In Texas we call pastrami a waste of a good piece of brisket.

Let's not get started about Texas we call the Cowboys a waste of a good football team @@tomcat8662
I want the end pieces he threw away. That's the best part.
RIGHT!
He’s sliding that into a container out of view 👌
It's all fat

@4ilxn that's what I told my wife but she isn't buying it. I still need to lose 30 pounds. 😂
Drove from NJ (paid $15 toll) waited in line for over an hour. Received 2 pieces of bread and 4x the amount of meat needed on the sandwich. Came back out and had a $100 parking ticket. Lol I know, that’s on me
Yah worth it one time maybe. Haha. Glad you got to try it out
Sorry to hear that. NY is a dump. They screw you in every way possible.
Should had went to Mikki and AL'S in Montclair NJ. Same quality, less headache, and parking.
Welcome to new york
Man fuck New York.
I had a pastrami sandwich from Katz’s in 1983. I can still taste it. Time for another one I think.
It's not gone taste the same 😮
Bro couldn’t wait to tell him how easy it looks but isn’t💀😂
😂😂😂
Looks pretty easy, cooks out here acting like surgeons
@@drunkenactionfigureunboxin5138what he’s actually doing is easy (just slicing meat) but it’s getting it done that fast and accurate every single time that’s harder to finally nail. In the end my job comes down to just pushing buttons and pulling levers on a ride-on machine but I’m damn certain you and 99.9% of people couldn’t do it right

Indeed, and the Katz Deli here doesn't look like this. @@thatman4853
Katz’s is one of the few massively hyped up places that truly deserves it. Without a doubt the best pastrami sandwich I’ve had in my life.
Yes, you are already in nyc so $20 for a sandwich that is stacked 3 times higher than ur local one that you pay $13 for
I went there last summer and got the pastrami and honestly my local spot is just as good if not better. It seems kinda overhyped
Eh I disagree. I went a few years ago. I queued for over an hour to get in, paid $26 for an okay sandwich and got yelled at by the waiter for no reason who then still demanded a big tip.
Sure they give you a tonne of meat but the bread is basic and I’ve had better meat too.
Same here. I went there once, and granted I didn't get a pastrami sandwich but whatever I got didn't feel like it had a lot of meat on it, the bread is not great and the meat was just okay. There are so many better places to go where you can spend less money and less time and get far better food. @@iEditStuf
disagree, expensive, too much meat, cut is so thick. definitely prefer a thinner cut and corned beef w the pastrami at a classic jewish delicatessen
The secret is to buy the extra rye, pickles, and mustard to take home for 2 ton3 extra meals. 32 dollars well spent.
Wait a minute. You spent 32 bucks on a sandwich? 🥪
He paid 32 for 3 sandwiches@@WALTERBROADDUS
Katz’s in NYC and Manny’s in Chicago are both amazing!
Different style, but both phenomenal
Katz is aight. 2nd Ave deli is better IMO
Love that. Bro has pride in his work and acknowledges the skillset he has.
Bro’s making pastrami sandwiches lmao. Not creating a cure for cancer or reinventing the wheel. He got that typa confidence tho 🤣🤣
He is literally making sandwiches.
@@Jeremy-yh8lvlmfaooooo the way u shut that down is hilarious
He threw away the best part...the bark.
As someone who cuts brisket for a living, I can appreciate his saying it's not as easy as it looks, and it's a process. You could flip those slices like pages in a book.
"We might make it look easy but its not as easy as it looks" truly the words of a poet.
Edit: I feel like you guys aren't understanding that my comment is sarcastic...

Haha I really enjoyed doing that pull
My ex girlfriend’s mom happened to go to Katz’s and got a pastrami sandwich. Got on a plane and flew back to California where she gave me the sandwich. All those hours later and it was still one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
Everything like this is better when it cools down and lets the flavors blend for awhile. I prefer leftover chili, lasagna, Italian subs, etc to fresh. Maybe that’s just me.
@@craigknight4836big facts
Then y’all must have some pretty shitty food in cali, because Katz is the most overrated deli in NY. You can get a better pastrami at 10 places within a mile for half the price, and you won’t have to wait hours. People only go to Katz because it’s been there for a long time, so they assume that means it’s good. McDonald’s been around for a long time too but nobody in Theon right mind considers that good food 😂
@@PsyTheDucknah he just some white person that doesn’t know where to get good food. Or add seasonings to their food. That’s why a 3 hour cold sandwich is the best thing he’s eaten. He thinks adding salt is all the seasonings you need.
I went to Langer's out here in LA. Ate my pastrami sand on site but took my corned beef home for later. After a long drive and a long art session, the corned beef at home was better.
Spoken like a man who learned in one day
That stuff looks good. Makes me hungry.
that man is holding that knife like no other professional, so unique
Good point I didn't notice that until you pointed it out just now
Best sandwich in NYC 😢 last meal my mother and I shared. But we did it with love in our hearts and smiles on our faces! I miss her every day
Edited…
Everyone that took the time to right something negative I wish you the best and I wish I could give you a hug! Everyone that shared love you didn’t need too and I appreciate you that much more for doing so. And all of you trying to educate the ignorance. Remember to fight hate with love. MOST NYC OUT!
Damn. Stay up ❤
That's beautiful, thank you for sharing.
Stay strong, friend. Cherish the memories, and know that she's smiling down on you from above
Should’ve had a home cooked meal, maybe she would’ve lasted longer.
It's fine. Don't ride those nuts too hard
I am extremely grateful for Katz's. One of the only things I look forward to when visiting Manhattan that has NEVER let me down.
Now I know where my local wing magicians got the name for their joint
First mistake visiting manhattan
After looking at the meat I feel every word your saying 🤤
👍
I’m in NYC for 25yrs, Katz’s pastrami reuben is my annual birthday meal.
The regular tho-So Much Meat! I get 4 extra slices of bread, & side of mustard to go… 2 more pastrami sandwiches @home!
This is the way.
Why don’t you just eat the sandwich the way it is intended to be eaten instead of making the service workers’ lives harder and asking for extras like “mustard to go”? People like you at restaurants are so annoying. Just order and eat the sandwich
@@Comotellamas131 I appreciate your sentiment, but you have No idea what you’re talking about. it’s an actual NYC deli - Not a rural fast food joint. It’s works well, as for over 1/2 a century now, We’re Luvin’ It. 🗽
@@Comotellamas131 NTW, it’s strong, gourmet brown mustard. Ya have to pay extra for the little tub. Sames w/the Fresh baked rye bread. …. The amount of meat is ridiculous. ‘WAY more than most folks need in on sitting.
Google: Katz’s Deli pics. … & enjoy! 🕊️
With all due respect, STFU, if you'd ever been you'd, understand this would just be part of your order for which they are compensated. Im guessing that you are a poor put upon food service industry worker that tore a ligament getting extra bread or was it the mustsrd? @Comotellamas131
Yes True for some what you was saying I did it in 2 days back in 09 😊
Mouthwatering!!
Katz’s pastrami sandwiches do taste every bit as good as it looks! Even better when someone else bought it for me and I didn’t have to endure the long queue.😊
That’s good is terrible and terrible prices
Katz is one of those places you definitely need to try once in your life. Even if you're not huge on pastrami, it's still just to experience the history and vibe of the place. Nothing quite like it.
I used to get these every week when I went to college in Brooklyn. Would bring home one to my parents also. These are the best I ever ever had.

"Damn I'm Hungry!" And I can't unsee this!😢
Delicious absolutely delicious!! ❤
you explain the process pretty quick and easily I'll also been cooking and eating my entire life so I don't think it'd be that big of a difference
Was there the other day while on an nyc trip, I’m so glad I was hungry because everyone else at my table couldn’t finish. I devoured that thing in 5 min and felt sick the rest of the day but it was totally worth it!
Sooo funny..something i would do!!
No no no. I want this end pieces, they are glorious.
They are fantastic qmd the pickles are fantastic
