I would love to see the originals do something like this - not to take anything away from the recording artists, just new, fresh versions of these amazing songs. The 2022 performances were by far my favourite renditions of their past hits and it would be a shame if they didn't do something (even an unplugged sessions or acoustic sessions of the classics) that gets a proper physical as well as digital release... you never know, stranger things have happened 😉❤

I'm with you, there were some amazing tracks from that album, personally my most played would be She's a Mess, Miss Everything and Crash & Burn but I also love the ones you mentioned 😍 You're spot on about the new material too, it would've coincided perfectly with the headline tour but I totally understand they've been mega busy, just a shame. @@DavesDeepDive Love in stereo is the best song on that Bananarama album. When I saw who the writers were, I immediately looked for a demo and found it. It makes my feet itch and I just wanna dance. I also loved the songs you mentioned from Sweet 7. But Wait for you will always have the deepest place in my heart. My deceased partner loved the song, so it's a melancholy banger for me. I also love the version Bruno Mars does of Wait for you with that slow Spanish guitar vibe. And I adore No more you that they performed live in the taxi. British pop bands are just awesome. My absolute fave band from there are Steps. I know people usually love or hate them, but their album What the future holds part 1 saved 2020 for me ❤️

I can't begin to imagine... and I totally understand why that song is so special to you, I will listen to it again today with a new appreciation after what you've said! I'm the same and I've always adored (particularly female) vocal groups. There is something so special when incredible voices harmonise the way the Sugababes do, it's unlike anything else in the world for me. I have a huge love of gospel choirs also and again, it's because of that heavenly sound that touches the soul. I can totally see why Steps would be a fave, again there's something special when (in my opinion, the females) harmonise together, led by Claire. They don't get the recognition they deserve which is very often the case. I loved What the Future Holds, I didn't listen to the entire album but that track was great!
you know what no boy/girl band has ever done ? it is releasing an album of rewirkments from their hits...i mean ,these arrangements are sick, i would lovw to hear these updates of the Babes catalogue on Record !!!!!!! Great Band and the girls slay as always !

@John Evans 👏👏 you make some excellent points John! I have said it before but I'll say again, this was by far my fave show of 2022 that I personally went to, there were so many "goosebumps" moments, the reaction to Round Round definitely being one of them 😆😆😉
Neutrally speaking, i don't have a single gripe about their vocal performance. I just wish they'd re-record all of these songs again to give it a newer and fresher sound.
The live shows with the band is already doing that, besides that, they've already said in an interview they wouldn't rerecord older tracks with mutya an Siobhan's voices
It was a great show in York, probs my favourite, helped by the ease of getting into the venue and right to the front, but the Babes were incredible, it was during the day which I preferred to a dark stage reliant upon (for some reason typically poor) lighting so overall I loved it. Did you notice in Bristol that the stage lights pointed directly in our faces at some points? 😂

It was really annoying - it was mostly security making all the noise and talking - there was an incident during Today - a girl appeared next to me and then collapsed to the floor, so that added to it, but they were talking the entire way through, and wouldn't move to the side when I asked politely, but that was my only criticism of this venue, aside from this it was fantastic 👍😉 thanks so much for watching ❤

Hi Tereza 👋 I don't know for certain but I suspect it had to do with their individual strengths... I know that prior to the tour, Keisha was saying she was losing sleep thinking about vocal arrangements for their show wanting everything to be spot on and perfect. As the songs were recorded with other artist/s, I think they're just trying to fit the vocalist to the song in the strongest way possible, hence why Keisha said she was thinking about vocal arrangements etc. I love hearing them do it differently though, somehow it seems to make the whole thing feel fresh and new 🥰❤
I'm thinking Siobhan might not be comfortable with starting of a 2.0 line-up song? When they toured back in 2013/2014 (not sure which year it was) as MKS and performed Push The Button, Mutya sang her own verse. Some of those shows Mutya sang Heidi's verse as well, some shows Mutya started off Heidi's verse and Siobhan finished it and in some shows Siobhan sang Heidi's verse herself. And now that Mutya and Siobhan swapped verses that made me think that that might be the case, but I don't know for sure. When they did the tour in november 2022 and performed 2 Hearts, Mutya sang Heidi's verse (the first verse) as well and Siobhan sang Heidi's pre-choruses, this also made me think that it might be the case.

I know what you mean, the individual thing goes so far but I think they need to do something more themed if that makes sense? I thought this on the headline tour, Mutya had some combat trousers on (she looked incredible 🥰) but it would've been even better if they'd all gone with that theme and they all had something combat-y on for example. Not saying I'd go for the combat look for them necessarily 😬 but I like the idea of a bit more cohesion in their outfits sometimes - I do wonder if we'll see some of this in their next promo video or at the one night only show in Sept... 🤔
