US Military Disgraced its Elite Soldier for Killing a Fellow Soldier But They Underestimated Him

A US Army colonel mistakenly destroyed one of his own tanks during a chaotic nighttime battle, taking out his friend’s life. The U.S. Army covers up the incident, awards colonel a medal for bravery, and reassigns him to a desk job. Later, the colonel was tasked with determining if a certain captain should be posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. The captain commanded a Medevac Huey helicopter sent to rescue a downed Black Hawk crew. Her crew destroyed an enemy tank using an improvised weapon but was taken down soon after. The survivors were rescued the next day, with the captain’s life taken out. As the colonel investigated, he found inconsistencies in the testimonies of the captain's crew. One praised the captain, while the other claimed she was a coward. Another mentioned a fire. Another, the co-pilot, was unconscious throughout the ordeal. Under pressure to conclude the investigation, Colonel leaked information about the incident to a reporter. He then eventually learned that one of the crew members had shöΔt Walden during a standoff, falsely reported her being unalive, and left her behind.
The colonel submitted his report, leading to Captain's daughter receiving the Medal of Honor. He later confesses the truth about his friend’s deöath to his family, who forgave him. The story ends.
