I found these spoons at Family Dollar for $1 about a month ago but held off assembling any pockets because I really wanted a pocket that would showcase the spoon. This version does just that!Thank you so much for sharing, now I can get to the fun stuff! 😊
I made both the tea and the hot chocolate packets and gave them out at our church community lunch. It was fun to do it !! Thanks for sharing the videos, you have the best ideas.
thank you for sharing! i have enjoyed this series for years and even look forward to what you have planned for next year! i did my first 2 shows this year for the first time since before i had kids and then when the boys were very little. It was so much fun. I made your tea pocket like this, but used the honey sticks instead. They were a HUGE hit! So thank you again for sharing with us.
Thank you for the new version. My craft fair is this weekend and my clear bags haven't got here. So I'm using sandwich bags. Fits perfectly. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for sharing how to make these adorable little pouches. I took your idea and jumbo sized it for some activity kits for the kids from church.
Ty Amber and your family for always sharing such Fabulous ideas I'm going to miss the craft fair ideas but so look forward to next years and will always watch all your videos!!😘
Omg! I have been looking for a new package for hot cocoa. I have always made the one you first started out with. I love this! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait for next year. I always look forward to any and all of your videos. Cindy/Carrollton
I love those peppermint spoons, but I never saw them at my local Dollartree. Not surprising, as there's only one in this small town. lol. Lovely variation on the cocoa packet!
What a super cute idea. I did mine different this year as well. I may change out my Christmas teas to this style.... thanks all off the ideas you share~
I know this was two years ago, but IF you remember, we’re those peppermint spoons individually wrapped? I just got some today at dollar tree and they’re wrapped in funky looking foil. Really ugly. I want to just unwrap them, but I don’t know if that would turn some people off. I was so excited to find them, and now I’m torn. :(
So cute. Amber I have been making these ever since I saw you and Alease do these. You girls have inspired me. I posted yesterday on my IG using those spoons in some tea packs. I am planning on putting them in my cocoa and Apple cider packs. Thanks for the inspiration. Heart Rhonda
Love this....second time I am seeing a post of yours...great and so cute...WHERE do you get the Tiny Attacher stapler? Thanks and look forward to more of your posts
Thank you for your quick reply, but the tutorial I was looking for was the Betty Crocker single serving MUG treats, hot fudge brownie mix with fudge topping. I found them at the Dollar Tree at your suggestion. If I am mistaken and it wasn't your tutorial I am so sorry! I do enjoy all your videos and appreciate how much you share with all of us. Happy Holidays and all the best in the new year.
nottydotty unfortunately the spoons are NOT good. They do not taste like peppermint at All. The truly remind me of an old medicine-y taste. I had been hearing that they were nasty so I only bought one box, went out to my car and tried it by itself (gross) and then on may way home I got a hot coco and added it to the cup and it was still gross. Hopefully next year they will be better. I’m sure the DT will have them again because they were a big seller. Just hope they get a different brand.
Love this, so cute, wish I saw it before we didi ours like last years. But have this good idea doe next year. Love it, thanks can't wait to see you recap of everything. Hope you did really well. Ps, Our Dollar tree has not has the peppermint spoons yet. Adds so much. Thanks for more great tuturials. Happy Holidays
Sally Pestana I think that is because if it is at the top, you can get the packet in easily, seal it up, and the person can open it up from the bottom without ruining the cute topper (and maybe re-use the bag??).
I don’t seal that edge, so the cute topper can stay intact and they won’t have to rip it off. They can simply open the bottom and slip out the goodies.
Do the craft fairs you sell at make you get insurance for any food items? I wanted to sell candy treats and hot cocoa sets but I was told I needed to have insurance. 😞 Its going to be my first fair and had no clue how to obtain it or spend the extra money for my first fair.
So I had a craft fair and have a lot of inventory left over 😢 but for my first time I thought I did well. What does everyone do with the perishable leftovers??
Amber, I am looking for the tutorial you did using Betty Crocker MUG TREATS. I thought I saved it to my favorites, but can't find it in your videos anywhere. Thank you.
The DT candy is normally made in China or Mexico and I don’t know where they get their flavoring. I’ve heard others say the taste is bad. I didn’t find the spoons today and I am guessing they come from China too.
Monica Bryant I did end up using a candy cane. Some canes taste better than others....try one before you buy a bunch so you can find out if it tastes like medicine.
Rosie Clark I read the same reviews. I plan to buy one box, go outside, open it, try a spoon, and if I like it, go back in and buy more as I need several boxes. Be back with my report........
Back from my first search trip to a local DT...no spoons and no red/white candy canes. Almost all the candy is made in China with some from Mexico. I hesitate to give away Chinese-made candy IMO. Even well-known brands like Coldwater Creamery came from China. And I want individually wrapped pieces. I am on a search as I cannot pay a whole lot when doing many pouches. Stay tuned...... [BTW, the similar Oriental Trading spoons (over $10/dozen) are made in China and many complained they arrived broken.]
Rosie Clark. I gave up on the hunt for the spoons after three DT trips and got the regular candy canes (12 per box) and even they were scarce. They are made in China so I hope everyone will be okay..... The store was packed with unopened cartons today so maybe one of them had the spoons. I did pick up little silver spoons and will put one into each pocket along with the cocoa. It gives it some bling.
How stinkin' adorable are these! I haven't seen those peppermint spoons at my DT but I'll definitely be on the hunt for them. Are they individually wrapped? Love the packaging. You always have the best ideas! You're amazing! Tfs! 😘
Do customers ever hesitate to buy food items at a craft fair since you don't know how long the items have been sitting around? Do you think the craft fairs have become more competitive, I was at one over the weekend with 150 vendors at a high school and there were many of the same items over and over including some of your tutorial items!
I rarely have food things left over from a craft fair, but if I do I take out the food or beverage, save the packaging, and replenish the following year. My customers trust that their goodies are fresh, be it coffee, tea, candies, or what have you.
Love this adaptation, Amber! My cocoa packets from last year's series were such a big hit! I'm going to put these and a few other things inside the mini folders you created this past summer, and give them to our Sunday school teachers for Christmas.
I bought some of the peppermint spoons last year but did not end up using them because they were not individually wrapped. My thought was that customers would not want me touching something that went into their mouth. Are the spoons individually wrapped this year?
I love this!! I can't recommend the spoons tho....they are truly nasty! They taste like Robitussin. (unless you like cough meds, then these spoons are golden.)
After seeing your comment, my husband and I just tasted one. We didn't they were bad, but not great either. Not good like peppermint. I'm still going to use them because they are cute.
Those hot cocoa treat bags are just adorable and so simple to put together! Thanks for your great inspiratutorial tutorial!❤

Love the spoons. I had so much fun making mine. I checked two dollar stores but no mint spoons. Love the plaid paper. Adorable!
I found mine at Family Dollar, still for a $1 😊
I haven’t seen the spoons either, but did find hot coco flavored candy canes by branch’s at dollar tree! I picked up 3 boxes

@@lindascraftsandthings915 just the regular size sandwich bags. Add some washi tape on top where it closes. Just to the front.

So cute and easy! I’m off to look for the candy cane spoons!

Very cute idea! FYI - I’ve heard the DT peppermint candy spoons taste like cough syrup. I hope it’s not true.
Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous ideas!
These are adorable! Thank you for all the great ideas and tutorials.
Oh my gosh, I hope I can find those spoons! My Dollar Trees never seem to have the items I see on videos lately. I hope to find them.
Love the look , especially the plaid !!!

Hi Jessikah, Thanks for the heads up, went to several DT’s and they were all sold out. Hopefully next year they’ll improve on the taste. Thanks Again.

Thank you. I'm curious why you don't cover the sealing edge with the topper paper? Thanks so much.

Have you tasted the spoons? I bought the DT candy canes once and my kids didn’t like the taste. Just wondering if the spoons are better.
The DT candy is normally made in China or Mexico and I don’t know where they get their flavoring. I’ve heard others say the taste is bad. I didn’t find the spoons today and I am guessing they come from China too.
Why not just include a candy cane?
