I have a ton of respect for the owner of Circa. He is competing with some big hotels with deep pockets. He is doing a hell of a job. The man gets it. He puts his personal touch on everything. Keeps his and the properties name out there. And he is spending to stay ahead of the curve and continuing to innovate. Good story I love small businesses thriving against the big guys. They're not a small business. The owner comes from wealthy family, inherited a manufacturing company and now they own Circa, Golden Gate, and the D downtown. Saying he is a small business is absurd.
@@2011blueman - Derek Stevens isn't a mega-corporation like the ones everyone knows. Downtown is really an improvement from years ago. Smart money is moving newer casinos in like The D. Plaza used to be Union Station but has really uped its game with a very savvy CEO. Circa is also very nice because it requires you to show your ID. Don’t mind that at all! Tony Roma’s in the Fremont has a terrific prime rib special. And now El Cortez is remodeling. Edibles and smoking don't have the same effect. Edibles can be way too strong and a lot of people can't handle them compared to smoking. At a Phish or Dead show, smoking should be expected and welcomed.

There is more to this land purchase with Torino and Knavos that meets the eye. They pay roughly 3.5 million an acres and the billionaire boys pay 22.5 million an acres So the billionaires Koch and company are that dumb. This isn't the end to this. They go ahead and buy the front 5 its 13.5 million n a acres Thats more in line. Disappointing Torino gets on pbs video in vegas and says we have great opportunity for a entertainment retail complex . I dont think they couldnt get the money. This is all strange. If they really are losing $400K a day at Foutainebleau then I wouldn't be surprised if they are quickly kicked out and new people are put in charge that change the place to being gambler friendly. We're talking about a period where all the other casinos are making record revenue and profits. The fact that they're the newest property on the strip and they're losing money in a great economy would be mind blowing except I've been there is they're clearly not trying to attract gamblers to the casino.

What happened to this channel? I got used to hotel reviews, construction updates and live streaming. It has now become the middleman of UA-cam channels. It relies on third party channels, like VitalVegas, for all their content. You've really embraced goofing-off for a living. By the way, the escalator guy committed battery. I'm glad you guys found it funny, regardless of whether the victim found it amusing.
4:18 MGM should buy the old Circa screens and install then at Luxor.................the Luxor sportsbook screens are like watching a 1986 projection TV
Stayed four days at the Fountainebleau a few months ago and it was absolutely fantastic. The customer service was topnotch; the room was gorgeous and housekeeping kept it clean everyday; the spa was excellent and the restaurants were great! I'm in Vegas three times a year and see myself staying there again, very soon.
I'm sooooooooo excited for my first-ever stay there in August! 😍 I know it's very trendy and fashionable to hate on Fontainebleau right now (seriously: I've seen numerous UA-camrs who have no intention of ever even staying there and giving it a chance already deeming it a failure 🙃) and some of the hubris IS on them..............but it doesn't change the fact I'm rooting for FB just like any reasonable-minded person should.
The evolution of the opening up of sports gambling from your apps on your phone is why they make these places like Circa. So easy to place a bet or multiple bets with ease and sit and watch on great screens because the game you bet on will be playing and you have some drinks and hang out with your like minded gaming buddies. And you can add a new bet at any time for in-game, next game in a blink of an eye. And the app lets you bet on any sport, player, parlay, etc. etc.
Fontainebleau NEEDS to clean house in its management! Very toxic work environment, they use the fact that Vegas is an "at-will" state. They fire employees for an reason.
A while back me and my girl were on the river walk in Laughlin and she saw a critter ahead of us, she said she thought it was a cat and she was partially right. It was a polecat. They also have raccoons, ducks and occasional rat siting. The black boxes in the bushes around the casinos are for poisoning rats.
went to M Resorts pool $15 fee (not a hotel guest;) decent + lots of moms and little kids. Wondering if they cater to locals. 2 long long pools; decent + atmosphere
Fontainebleau is amazing if you stay there..the spa is top 3 in vegas.. the gym is phenomenal and will make you actually want to workout in vegas. the ice machines have filtered water spickites so you don't have to go buy a lot of water for your room. Some of the best views of the strip because the building is so tall. the pool is very big and very chill. any restaurant is very good.. anything else negative about the property is just noise..
I’ve been to all of the above but on this trip we just did Tokyo and Taipei! Another amazing visit to Japan and it was fun going back to Taipei since I had only spent limited time there. It was my daughter’s first time in Taiwan as well.
Im curious.... something no Vegas insiders ever talk about is Carnaval Court between Linq and Harrahs. 10 years ago, that place was a blast. Packed every time. For a while now it seems to be on life support. Any idea what changed and if there are any plans to resuscitate it?
I agree it used to be amazing. Not sure what changed but I haven’t been inside in awhile and every time I have passed by recently it has been sort of dead.
I wonder how much of it is the talent they book. Their crowd seemed to be people who wanted a blue collar "club" if you will with a mix of rock, 2000s alternative, and a little but of hip hop and edm. The Flamingo pool parties proved that group is big. Maybe their DJ should do carnaval court, too.
I love how Circa is upgrading the screen at Stadium Swim, I don't if I could stay there since it's a 21+ hotel. Note: Is it me or this video was age restricted?

Oscar's at Plaza is still on my bucket list. 😊
The patio in early October was amazing!
It's good not great
Thank You for always directing the obnoxious tourists to the Strip and Freemont Street. Keep the real Vegas for us Locals.
While I get your premise some of the real Vegas also exists those places. Locals don’t visit often enough although I 💯 understand why as well. But sometimes I think we as locals forget about the spectacle of the place.
@@Milestomemories Retired from working in the Engineering Department for one of the Strip Ceasars Entertainment properties. The Spectacle is a ostentatious element and institutionally dependent. Seen it degrade over the last three decades. Sometimes great entertainment, excellent food (almost always accompanied by very poor service), gambling sucks, but plenty of sex and drugs.
12:00 And I’m waiting for I-215 turning into I-211 or I-111
Hey, the first story, how did you get my vacation videos?
Edibles and smoking don't have the same effect. Edibles can be way too strong and a lot of people can't handle them compared to smoking. At a Phish or Dead show, smoking should be expected and welcomed.
I personally don’t have an issue with it but a lot of people don’t like the smell. I do know that Dead concerts historically have been all about that though. And you’re right about it being different.
Gpt married at the plaza in 1994 and they were just starting the canapys pillars on fremont
Re: Fountainebleau ; Mark sounds bias because they didnt comp him for a room or gaming. ha ha. or he pimps for Wynn. Enough beating up FB , its getting old dudes. Some of us have great experiences with this property. I got what a I paid for, and thensome. I recomend it to business colleagues and friends. We stay there during conventions and for fun. Classy place, that said, the jorts and wifebeater crowd will feel uncomfortable, gotta take a bath and wear nice clean clothes and shoes to fit in.
Have you watched the shows where we discuss the many positive reviews people have had?
If you like to see some big rats just visit DC. I was at a club to check out a band and when leaving I mention to my friend look at all of them cats over there. She replied to Them not cats they are rats, and she was correct.
It must be for a parking structure any parking on the strip a gold mine
If one place could use a parking structure it is FB haha
Decades ago I saw rats running around the snack area in Slots ‘o Fun. 😮
Nasty
Welcome back
Thank you!
Watching old videos of people wearing masks makes me ill..... It just amazes me how bad we got played and fell for it..... Hope it never happens again...
NOT AMAZING... should have been arrested/ not stop the escalator...society a mess
man i love you guys ....
Appreciate it - glad you enjoy the show!
Talk about drinking alcohol in this video (4X times)
Thanks for the stat!
Happy ending? "You usually have to pay extra for that, Cotton."
🤪😂
I saw many rats down by the bus stop next to Ross across the road from resorts world
love your show but i dont see anything funny about a drunk punching an innocent guy.
I think Torino and Knavos back out fail to pay. Its in the contract. Or something else is up big Koch has billions.
Don't underestimate the Koch's
I sure hope that Marc was sure the baby opossum had really expired as they're really good at playing dead.. (playing possum)
It was dead for sure
Can you pls pronounce it the way it's supposed to be....plaza as in plawza and not the way you say it lol
One of the biggest mistakes in Nevada history shutting down the state. The way they did

the only one that calls it fountain blue 😂
You sure about that? 😂
Besides the owners of the property I guess.... lol
The guy going up the down escalator is one of the reaso I can’t stand the jerks who go to Vegas today. It’s like a tailgate party has taken over the strip.
I watched the entire video and was so impressed with the CEO and interacting with his employees, he really cares about them, The Plaza looks great, I also love all those lights, I’ll definitely make a stop there.
Love ❤your channel 👏👏👏👏
Yeah it was a great video. Very well done too.
Thanks for watching Linda
If they really are losing $400K a day at Foutainebleau then I wouldn't be surprised if they are quickly kicked out and new people are put in charge that change the place to being gambler friendly. We're talking about a period where all the other casinos are making record revenue and profits. The fact that they're the newest property on the strip and they're losing money in a great economy would be mind blowing except I've been there is they're clearly not trying to attract gamblers to the casino.
Other than the French name, the inside just looks American.
Paris does so much better with the French theme.
Margaritaville was always busy, and I went 2-3 rimes a year for many, many years. Sucks Caesar’s destroyed a popular restaurant on the strip, just to put another bar there
Bob Stupak’s “Vegas World” was the “bomb”! Bob Stupak is a Vegas legend. Love the vlog!❤
I remember playing the card game "War" for money there. I didn't win, and it was still fun.
That place was so weird. I remember being mesmerized as a kid.
I remember that place. Novices didn’t do well there.
@@Milestomemories
They(Stupak) advertised in the back of the magazines for a fantastic offer, free play, match play, free food, free rooms after you paid a $500 reservation
I just bought a "Vegas World" book of matches from Spinettis Gaming supplies. It's one of my favorite in my collection. I always found the history of that Casino fascinating. Bob is a legend✨️👍
Just came back from Vegas, I'm from NJ/NY and I was still pretty shocked how many rats I saw in front of Caesars at night... They seem very comfortable out there. There was a guy sleeping out front and the rats were def running over him. Outside of that, I didn't really worry about anything
The only rats I seen in Vegas are the two legged ones.
Yeah I’m sure they have a decent value.
Someone should use them for sure. Maybe they will take them to some offsite Circa sportsbooks
I seen many rats at the Mirage Volcano show at night climbing up and down the palm trees
Ugh not surprised but glad I never saw them!
@@Milestomemories that place is going to be crazy when the demolition starts rats everywhere to escape the destruction
Audio quality on this video was pretty bad.
Yeah there was a problem with my mic levels and it clipped. Did my best to clean it up but shouldn’t be an issue on future videos. I apologize.
FB's days are numbered. That place was the worst ever. Good riddance, hopefully.
I know it's very trendy and fashionable to hate on Fontainebleau right now (seriously: I've seen numerous UA-camrs who have no intention of ever even staying there and giving it a chance already deeming it a failure 🙃) and some of the hubris IS on them..............but it doesn't change the fact I'm rooting for FB just like any reasonable-minded person should.
Haha not surprising.
Laughlin just getting in touch with nature!
Plaza is still the last place I would want to visit. Go across the street to Circa instead, Plaza is a dump.
went to M Resorts pool $15 fee (not a hotel guest;) decent + lots of moms and little kids. Wondering if they cater to locals. 2 long long pools; decent + atmosphere
Kick out FB, bring back Stardust!
stardust was where resorts world is not fb
Fontainebleau is amazing if you stay there..the spa is top 3 in vegas.. the gym is phenomenal and will make you actually want to workout in vegas. the ice machines have filtered water spickites so you don't have to go buy a lot of water for your room. Some of the best views of the strip because the building is so tall. the pool is very big and very chill. any restaurant is very good.. anything else negative about the property is just noise..
Where in Asia did you go? I used to live in Asia. Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand.
I’ve been to all of the above but on this trip we just did Tokyo and Taipei! Another amazing visit to Japan and it was fun going back to Taipei since I had only spent limited time there. It was my daughter’s first time in Taiwan as well.
Can't AZ just build a toll road to recoup the cost of construction to build I-11 to Phoenix? FL has toll roads everywhere in Central Florida.
Im curious.... something no Vegas insiders ever talk about is Carnaval Court between Linq and Harrahs. 10 years ago, that place was a blast. Packed every time. For a while now it seems to be on life support. Any idea what changed and if there are any plans to resuscitate it?
Same as always, I suppose: they allow a project to lose money for a while, but if all it ever does is lose money, they cancel it.
I got that notice too. Odd!
