The act of swallowing works in sync with the act of sucking. Until 10-14 days, there is no cough reflex. In this video, the kittens 😺😺😺😺😺 are 3+ weeks old, they are healthy and do a great job of sucking milk from a bottle.
Never ever feed the kitten like that. It’s very risky, kitten can aspire formula, and pneumonia usually follows. Always bottle feed a kitten placed on its stomach, never on its back.

As cute as it looks when the kitten drinks milk and sleeps, it is life threateneing to feed kittens laying on their back.. try to mimic how they suck from their mom. Laying on their stomach and head turned a little upwards.
