I've heard other choirs sing this, but had no idea the composer, Olutanji, wrote the sing after he graduated from Morehouse. I saw the choir perform this song on tv for the first time when I was just a little girl, and I have always Loved it. The Holidays just aren't the same without it. They sound and look so Beautiful as well!!!💗
"Oh my Lord, back to Africa" this is so beautiful, look at those handsome men singing and uplifting in praise. Oooo I feel like hollering like off "The Color Purple" this is simply wonderful, job well done. God bless. Oh by the way I attend Rust College.
dang, I just turned 19 here. what memories. saw this and recognized all these cats then remebered I was in the glee club too. hahaha. shout out to tenors.
Translation: We are glad that we have a Father to trust We are glad that we have a Father to rely upon Where was Jesus born? Where was He born? Bethlehem, the City of Wonder That is where the Father was born for sure Praise, praise, praise be to Him We thank Thee, we thank Thee, we thank Thee for this day, Gracious Father Praise, praise, praise be to Thee, Merciful Father
