Caste is not bouncing back...rather it is seen, felt, experienced in every possible form and hence widely discussed in media driven society...
It has become essential to discuss because of every reasons, some of them are compulsory in present circumstances...

9:18, caste and Race in India is written by Ghurye, not Risley. Risley wrote The Tribes and Castes of Bengal.

    Thank you...
We should start using Varna and Jati instead of confusing the two with the word Caste... and focus on solving the issues.

The word 'Caste' has been imported by western thinkers first time during 16th century, Varnashram is not 'caste' system.
Varnashram system was not made by man, but discoverd its scintific importance for better social management, by the Aryans.

whomever it may concern, you are saying reservation shall not be there, but no body says no more caste system in India. just blaberring and boasting of Upper caste Hindusism.

  • @ParivartanYatra

Why lectures are by great and consistent beneficeries of caste systems and not by the Victims of caste systems...???
Bramhins are bound to justify caste system by all means...
Mismatch between the facts and the content in lectures in many areas...
Such as driven by moral system...it's humbug...

I was a student in his batch. Never has he ever been casteist. On the contrary, he has time and again criticized Brahmanical domination and subjugation of the masses. In every single lecture. Don't malign someone without any context or truth.

There are no pros to caste system.. except that it let some people feel special about themselves..
It's funny that I always hear that remove reservation, but nobody says remove caste system.. If you remove the caste system, reservation will go away on its own..
