I first watched Misfits in 2012 it was like the last recommend thing On Hulu and boy am I glad I did. That show was Art!

My favorite season was season 2. A lot of those actors actually became quite successful later on. Iwan Rheon, Michelle Fairley, Robert Sheehan, and Ruth Negga specifically.

What makes the Boys so great, is the example it sets up of what if Superheroes existed in real life.

The Boys was especially amazing because it gave us a completely different and twisted view of superheros behind the scenes
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, VR Troopers, Kamen Rider, oh and Big Bad Beetleborgs, were all similar good 90s superhero kid shows 😃

I wouldn't really call Heroes "underrated" it was one of the biggest shows on TV in its first season
But how does it hold over time is what make it great. I don’t think too many know just how good it was
It was the greatest during it's time but I think at a point the story began to lose it's edge.

The entire TMNT franchise is also part of our childhood, adolescence and adulthood, 100 percent.

2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will forever be etched into my childhood. I even had the 3 ps2 games and everyone in my neighborhood would come over to play them.
This is comin from a 2000s kid but I was raised on both the old and new TMNT. My parents were of course bron in the 80s and agreed that my siblings and I should watch older cartoons and boy did they not disappoint!

The new tick was so good can't believe they canceled and then ended the series. Such a bummer they couldn't find a home on any other streaming services

Yeah, I got impatient, so I started buying the large graphic novels called compendiums of that comic. I'm doing the same with The Boys. They're both great reads, and it's fun to see what they changed from comics to TV.

For a show I just randomly caught from the start and took a chance on watching, I loved, loved, loved Misfits.
I absolutely LOVE Misfits, especially the first 3 seasons. My favorite episode is the one with the kid that has "lactokinesis"? Not sure if the spelling but the scene where Simon finds everyone dead mixed with the incredible score, still gives me goosebumps.
I’m so mad Alphas didn’t keep going cause I thought that was a really good show. Love the idea of almost mundane super powers that are a hindrance as well as an advantage glad it got a honorable mention

Agreed. Quality dropped in the later seasons but when the first season was airing, I practically planned my week around it
I can't think of any other show that went down that far that fast. Season 1 was absolutely amazing. Everything after that was unwatchable.

Definitely The Boys, for me. Karl Urban's Butcher became one of my favorite characters of streaming since Walter White.
The Boys has cemented itself as one of my favorite shows of all time; it is a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned

The Boys is easily top for me. Just a brilliant, brilliant show. Hope it runs for a very long time. Though it's not strictly a superhero show, I absolutely loved Preacher. Sucked it only ran for four seasons.
All the different The Tick series are criminally underrated
If I had superpowers from Heroes and Reborn, I would want Empathic Mimicry, Elemental Control and Intuitive Aptitude (minus the hunger side effects). As for animes despite not being mentioned, my favorite was Cardcaptors; A young girl unleashes spirits with different power and must trap them again in magic cards, to protect her town, friends and family.
Edit: I almost forgot, I also want Accelerated Probability as that's like Heroes version luck powers as Intuitive Aptitude is super intelligence.
Darkwing Duck deserves an honorable mention!

I’m not into superhero stuff generally but I love The Umbrella Academy and Misfits! Robert Sheehan is the best part of both shows for me.

I've seen "The Powerpuff Girls", the 2003 series of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", and "Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy"! I've also seen trailers of "Invincible" and my sibling watching a clip of "Gargoyles"! Invincible is strong! I just realized that's the point. All the others shows on this list look like great ones! Someone in another UA-cam video recommended me to check out "Tick". I didn't recognize Patrick Warburton until he was mentioned! I didn't know the Gargoyles save the day. I feel sorry for the soldier and the girlfriend who died in this video.
The boys is masterpiece not just best superhero tv shows but could be one of the best tv shows of decade so far

How did the original TMNT make it in over any of the three succeeding iterations
Netflix's Guardian's of Justice was a nostalgic callback to 80's Saturday morning tv if they were turned up to 11 deserved a shout too

I'm surprise that "He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe" and "She-Ra: Princess Of Power" are not on the list because I consider them best superhero series I ever loved.
I think most people see them as warriors rather than super heroes because those shows had a more fantasy vibe than a comic book vibe. Both are great shows tho.

Extra: Super Inggo, it aired from 2006 to 2007. The show is from my country, the Philippines, and the story follows Budong, a 10-year-old boy who became the superhero, Super Inggo, after he discovered his powers and recruited to the Power Academy. Heck, the show got a 7-episode sequel and in 2009, even a cartoon spinoff.
So love The Boys, can't wait for S4 😍

The Boys is the most genius superhero series in creation. I'm not VERY into superhero stuff, but, The Boys has it ALL! The origin stories, the types of powers explored, and, every teenage boy's weird fantasies about superheroes' sexual proclivities. I was 14 once and always wondered what that would be like! I laughed so hard I thought I'd hyperventilate!

I got impatient waiting on the next season of Invincible and The Boys, so I started buying the compendium comic collections from each. They're both great reads, and it's fun to see how the shows differ from the comics.
Disney's Sky High, Disney's Up, Up, Away, Tresure Planent, and also Lastly Zoom Academy for Superheroes!
The newer version of The Tick is amazing. I finished watching the boys newest season and the cartoon they did for it and then watched invincible. Loved them all but felt lost when they finished. But the newer version of The Tick (wich you guys didn't even show) was so so so good. Wish they didn't cancel it.
3) that I consider incredibly underrated and great.
1). Powers - it was a Sony interactive produced show that I think was only able to be watched on PS3 and PS4. Great actors, including Michael Madden and Sharito Copley, great premise. Very similar in themes as The Boys. Only one main thing separates them, budget. Had Powers had the budget and backing of Amazon instead of being a test product of trying to put Sony productions on the map I think it would be more recognized. Great underrated show.
2) Deadly Class- the music and different characters blew me away on this show. Characters from different cultures and perspectives plus an incredible cast that included Henry Rollins and Benedict Wong was great with a season finale that I thought was emotionally hard hitting with a song and death of a character that was one of my favorites in the show.
3) I-Zombie which is more of just a guilty pleasure for me.
One thing I might be wrong about is if they’re Marvel or DC. They are not specifically either of those but maybe IDW or whatever label they do carry is an off shoot of DC or Marvel? I don’t know for sure honestly but I would put all 3 of these up against any of the ones on this list. Not that they are ‘better’ but that they are equally deserving of recognition.
And that’s only my opinion on this obviously

There was an 80's superhero show called "The Greatest American Hero" starring William Katt and Robert Culp.
Yeah they showed it in the open credits but it didn’t even make the list or honorable mentions.

I have to admit that did see to much live action show "The Tick "! But I loved the animated "The Tick " show in the nineties ,Since it made fun of the super hero genre .Which made the show cool to watch ,And give it some some class cause it was different .

The Misfits was really good in the first three seasons but I wasn't feeling it once the og cast started leaving.

Heroes’ debut season was nominated for best series at the Emmys, that already separates it from the rest of this list and the fact that it only got #10 just shows the flaws in these lists and how much they skew towards current media
Invincible and the boys are the goat of Amazon tv series. it’s epic, gory and anything great about these shows.
