If these are teams of all locally based players, we need more of it to develop local talent, other than relying heavily on overseas players. We need this for under 20s as well; and also get Tonga involved, so we can have a triangle tournament. Thursday mrn - February 9, 2023.

Samoa very weak defensively. I'd say their defensive structures or lack of have a lot to do with that, but their individual technique is also poor. They would benefit a lot from a northern defensive coach who could implement an effective rush defense which would help overcome the smaller size of the Samoans by allowing them to get up quickly before the bigger Fijians can build any momentum. Catching them behind the advantage line would also allow them to reform their d line before the next phase. They were frequently caught short and scrambling constantly in this game.

Seems the PNC itself will be in Samoa 2023, it might also happen for the Pacific Rugby Cup me thinks.
