I'm totally in love with the Mason jar one that you made a frame for it from the race tracks!! Where did you get that place mat was it Dollar General I want to see if I could find some like that. Tfs all came out so beautiful!! ❤❤
I'm glad you showed up in my recommendations! I absolutely LOVE the way you leave in any hiccups in the process and show how you fixed it as well as explaining why you chose certain products and processes. So much great info, and your voice is so pleasant and calm! It's like having a chat with a friend while puttering with projects.
OMG thank you so much for sharing your ideas with crafting I have 10 grandchildren my oldest being 15 she always loves to do crafts and she's ocd-like me everything has to be perfect so with four of my older grandchildren we were going to be doing some crafting and stuff for their moms at home and stuff for my home that is super cute thank you for sharing😊
I just love your ideas and the fact that you show that crafting isn't perfect and fixing oopsies is no big deal! I also love your affordable and simple solutions to things - like using soft men's shirts to wear to protect your clothes and how you cut your pumpkin craft in half to create a template to use to get the opposite side of the pumpkin to match. So simple, such a great idea - and one I probably wouldn't even have thought of! I look forward to and love each of your videos! Thank you for sharing so much with us and being an inspiration to fairly new hobby crafters like myself.
You did a wonderful job on all these Diy's I have done a few things with place mats but you did much better than I did on mine. I was so shocked when you used the hot wheels track for a frame I have to try that one.
It was great to see you back! I love everyone one of these Holly! I definitely wouldn't have thought of using racetracks for a picture frame. Brilliant!! God bless and thank you for sharing your talents and ideas with us.
You know that I, of course, LOVE these! I actually framed the placemat that you done with hot wheel tracks a couple of years ago & loved it! I didn't use hot wheel tracks but I adore that idea! That looked fantastic! I can't begin to express my excitement when you started talking fall crafting 💖💖💖! I perked up like you wouldn't believe😂. I'm about ready for it 👏🤗. It takes me a while because I like to do so much each year so I start on every season & holiday crazy early (kind of like you creators) so I was VERY excited. Then you brought the raffia out...oh my, oh my...be still my heart 💖! LOOOOOVE it 🙂. Welcome back Ms. Holly 💖.
The placemat tray is really good, but my first thought was to not glue the placemat down, that way it can be changed seasonally. But yours is very nice
Holly TFS these wonderful ideas to use placemats! I love love that pumpkin; I am all ready for Fall. ❤ I once made a table with a DT placement in a large frame and put it on top of doubled up DT planters 😊 It’s still standing 😅
100 % cotton 👕, you can't go wrong .l have to pick myself up more men's t-shirts for myself . I clean houses, and l found 100 % cotton t-shirts work best for me. I tried wearing the shirt people wear exercise in, but they were made of polyester . Polyester to exercise in ??? . I love the tray . DC
The signs at 💵 🌳 & other stores are made with MDF. It's basically saw dust and possibly other media that's mixed with a glue substance & then poured into a mold that's dried, then sliced. Sometimes it's dyed prior to pouring into a mold & other times it dyed after it's removed from the mold & sliced. Which would explain size that are the same shape & size, but the back edges are different colors than other signs. It's not water proof. It will start to expand if it gets enough water on it to expand. You have to treat it with some sort of varnish for water proofing. Or only hang it or use it in areas that are mostly dry... Also if they're used in a damp area, eventually they will still start to expand. So finishing your products if placing in humid areas (kitchen if you do a lot of cooking or bathrooms or basement areas) you'll want to either brush or spray varnish on all areas.
Holly love all your crafts and videos. I bought one of those cutting things and it won't even cut paper!!! I was so disappointed because it seems like everyone uses it to cut so much.
So glad you’re back!! BTW other you tubers are giving you props for your painting techniques! I was watching a few new to me crafters and 4 of them mentioned you and your ability to make anything look like wood!
All of these projects came out gorgeous. Who would have known you can make such beautiful things with place mats. Love them all, and oh my word, never thought of using the car tracks to make a frame, genius idea :)
I absolutely love what you did with the Hot Wheel tracks that is the cutest picture and you are such an amazing crafter with such UniQue Ideas I get such a joy watching you
I’ve been watching your videos a while and there has never been a time that I didn’t just love all of them. Also you have such unique ideas such as , Racetrack for picture frames. Two of my sisters were artists and I have inherited so many paintings that need new frames. I can’t wait to try this. Aldo I had the same problem with cutting with the shears. I went back and ordered a second set that a different Diyer recommended and they worked. Right now I can see her face but can’t remember her name. I will let you know. You need to be writing books a bout crafting. Thanks so much. Janice
Oh my GOSH, Holly!! These were simply BRILLIANT!!! What amazing items to be able to sell at a craft show!!!! Can’t wait to get started!! You always share the most CREATIVE THINGS!!!
I really enjoyed every creation. The racetrack one was perfect timing for me because I am repurposing a piece of artwork I’ve had for years and was figuring out how to do a frame. This was a treat and a treasure to see your creative ways. Fun video!
Great transformations of vinyl placemats! You have the knack and I so enjoy watching you craft. Thanks for the idea of using men’s t-shirts as a cover up. I use them to garden in but not for crafts. DUH! Have a safe and Happy 4th 🎉.
For paint cover-ups: 1. I buy men's dress shirts at GoodWill. I usually buy 4, (2 short-sleeved for summer & 2 long-sleeved for winter or when I have a long-sleeved shirt on under it) large enough that they will go over my regular clothes, including a sweatshirt or sweater in cold weather. I look for shirts that have some polyester so I don't have to iron them. I haven't bought any for a while, but the last time I bought some they were on sale for $2 each. Some have slightly-frayed collars or cuffs, but I've found shirts that look like they've never been worn. I used a very nice one (light blue with thin darker blue verticle lines) for years as a very light jacket for cool summer nights. I also carried it in my personal item on flights in case the A/C was too cool. After several years, it was looking a bit shabby, so it became another paint coverup. 2. When I taught art in public schools, I loved my wrap-around lab coat ---sometimes called a butcher coat. It had short sleeves and was about mid-thigh length. it protected my clothes and also had large side pockets & slits in the sides to reach pockets in my dress or slacks. I needed room keys, a pencil, eraser, sometimes tape & a pair of blunt-ended scissors almost every day, so I could easily carry what I needed as I went from student to student to help them. The front part could be wrapped with the left side over the right or vice-versa , so I could put the cleanest side (if meeting parents) or messiest side out (if doing something very messy.) I've seen them in various colors online for about $25. 3. Home-ec students made bib aprons with pockets and a long tie that went behind the neck and threaded down through side channels to the waist and tied in back, adjustable so they fit just about anyone. Lots of kids didn't take their finished aprons home, so at the end of every school year, the home ec teacher kept some for cooking classes and gave the rest of the ones left behind to the art dept and that's what students used when we did messy things.
Oh my gosh I got the place mat with the Mason jars and flowers..I wanted to frame mine but couldn't find a frame what a great idea now I can frame mine and enjoy this beautiful picture. Thank you so much. I loved all of your diys. May God Bless and have a great day 😊
I am so embarrassed… I had accidentally hit the thumbs down. It had been there for a while…. I am always in LOVE with all of your DIYS. Thank you again. Keep up bringing us VERY NICE DIYS.
I was also so excited to see some else as excited about the Dollar Tree placements, I did something much more simple I just cut them and put them in Dollar Tree frames and gifted them to my kids and of course I have mine hanging above my stove.
Hi Holly, hope you are doing well. I love watching your videos, it always relaxes me!!! All of these placemat crafts are absolutely beautiful! Take care and God bless!🌺💐🌸🌹🌻
I love that farmers market placemat! I use scrubs. I got some cheap ones that were on clearance through a couple of different uniform places online. I wear them to clean in and craft in.
My first Fall crafts video! I love all of these, but especially the pumpkin. I going to make a few to use as hotpads & smaller versions to use as coasters for Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you!
Men’s white t-shirts yes!! I found the George brand from Walmart to be sooo soft and light and comfy, they were better then the popular brands which I had always bought for my husband. Now I feel guilty because mine are better 😂
Loved all of these projects and definitely would like to try them. The picture frame with the hot wheels track was such a different idea and I really like it. I have to make this and I have so many pictures that I would like to re-frame since I am changing up a lot of my decor.
Holly!😃long time no see! Was so excited when you popped up on the feed to see what you’ve been doing lately and as always your still coming up with gorgeous diys out of unexpected things love these ideas and your right about looking at those mats in a different light now tyvm for the inspiration God bless missed two months worth going to have to binge watch and get caught up have a great day!
As usual…you knocked it out of the park! Love these! ❤❤❤ great idea on the shirts! Maybe I should get some and see if I remember to put them on BEFORE I craft…🤣❤️❤️❤️
My kitchen and dining room are actually decorated with a purple & green grapevine design. About 25 years ago I started buying the ivy vine in green and white, then you couldn’t find it, because they started selling the wine/grapevine items. Over the last 25 years I have collected some gorgeous items and made many items myself. The black placement is also my favorite!! Your box was STUNNING 💜! I am obsessed. Cannot wait to make some for my porch (huge southern porches here) in the seating areas for floral decor, books/magazines, throw blankets (that’s at least 3!). Thank you Ms Holly as always. Absolutely genius Edit: the last one matches my Bathroom to PERFECTION! I do not have a coastal theme in there, but the I use cobalt blue and white with light yellow warm walls. 👏👏👏
I used a wine themed placemat similar to the one you used for the pumpkin, using a round Dollar Tree sign to back it, adding some wine corks (tied up with jute) that I brought back from Paris. Now I want a chocolate croissant….
I love all of these. After you got those placements at Dollar General, I looked high and low for them. I couldn't find any of them at the Dollar Generals in my Arizona areas. I knew when you bought them to keep an eye out for your video. You craft the most awesome things. I appreciate you sharing your talents. Thank you 😊

The placemat tray is really good, but my first thought was to not glue the placemat down, that way it can be changed seasonally. But yours is very nice
Another great idea!
Wow love it! Great coverup of the seam!

The raised bumps are called Hob Nails

Using the track is genius. How well does the paint stick w/o rubbing off? Did you need to rough up the plastic first?
I recommend spray paint with primer mix for better adhesion and overall look.

The Dollar Tree designs are EMBOSSED. I guess you could call the little dodads EMBOSSMENTS.
Holly love all your crafts and videos. I bought one of those cutting things and it won't even cut paper!!! I was so disappointed because it seems like everyone uses it to cut so much.
I bought another one and I’m sending the one I have back. I’m going to try one more time! I think we both got duds!

Did you spray the mod podge before the bow? I love you ideas
On which project?
Hobnail is the usual name of the half round design

Yes recently. Thank you! 🤗

Thank you!
Delightful Holly. I never imagined placemats could look so good. Clever. And using those hot wheel tracks, Ingenious.

Awesome ideas! Thank you!
I love the idea of an oversized tee shirt to keep your clothes clean. I'll have to try that. All your ideas were great
Oh my gosh I got the place mat with the Mason jars and flowers..I wanted to frame mine but couldn't find a frame what a great idea now I can frame mine and enjoy this beautiful picture.
Thank you so much.

Love everything ❤️ but my 2 favorite is the Planter and the wine pumpkin love those two.
I am so embarrassed… I had accidentally hit the thumbs down. It had been there for a while…. I am always in LOVE with all of your DIYS. Thank you again.
Keep up bringing us VERY NICE DIYS.
Aww! Thank you! Hope you have a great week, my friend! ❤️
Awwe it happens hot humble pie is sweet too she’ll understand 😊
The bow is PERFECT! my prob with hot gluing larger areas is that the Allier glue part dries before I can stick it to the thing
I was also so excited to see some else as excited about the Dollar Tree placements, I did something much more simple I just cut them and put them in Dollar Tree frames and gifted them to my kids and of course I have mine hanging above my stove.
