Wow, thanks! Honestly, you made my day! It's hard sometimes to find the time to put out these reviews considering it's not my full time job, and honestly sometimes I do wonder if anyone cares 😅 So hearing this absolutely keeps me going and I am loving the support I am getting here. Have a lovely day, and see you soon! 🙏🏼
I think when watching content they are indeed fine, in fact, they are amazing!! But on the menus and UI it does feel off. some people proper looked at the colour calibratio and found it to be way off (in the 80s in terms of % of accuracy rather than high 90s in some colour gamuts, not exactly sure which one exactly, if it's sRGB or DCI-P3, but one of those at least)
Yes that's because apple i-phones have muted colours but this is not the issue it's all about choices the vivid mode should work for those customers who want it this is what's fantastic about android customization
Upgraded from s23 ultra 1TB to the violet ultra 1TB. My phone came yesterday and my first reaction was the screen colors are muted compared to the S23. I disabled the adaptive video and I feel like it's much closer to the S23 now. It hasn't been 24 hours yet for me but I will say it's much snapper. It feels like a nice upgrade to me. I really loved the S23 so this S24 ultra is a really nice phone. I have not even touched on new features yet. The difference in screen is the change in non reflective screen. I think his is why Samsung didn't even talk about this change because there is a little bit of trade off to get the nonreflective screen but I think the benefits out weigh the changes. Thank you for the great reviews!
This phone is far from a downgrade. The opposite is very true. I would say this phone is more of an upgrade than most years. It's almost perfect. They somehow found a way to improve on the s23 ultra. The flat screen, the gen 3 chip, 5x lens, anti reflective screen, battery, ai features, probably more I can't think of off the top of my head. It's the best smarthphone out right now and it's not even up for debate. The thing is a beast.
S23U had terrible shutter lag (and many other camera problems) and it's pretty much the same camera software on S24U. Hardware is good, maybe even great, but it's useless if software is not on the same level. Phone that can't take a proper picture of moving subject in this price range...well I doubt is smart choice to buy.
I am getting sick and tired of some youtubers carrying on about the screen. The saturation level is slightly reduced because of the technology being used. It now scratches at a level 8 and you are whinging about something you will only notice if you put the 23 ultra next to it. 🤬🤦🏼♂️
OMG...I have been waiting on your review. I got mine in the mail 2 days ago and I smacked a screen protector right over it because I didn't want to damage the screen. In best buy I was looking at the display models and even when I came home and set up the whole phone...the first thing I did was a side by side comparison with my note 10+. I felt a twinge of shock because I kept looking at the screen like...where is the brightness. I thought I was going crazy. Then I remembered ahhh the anti reflective must be making it look like this! I'm still loving the new experience but it was something that sunk my heart just a bit until I was leaving work today and I noticed the lack of any glare or reflections.
Thank you so much!! Much more to come and I totally believe you, that is exactly the feeling I got when I started using mine. I want this to be the best phone ever, considering how good the S23 Ultra still is. It seems that Samsung is aware of the issue and thankfully, it seems to be software related. To be honest, like I said in this video, when watching content the screen is probably the best I've ever seen. It's amazing! and that anti-reflective glass is doing wonders during the day, really nice!
I too, have a note 10+ and am trying to decide between the s24 ultra and the pixel 8 pro. That big beautiful display on the s24 is definitely a draw, as is the anti reflective screen. This definitely gives me something to think about.
Noticed straight away that colors in UI are washed out, and in settings swapping between standard and vivid doesn't make any difference. When watching content I dont see any difference to s22u I have. Also, seen on Samsung official forum that Samsung is aware of it and working on patch. To me it doesn't make huge difference, but for a lot of people it does, so hope patch will come soon.
@@enzod.coimbra1466you should be able to choose natural or vivid though..why have a setting for vivid when it does nothing to make the screen more vivid? Makes no sense whatsoever & is unacceptable on a $1300 phone
@@Rammer_Jammer Seems fine to me, you don't see apple fans complaining on specific things lol and I use natural, color accuracy is king I do that for all oled and QD OLED monitors and TV's 💀
Yup that’s the one. So sorry I managed to sausage finger that! It was meant to go at the very end of the video, not in the random part when I am still talking 😂
I've realized over the last two days, a huge push by the huge YTbers to seriously convince you to buy the S24 Ultra. We see through them. We trust you for honest, truthful reviews and that why you're one of my favorite on YT right up alongside Flossy Carter. Thank you sir.
That's very kind of you, and I will keep working hard to bring these reviews and sharing my experience in a way that hopefully helps others with their tech 👊🏼 have a great day!
I'm trying to remember what was last Samsungs flagship that wasn't "Yeah, it's good, BUT..." right from the start. A lot of compromises every year, should not be acceptable in this price range.
Upgraded from Note20 Ultra to S24 Ultra. I also liked the old curved display better and noticed the saturation issue as soon as I started using the S24. Four days into it, and I hardly notice now as I got used to it. I only change phones every four years, as for me, I see any big advancements in phones happen in 4-5 years. Note20 Ultra was rock solid, and the battery started draining fast, even though it was a new one. That was my only issue, which made me change to S24. I could have pushed for one more year, but hey, got a good exchange price and changed it. I hope Samsung is not pushing updates to older top-end models to make people switch to new ones like Apple did. I felt like that because it was a new battery, and it was like giving me 6-7 hrs tops. S24 Ultra is a powerhouse! Still figuring out the AI stuff, but a great phone regardless! As always great review , Alex!
Thank you Vishy! Wow, that's an upgrade and a half!! I think once these little issues are ironed out this will be again the phone of the year. Everything feels amazing on it, only minor snags really.
I tested this device the last two days , I had pre-ordered it at Samsung Germany. The real big problem for me is the display, the colour grading, the dimming and some kind of flickering when in the dark mode - it really hurt my eyes . I tried several times to adjust it, but that might be something wrong in the software, that's why I return it today.
Thank you Alex. Great as always. My only complaint is the dull display colors. I’ve posted a picture of the 24+ and the 24 Ultra under your Twitter post, both look the same . It seems to be a software problem, let’s hope Samsung fix this soon.
I enjoyed your honest take on this and not playing to the 'narrative' like a lot do. And equally good that you based a lot if these points on what your subscribers wanted to know on. My main thought or what I took away from this was if you have an S23u I would not definitely not upgrade. I think the AI is interesting but for me thats where it is still but not a must have or need ti have service and i would certainly not subscribe to that in the near future. Camera seems meh its all the same old etc but i did feel the colour depth did wash out considerably IMO and seemed too or over contrasted, granted i am watching this on a UA-cam upload so I accept it could look better. Great feedback Alex and very enjoyable and easy to understand and take away a lot of interesting after thiughts 👍
Thank you so much, Lee. It really means a lot! Always like to focus on what's important to the people who watch my videos rather than just taking it out of the box and 'babbling on' about how beautiful Titanium is 😂 have a lovely day
Hi Alex 👋 great video as always. I am still rocking my s 23ultra, and it's very great. I haven't even explored all the features, so I will hang on to this phone for the next year or two. I do love the s 24 ultra, and its refinement may be when I ready to upgrade, will get me a s 24 ultra. When last have you visited southamerica?
Thank you so much!! That really means a lot. Not even kidding, I wasn't feeling great this morning and this comment made my day! Have a great one and hope to see you here soon!
I hate that other youtubers are really promoting this s24 ultra which is very very similar to s23 ultra. Biggest difference is the flat screen but flat screen isnt anything new and its just a personal preference. Also this AI stuff is way over hyped because we can already screen search on the S23 Ultra in a very similar way. MKBHD really sold out to samsung. I appreciate this honest review
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! Don't get me wrong this is an incredible device but I feel like some of these issues, however tiny, need to be reported. I want this to be a great phone, I love what Samsung is doing recently, but I can't hide issues 🥰 thanks once again for the comment and have a great week ahead!
Great video Alex. After switching to the ZFold 5 from the S23 Ultra I am very happy to get back to a slab phone in the S24 Ultra. I missed the integrated S Pen and the smaller outer display was what I used the most and it was very frustrating. I think the only thing that the ZFold is better at is the audio. The bigger inner screen was nice and it's going to take some time to get adjusted to this phone. I'm looking forward to getting out and taking some pictures and videos with it.
Bro you're a UA-cam reviewer, the Anti Reflection coating is the same thing on the Samsung frame Tvs the anti reflection coating dims the screen, you're to nit picking.
Not happy with device Came with pre released build, poor battery life, color processing of 50mp and 200mp is below average I bought the device because of the hype was created by youtubers that s23u battery is on another level 😵💫. In reality, it's no way near
I tested this device the last two days , I had pre-ordered it at Samsung Germany. I tried several times to adjust it, but that might be something wrong in the software, that's why I return it today
I use natural colour mode, so I imagine that may be even more washed out as well. Anti reflection is important, but I'm not sure if it's worth the trade-off. I need to see it in person, but either way, I'm happy with my s23 ultra as I should be. I hate how youtubers have overhyped this same phone as last year. Flat screen is the only noticeable difference and that comes down to personal preference and flat screen shouldn't be praised as much as it is because the S6 had a flat screen. AI marketing is laughable as I can already Google search my screen by cropping in on my screen with Google version not sure what Google calls it. S24 Ultra is amazing as it's just a slightly better more refined s23 ultra but that's about it which is better than nothing
The flat screen for me seens to be the only realistic upgrade that i would want on my S23 Ultra. Everything else is minimal incremental. As ever, an excellent informative upload Alex.
I am honestly hoping they can fix it with update. My theory right now is that the UI colours are calibrated with previous models in mind. The new display is definitely changing how colours are seen so I am hoping they can update the calibration of colours, especially for the UI. For content, I am finding it excellent though. In the clips I shared here, I am still amazed at how bright it can get and hoe vibrant the colours are. Same with photos, videos taken on the device itself, it all looks amazing! It’s mostly the UI for me…
Alex, I always appreciate your honest opinion! Outstanding video, thank you for the side-by-side comparisons. I like that writing assist feature and sound quality. I thought the audio was very good even without the pro quality mics. You mentioned listening through earbuds what earbuds are you liking these days? I've been looking to get a set. Thanks again for quality well thought through and produced video.💯👊
Glad you enjoyed it Don and I agree, the audio is incredible even without proper mics! I have two pairs of earbuds, one from Soundcore and one from Apple. I like the Soundcore if I am doing something like going for a walk / exercising, but prefer the AirPods Pro (the most recent one) if I am jus tat my desk or at home. Mainly because they fall off very easily for me, despite the different eartips. Audio quality the AirPods Pros are extremely hard to beat unless you spend a bit more
I really love this channel and im loving it more each and every video i Watch . Mr Alex please advise me im a theologian who studies and researches alot , do i go for the 24 ultra or z fold 5
Thank you so much for the kind words! It's a tough one as I love both devices! It's almost like choosing a 'favourite child'. Extremely hard. I would say for reading and researching the Fold will provide a better experience, like a mini-tablet. Although the new features of the S24 Ultra will also help you by summarising text, like giving you bullet points of important aspects of a document, as well as having that circle to search feature which may help if you want to find out more about a symbol or a picture you see in your research. Tough one, but right now I am leaning towards the S24U!
Be aware❗ Don't Buy S24 why?, the main feature of S24 is Ai ofcours, but it is only supported till 2025! after which you got to pay yet another subscription besides hefty price tag! Apart from Constant Samsung notifications which drives you crazy, your data constantly transmitting even if the device turned off!
THANK YOU!! I am so glad I am not alone 😅 Watching some of the reviews after I recorded mine I thought I was going mad! I was like... Why are those massive channels not mentioning this 🤔
Thank you for talking about the issue, you might be the first one addressing this issue, which is absolutely an issue. I'm waiting a couple of days, if no fix I will return my S24 Ultra and stick to my S23. The colours difference is day and night and it is really annoying.
Alex, I agree with you on the colors being muted. However, I do like it. A little less punchy is fine. Samsung is still best in the business with screens. I love the flat screen. Finally. I think the cameras are going to get better with a future update. Samsung, I think it's finally listening to its users.
Thank you, that's quite an interesting and well-balanced review. I upgraded from the S23U and I am quite happy so far. I think I agree with almost all of the mentioned things. And I am curious about the mini-rant. 😅
Sorry about that Alex, yes I noticed that after the upload 😔 I was up till 6AM editing and made a couple of mistakes in the edit. I will make it up to you 🥰
Hello my friend. Ive seen many of your videos and I love the honesty. My question to you is, did they fix the shutter lag? I take pictures of my sons and the shutter lag on the 23 was horrible and always gave me a blurry picture.
The lag is definitely gone in 'regular'photos. I do still see a sligth delay in 50MP and 200MP but considering what we are asking the phone to do, the slight 'half a second' or whatever it is, may be acceptable. I need to do more test on this though 👊🏼
@@AlexGTech I’ll take your word on it. You’re one of their few tech reviewers that I truly enjoy watching in honest reviews. I’ve been wanting to switch back to android but like I mentioned earlier, my sons would move SLIGHTLY and they would just come out blurry. And honestly, having memories of my sons is very important to me.
I received my s24 ultra yesterday and the anti reflection coating dramatically reduces the vibrance of the colors on the screen. I thought it was settings related but it 100% not. I went onto the Samsung forums and apparently everyone is dealing with this issue. This is not the case with S24+ and S24. Even side by side with me S10+ (Yes S10+), the colors looks way more washed out and muted on the s24 ultra with both phones at peak brightness.
Wow! See, I am glad I am hearing this and that I am not dreaming, but at the same time I hope Samsung finds a way to sort it out. It’s mostly on the UI elements that I notice this, not so much on content/photos/etc.
I'm getting the titanium yellow one sometime in the next couple days and I'm pretty excited to compare it to my S22U and OnePlus Open. As far as the color vibracy I'm assuming that's the trade off for the anti refkective screen. It's kind of the same on the inside screen on my Open. And honestly I don't mind taking a slight hit to the vibrancy in return for better visibility in harsh light.
The reason a lot of users are unhappy about the color profiles is because they are used to the puncheir vibrant colors in their old Samsung. Anybody who is switching from another brand(lets say iphone) wont even notice the washed out color because although it looks washed out, it is evidently the natural color profile. See there can be different opinions on this for different people, but it doesn't take away for a fact that there are thousands of users flooding reddit and samsung forums because they are clearly not happy with the washed out color profile. It is not just slightly toned down, its a massive difference for someone who is used to seeing the vibrant colors. The very thing that made a samsung display a samsung display, is the vibrant and punchier vivid color profile, and with that being stripped away, I wont even be surprised if a lot of the OG fans return the device. The bottomline? Samsung needs to fix Vivid mode asap before they lose a lot of their sales. Having options is never a bad thing. Le the users decide whether they want to choose natural or vivid mode Sammy. Do better.
Rumor mill says the screen issue is a software issue and a fix is being implemented. It may or may not be in the day 1 patch that is supposed to be coming on official launch day.
Tried that... made a tiny bit of difference. I think Samsung need to put out a statement and say they are aware and working on it. It's clearly an issue
@@AlexGTech Check, thank you for your response king! Then we know that too hahah. I'm still waiting for my S24U. Stock issues atm hopefully it will come this week. And I saw that solution from UA-cam 😄
Hope you enjoyed it and more to come for sure! I think I will probably sell my Pixel 8 Pro as that is now almost redundant, so perhaps I will buy the S24 and S24+ with the money I get back... thanks for waiting, I appreciate I am not the quickest with reviews, but hope it was worth it 🙏🏼
Of course we should all now know that Samsung fixed the muted colours with an update since this video was uploaded. So pretty much the perfect screen now!
I Love your videos I am now ready to go back to Andrioid. I am thinking either S24, Pixel, or the Sony Experia. So hard to make the choice. I love Samsung and aways had one am I better off getting one of the others
Always enjoy your reviews, probably because you're not being sponsored and seem to really enjoy the Tech! I thanks for the review and all the work that went into it!!
My pleasure! Thanks so much! absolutely. Don’t get me wrong, I would LOVE for these brands to send me gear for free and ahead of pre-order so I can produce reviews, but I would struggle if I couldn’t criticise them and be honest about what I am seeing/experiencing. Have a lovely rest of the weekend!
Lack of innovation is contagious, Samsung is following Apple iPhone footsteps of sticking to same form factor. My next smartphone will be one plus 12 for sure
I dont understand who the fk started the antiglare bullshit trend, i always liked the pure reflection on mobiles and also on tv, it gave more pure blacks than the surface with antiglare coating, Bad news i thought this is only for tv now it started on mobile phones as well, not a bright future ahead for displays..
Thanks so much Mary!! Yes, Samsung always delivering on beautiful tech! A couple of things to iron out for me, but I think it’s gonna be an awesome smartphone again! have a great rest of the weekend!
Probably too early to tell but my gut feel is that this is not a great deal, considering you’re getting so little for the S23U… I’m not sure you will see the value. The S23U is still such a good device… unless you really need some of these new features, I’d say it’s not worth it in this scenario
It’s got me debating on canceling my pre-order. I’m coming from iPhone and that was the one thing I didn’t like about iPhone was the muted colors. I was looking forward to Samsung’s vibrant colors.
I'd say give it a go on store if you are able to. It's the best display I've ever used, honestly. But the UI colours are off. The more I use it for watching content, looking at pictures, etc, the more I realise this is a bug on the UI colours.
here you go: ua-cam.com/video/Ojo6VCbwe-k/v-deo.html Thank you for watching and supporting me 🥰 don't get me wrong, this is one hell of a device and probably will win phone of the year for me, but I don't like to hide issues 😉
In the 18.24 time, the display looks gorgeous in S24 ultra. More balanced and natural compared to yellowish oversaturated S23 ultra. Vibrance is not reduced, but the saturation is, it seems.
Hey Andy, it's from Harber London. I reviewed it here if you want to check it out in more detail: ua-cam.com/video/NWkFzEI2ssE/v-deo.html the video was for the iPhone but I've been using it with the Fold and the PIxel too, great little sleeve!
I like it that we can go in and tweak it though, I don’t think we can have that level of colour control on iPhones for instance. But I agree, the colours seem a bit off right now, especially in the UI part
@@DaMomento really? coz I am also having the same battery life issue, does it actually get better? also approx how many days does it take to learn my usage patterns?
I think Samsung can EASILY crank up the saturation in a software update. It's not really that complicated, and I'm sure Samsung can hear the rumbling about it.
I am hoping that too! I hear they are already aware. I have no evidence of that, but like you said, it's hard to ignore (unless you have millions of subscribers and you don't want to upset the brand 😅)
9:48 Would you see this scratch if it was titanium grey? I'm getting the S24 Ultra next month and was going to go with black but after seeing this it's putting me off now.
@@AlexGTech That's ashame 🥺 I ordered the titanium black after seeing this video I'm slapping a case on it straight away maybe a dbrand skin for the back will hide it? Just a suggestion.
I bought the S24 Ultra and I'm super happy. I've always used iPhone all my life and decided to trade now! it's been an amazing experience. Let's see with time 🎉📱
I am definitely happy with it overall, but I am a little worried about this display colour. Hoping it’s just a UI calibration thing, and that it can be adjusted via software
I'm not bothered by the colors. Samsung is more shifting towards Apple. Less saturated colors. Photos have a bit more contrast, a bit warmer and a bit brighter areas or less HDR like iphone 15 pro.
first honest review i asked also my family if im going crazy about the saturation and they confirmed me yes clours super muted.if only they added some saturation i wille keep it beacause the desing is just woow.thank you very much
Great to hear you enjoyed it and it’s my pleasure. I do think it’s my job to share my experience as accurately as possible, even if that is not what the brand may want to hear. I am an optimist though and I hope some of the issues I found are just early days issues and can be fixed… And I agree with you, this is a classy and extremely capable phone!
Selfie cam is not my favourite but the actual posting and browsing experience is awesome so far! Especially when commenting and using AI Write assist👌🏼
So I have this 24ultra .. I take product pics for IG.. The thing I don't like about this phone is the over processing in the pics it does after you take a pic.. When you start with a beautiful shot then it comes in and destroys the shot ..by it's self processing.. What are your thoughts and any advise ? I'm shooting under studio lighting...it's not looking good 😐
Could you do a camera comparison with the iPhone 15 pro please! Also; could you share what apps you use for tasks and note taking? Apple notes is what’s keeping me from switching right now…
Sure, that is my next video! And the apps I use for notes are Google Keep (for quick notes, nothing crazy, but something I can access regardless of the device I am using), I then use Evernote for more formal notes that I need to remember in future. And I use Ulysses (sadly only works on Apple stuff) for writing my scripts and blog articles.
I was wondering the same thing. I was editing all night, and finished at 7AM so I think it was just my sausage fingers 😂 Sorry about that, it sounded very weird and out of place!
It's a software problem Samsung have replied to me saying their aware of the problem and it's not the screen but a software issue, Samsung are issuing a software update this week to solve the problem also when watching UA-cam 4k hdr videos the S24 ultra display is slightly duller the highlights are less bright than on the S21 ultra and anyway it's a muted point as most owners will put a screen protector on it
I love that it's not vibrant coz it's not natural. When I set my display I don't choose vibrant coz it's not natural I'm glad it's default here, it's better for editing.
The colors appear muted, because their more natural, weve had oversaturated colors promoted as normal for so long that i brains dont see it as unnatural. Just an opinion.
What is your exact problem with display colors? Why weren't you more honest about opinion? Do you like more saturated colors or do you like less saturation?
I don’t think I could have been more honest about the colours… They are muted like I said, especially in the UI elements. When watching content or playing games, browsing web/socials the display is actually amazing.
@@AlexGTech no, you aren't clear about your opinion, you kinda sounded like I'm gonna leave it for people to decide whether it's a good thing or bad thing, I don't really get what you're trying to say there... If it's just UI elements and looks good on other it's mostly a software related so that doesn't count as a negative, it kinda looked like you're considering that as a downgrade atleast that's what I noticed on your tone. Also this year's display tech is different check into that and next time be more articulate.
Upgraded from s23u to s24u and don't regret it for a second. Of course people will be unhappy and nag about certain things, but hey, they got to earn for a living.

To me it doesn't make huge difference, but for a lot of people it does, so hope patch will come soon.
Thank you, that's good to hear they are working on it! Hope it's fixable as everything else on the device is incredible 👊🏼
Honestly I prefer the more natural and accurate colours of the S24U. Before it was so oversaturated
@@enzod.coimbra1466you should be able to choose natural or vivid though..why have a setting for vivid when it does nothing to make the screen more vivid? Makes no sense whatsoever & is unacceptable on a $1300 phone

@@AlexGTech you're definitely most welcomed Alex. A great day to you and yours as well.
I dont know why all say Samsung has the best Displays. Yes they are good no doubt. But BOE Displays are better at the moment
@sviraci says you, but nobody agrees with dat.
@@hamiltonfungula63 thats ok
How you return it if you buy it from Samsung Germany my friend?
Sorry to hear that, I am hopeful some of these issues can be fixed.
Thank you Alex. Great as always. My only complaint is the dull display colors. I’ve posted a picture of the 24+ and the 24 Ultra under your Twitter post, both look the same . It seems to be a software problem, let’s hope Samsung fix this soon.
Thank you, me too! Hoping it’s just a software thing like a colour calibration issue
BEST Tech/Reviewer on UA-cam. Why was time on anyone else. Awesome job Alex!
Oh thank you so much ❤️ 💓 💗
I enjoyed your honest take on this and not playing to the 'narrative' like a lot do.
Love your videos brother!!! I am born and raised in the United States and I look for your content typically more often than others.
Thank you so much!! That really means a lot. Not even kidding, I wasn't feeling great this morning and this comment made my day! Have a great one and hope to see you here soon!
@@AlexGTech no problem brother and I’m looking forward to the next video you release. Hope you and your family have a great day and night.
Source?
Not happy with device
Came with pre released build, poor battery life, color processing of 50mp and 200mp is below average
I bought the device because of the hype was created by youtubers that s23u battery is on another level 😵💫.
In reality, it's no way near
Also mate this time only 1080p video? Also noticing that color grading is quite off 😅..
Is it on purpose?
I tested this device the last two days , I had pre-ordered it at Samsung Germany. The real big problem for me is the display, the colour grading, the dimming and some kind of flickering when in the dark mode - it really hurt my eyes .

Pov: every phone at first month of launch
So the most common complaint of the 23 ultra is over saturated colour now the range is not saturated enough.... Go figure
I always loved the oversaturation tbh. Even in my computer display I slightly oversaturate the display settings. .
The flat screen for me seens to be the only realistic upgrade that i would want on my S23 Ultra.
Everything else is minimal incremental.
As ever, an excellent informative upload Alex.
Nice video. Can the colors get fixed with a software update or it cannot due to the new anti reflective screen?
I am honestly hoping they can fix it with update. My theory right now is that the UI colours are calibrated with previous models in mind. The new display is definitely changing how colours are seen so I am hoping they can update the calibration of colours, especially for the UI. For content, I am finding it excellent though. In the clips I shared here, I am still amazed at how bright it can get and hoe vibrant the colours are. Same with photos, videos taken on the device itself, it all looks amazing! It’s mostly the UI for me…
Can we appreciate the effort of the video editing skills... amazing job.
Bro, you're absolutely RIGHT about the screen. Anybody with eyes can see the washed out effect, almkst to the point of being borderline blurry.
THANK YOU!! I am so glad I am not alone 😅 Watching some of the reviews after I recorded mine I thought I was going mad! I was like... Why are those massive channels not mentioning this 🤔
The way you are explaining is heart soothing and for that i have subscribed you bro keep going we'll support you

Well, this is a really nice phone, but this is not worth upgrading from the s23ultra. I want a foldable phone a fold 6 maybe.
Thank you for talking about the issue, you might be the first one addressing this issue, which is absolutely an issue. I'm waiting a couple of days, if no fix I will return my S24 Ultra and stick to my S23. The colours difference is day and night and it is really annoying.
Alex,
I agree with you on the colors being muted. However, I do like it. A little less punchy is fine. Samsung is still best in the business with screens. I love the flat screen. Finally. I think the cameras are going to get better with a future update. Samsung, I think it's finally listening to its users.
Continue your honest reviews. People are looking for honest influencer nowadays.
Thank you, that's quite an interesting and well-balanced review. I upgraded from the S23U and I am quite happy so far. I think I agree with almost all of the mentioned things.
And I am curious about the mini-rant. 😅
About 11 minutes in the audio goes really loud and covers what you’re saying! Just thought I’d let you know! Great video as always
Sorry about that Alex, yes I noticed that after the upload 😔 I was up till 6AM editing and made a couple of mistakes in the edit. I will make it up to you 🥰
@@AlexGTech haha I wasn’t complaining! Just doing some proof reading for you 😝
Hello my friend.
That is what I am hearing too! fingers crossed!

bro, upload the 2160p video to the youtube🤦♂️
Thank you! Yes, my bad 😭 I was editing all night till 7AM the next day and exported with the wrong settings 🙈
For the screen color fix you must turn off the Eye comfort shield option. Then you have powerful color screen again!

Thnak you for your review, bro. What about the haptic feedback compared to the s23 ultra?
It's slightly more refined. Even when you swipe to open the navigation bar from the side, the haptics feel a tiny bit more refined. It's nice!

@AlexGTech Hello AlexGTech team,
yes the issue is identified, along with the camera optimization and other bug fixes update is coming soon
Lack of innovation is contagious, Samsung is following Apple iPhone footsteps of sticking to same form factor.
My next smartphone will be one plus 12 for sure
I am not sure I’d put Samsung in the lack of innovation corner, but I would agree that the minimal look design is becoming a bit tired now.
Great video with fab content I really love the look of the S24 ultra especially with the flat sides I love it . Agin some great content 👍😎

Loving my S24U, coming from Fold4 :)
Amazing!! Do you miss the bigger inner display at all?
would you consider worth an upgrade from the s23 ultra (256gb) to the s24 ultra of 512gb for (3000BRL... around 600usd) ?

And coming from an iPhone myself… I think you will love the experience, I don’t see myself going back to the iPhone for a while!
i just randomly hear a song in the background 10:59 😂
Yeah, I'm sorry about that 😆
Samsung released a statement about the colors on the screen. It was done deliberately to relfect more teue tones, vs over processed vibrancy.
What launcher is that ? Want it to not have the home , back and menu button all the time and like to swipe up to go back to the home screen
I am using Good Lock and and the icon is Gladient
But to remove the home, back menu buttons, you can remove that in settings, under swipe gestures.
I'm not bothered by the colors. Samsung is more shifting towards Apple. Less saturated colors. Photos have a bit more contrast, a bit warmer and a bit brighter areas or less HDR like iphone 15 pro.
What's much worse then the colors is the viewing angles. Just a little off angle already shifts everything to blueish. I'll send back my device.
Mini rant. Great video and the music in the middle scared the s**t out of me 😂.
Haha yeah sorry about that! I see you found the mini rant video 👊🏼 have a good one!

Could you plz advise about social media quality?
Selfie cam is not my favourite but the actual posting and browsing experience is awesome so far! Especially when commenting and using AI Write assist👌🏼
So I have this 24ultra ..
I take product pics for IG..
The thing I don't like about this phone is the over processing in the pics it does after you take a pic..
When you start with a beautiful shot then it comes in and destroys the shot ..by it's self processing..
What are your thoughts and any advise ?
I'm shooting under studio lighting...it's not looking good 😐
13:20 The video jitters is not just with your device. My 24Ultra doing is the same. Guess software update will solve that
Could you do a camera comparison with the iPhone 15 pro please!
And I use Ulysses (sadly only works on Apple stuff) for writing my scripts and blog articles.

the vibrancy is a software glitch. When you switch between the photo and vivid mode nothing changes. Implying its a bug.

Thank you so much 😊 On to the next one 🙏🏼
It's a software problem Samsung have replied to me saying their aware of the problem and it's not the screen but a software issue, Samsung are issuing a software update this week to solve the problem also when watching UA-cam 4k hdr videos the S24 ultra display is slightly duller the highlights are less bright than on the S21 ultra and anyway it's a muted point as most owners will put a screen protector on it
I love that it's not vibrant coz it's not natural. When I set my display I don't choose vibrant coz it's not natural I'm glad it's default here, it's better for editing.
I thought I was wrong, my xiaomi was so beautiful with colours and after I changed for S24 ultra, I felt disappointed about that
In a way I am glad I am not alone, but at the same time I hope this is something that can be improved! Have a good one 🥰
The colors appear muted, because their more natural, weve had oversaturated colors promoted as normal for so long that i brains dont see it as unnatural.
Just an opinion.
Great video alex, I'm too creating a first contact video with my s24 ultra
I just wish Samsung would have a setting on the camera that says Natural or vibrant like xiaomi.
Upgraded from s23u to s24u and don't regret it for a second. Of course people will be unhappy and nag about certain things, but hey, they got to earn for a living.
