It never ceases to amaze me how men can be unconscious in the middle of all the commotion! Btw, Kayla, I was an elementary teacher for 30 yrs, most of those yrs in kindergarten, and Riley is sooo smart, capable, and engaged! You are doing an amazing job!

@@adeline5688 Don’t worry! He is still very young, and boys often lag behind girls developmentally. As a teacher and reading specialist, talk to him nonstop and keep exposing him to language. Sing lots of songs and nursery rhymes and encourage him to sing along with you. Play them in the car and everywhere. Read, read, read! There are a gazillion great books for toddlers! Encourage imaginary play and talk about what he’s doing. Talk about things that he is interested in. My son loved vehicles and construction, so I’d take him to construction sites and we’d talk about everything there. He loved it! Always share any concerns with your pediatrician. Have fun, because they are grown before you know it!

Im in PT for my heart baby and one of the things they talk about is when it comes to the time when he will be walking with support like Jackson does that you should not hold his arms over his head it throws off their balance. Try holding his hands down by his sides and encouraging him to balance with his arms when needed. No hate or trying to be a know it all just something I learned and am sharing. You're doing amazing regardless!

I found that chess can improve ones mind and can sharpen and improve skills faster. I started playing chess at age 3 once ever while and it helped sharpen me to do other activities with my parents. That helped my skills a lot and in grade 5 to 8 I won a bronze and three silver medals from playing in school chess tournaments against other schools in my region.

Thanks for mentioning cutting into the straw cup Jackson uses. I had bought 3 of the same ones and hadn’t been able to get my son to use them because they were so hard to suck. After you said that your hubby poked at them I did it too and now he uses them no problem.

**Just a tip, if you use a measuring cup, like a 1/4 cup, to fill the cupcake/muffin tins, it makes it SOO much easier!!**
Also, just a question, and I am NOT trying to be rude by any means, why do you leave Riley alone with the stickers if she puts them all over places where she shouldn't? Why don't you just give her stickers at specific times at the table with paper and tell her that's where they go and if she puts them somewhere else take them away, so you don't have to peel stickers off of random places anymore lol
I mentioned this in a comment in another video and I'm not sure if you saw it, but you should definitely try curling your hair by sleeping in overnight hair rollers! Normally with a hot curling iron, my hair will fall flat within a few hours. But with rollers, it stays curled for 2-3 days!! I think you should look into it. Love your vlogs!!
My baby boy is the same age as Jackson and our parenting style is SOO similar. I have nothing to compare this journey to (thanks covid) so just seeing how another baby and mom go about there day makes me relax a little. Is that weird? Haha

@@KaylaBuell I make a gigantic mess trying to pour it from the bowl. Even the bowls with the spout built-in doesn't work for me. My mom was perfect at doing it this way, but I'm not. I'm sure if I kept practicing it would work, but I end up wasting 1/4 of the batter. My daughter says "mess. Mess. Mess." It's like "yes honey. Thank you for telling me that."

Use amber anklet or necklace for Jackson to make him more comfortable with teething. Use a real authentic one. Seems to work for my kids.
