you should discuss how the insects would evolve too. how they'd adapt to survive a world of beardies, or even with some on islands, they become dominant
Im imagining some insects growing larger and developing stronger flight to avoid the lizards. The lack of birds in this world would mean the sky is a safe haven for insects.
With humidity rising, dragons will be forced near bodies of water, which could lead to stagnisaurus filling the role of crocodilians, waiting at the waters edge for other unsuspecting dragons to walk by in order to devour them. Nuchosaurus might even evolve into something like a hippo or manatee.
This series deserves a lot more views. I hope you monetize this and receive another sponsorship in your future videos. Please keep up the great work. 👍🏼
I could see some reptiles evolving a larger and spikier beard to intimidate and fend of predators. Some lizards could maybe start becoming fast and nimble to be able to snatch young Nuchosaurus and run away without the parents running after them due to them being to lazy
I would love to see more information on what the insects, fish, and maybe even plants do as they evolve! It is likely that they will become interesting, and I hope to see more interesting species like the Megamouth Bass.
Your science behind Nuchosaurus was incredibly solid, saving energy is one of the most important things in nature and one of the strongest factors in natural selection! While Doofus and his lineage may have needed more food from getting bigger, it still saved calories having to not climb or compete with closer to the ground dragons. Nuchosaurus is possibly on the right path already for big things to come!
I’d love more on the stagnisaurus as it gets bigger and splits into fully aquatic ones and more semi and probably a crocodile like one since crocodiles are peak!
You should mention how other organisms on this planet are adapting, as well as further evolution in the beardies, like a predator for the bigger herbivores
Loving this series so far, I could see predators adopting saw Like teeth to Prey on larger animals. Shaking their heads the way sharks do to cut pieces off of larger Prey.
This is one of my favorite spec evo project. I am happy that more people are doing these. I hope your channel becomes even more popular becouse you deserve much more subs then you have right now.
My prediction for the next episode is Porcupine Bearded Dragons, horn ramming Dragons, Gliding Dragons, Komodo Bearded Dragons, Bipedal Dragons, and Snake Bearded Dragons.
Another reason for large herbivores to evolve is simply a lot of food which can sustain a larger body. As they grow large, halwfay through the way to becoming a new species, largest herbivorous bearded dragons would realize that they can reach taller plants, and so they'd start doing it with great success and no competition, as there are no other large animals to feed on it all.
Could be cool to see a bearded dragon that adapts to turn the majority of its body black instead of just its neck to help it camouflage or hunt in the night
This project is incredibly good and I can’t wait to see more. I only question is are there gonna be any burrowing bearded dragon species or maybe even fully aquatic possibly a large Apex predator one that specializes in insectivore-ish behaviors or maybe one that grows to be a giant tank or basically a dragon also, what the fish doing Are we going to see bass-Sharks? Also, is it possible we might get a bearded dragon turtle? If so, that would be bad ass. Keep up the good work.❤😊 10:08
Absolutely love the buffet naming convention! And with the climatic shifts turning more of the planet into forested and jungle areas, I could very well see a certain big red dragon taking on a niche similar to that of a felid or even a sebecosuchian esque predator!
Technically speaking, while your pounds change with gravity, your kilograms do not. Pounds are weight, but kilograms are mass. A difference that barely matters for everyday life, but an important distinction to make for astrophysics.
You might wanna look into the development of the four-chambered heart in mammals and reptiles, I think it would be relevant as these animals get larger and more active, as it allowed terrestrial life to become warm blooded and stand upright.
A four-chambered heart could also be emulated (possibly as a pathway to a true four-chambered heart) by making oxygenated and deoxygenated blood flow at different pressures (like in pythons, boas and monitors.)
I love how you give this series a little wholesome vibe. Alien Evolution sounds a bit more clinical about everything, which is nice, but you're much more pleasant to listen to without losing the semi-science of the entire seed world concept
Since the moon is a similar size to orbis pogona, if the scale you showed is correct, that would make the planet actually a binary system! Much like pluto and charon, in which the orbital point is outside of pluto's center of mass.
This is cool, I reckon the predatory bearded dragons will develop longer limbs, possibly in the future, they might even walk like the theropods that came before them.
I really think the spike/thorn-like ornaments on the beard could be used to develop some spiky defensive adaptations like a porcupine for example or a thorny devil and as such the porcupine-dragon (name is your choice) should in turn be basically immune to predation ALL except for a honey-badger like bearded-dragon with black air force energy seaming off its scales
I got an idea for the next episode considering that they just showed the animated series for Ark but what would happen if Wolverine was in that world and by that world I mean the world of Ark
"The moon is named after my first bearded dragon"
"The moon has a moonlet, named Mohimet, after my elementary school"

That makes a lot of sense. But I think it would take a bit (or maybe not).
Based pfp, however Nuchosaurus still remains in mostly dry regions and not near very many bodies of water.

Damn things are getting really interesting and fun with this part. I love the new animals and can't wait to see more of this project as time goes on

U should definitely take continental drift into account, how do these animals react to mountains and canyons forming
The little interactions between the lizards is fun. The last one was my favorite so far.
Talking about their tongue might be cool too ~
Especially since the water one and the tall one might not need, or could not use the saliva efficiently
