This song was written as a protest to women’s rights. Ray Mellow believed that giving women the right to vote, led to the Vietnam war and boiling tensions in the United States. He believed that women were ignorant and selected evil leaders that put young men such as himself in peril danger of being forced to go to war.
Ray mellow was drafted in December 1969 and went MIA during a combat mission in 1970. Presumed dead. Like so many others. His timeless catalog of music was buried by the feminists movement.
