Um, not to burst your bubble but I don't think they attended "music school". Just pure talent, ambition and the willingness to learn. But yes, music education is just as fundamental as any other subject without question.
@@EdmundRogersPhotography yes most black musicians learned in public school. Quincy would play in clubs when he was 15 too. The Detroit Motown scene were a lot of people who learned because of music in public schools
"Ai No Corrida" (lit. Bullfight of Love) is a song by the English singer and multi-instrumentalist Chaz Jankel, written by Jankel and Kenny Young. The title is based on the Japanese title of the erotic film In the Realm of the Senses] It was first recorded in 1980 and featured on Chaz Jankel's debut album Chas Jankel for A&M Records. The song was covered by Quincy Jones in 1981 on his album The Dude, with vocals by Dune (a.k.a. Charles May) and Patti Austin. Jones's version peaked at number 28 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number 10 on the R&B chart. Quincy Jones's 1981 recording of the song won the Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals in 1982.

she made this song, I could hear that voice in the back ground coming through smooth and nice and when it had the repeats you can hear her voice clear. amazing singer.
I could close my eyes and I was easily transported back in time when this song first came out. Peabo Bryson passed away and she totally blew this solo rendition away. She originally arranged the background vocals, you should check out the video of them in Japan; outstanding
Quincy Jones is my all-time favorite music producer. He has produced musical magic. As much of his music I have discovered and experienced, I continue to get surprised and amazed my new/old treasures. He has been a true gift to the world of music.
Amazing composition. Glad that Patty acknowledged the lead drummer JR (John) Robinson; wish cameraman had filmed more than his arms (he’s wearing black shirt). Got glimpses of other drummer.
Patti's still got it, but to bad Louis Johnson wasn't able to be there to play the bass part properly. The bridge part should have had his bass solo, though that guitarist did OK trying to make up for it.
I was thinking its here but why is she singing....? How amazing is that even the little bigger Lady seems familiar to me...? Pattie Austin what a Legend she is...? No james Ingram....?
Incredible, I have researched and found nothing about the name of the back vocals of this show, why is it? Impressive, does anyone know how to answer? Did they come from another planet, materialize especially for this show and then immediately return to the magical dimension where they live in a portal that takes them by teleport to another planet? Wow, what a mystery ... kkkkkk
These musicians are the reasons why we need to always have music programs in the public schools 🎼🎷🎸🎹🎺🎤

This is a very vocally challenging song. If Patti was on a tour, I could not imagine performing it every night
She makes it look so easy ! What a voice....

Gracias.
