Cash a Check at your Next Bass Tournament - CA, Delta Pre-Fishing Tactics

I could have made two delta fishing videos but honestly they would have been pretty boring seeing as how we didn't catch much, so instead I want to take you through my thought process on pre-fishing for any tournament on the delta. What I do to improve my chances of cashing a check.

Great content! I appreciate hearing your approach. One tip I have for EVERYONE is if you see seals in the spawning areas get in your motor and chase them out. You know your doing the job once they get air borne and fleeing for there lives. If EVERYONE did this they would stick to the main channel. Believe me it works.

Great video as always, Nick! Really enjoyed it, very helpful. I definitely have trouble with my pre fishing tactics. I feel i never cover enough water. I tend to get too sucked into an area that I think is good, and if they are not biting i experiment with too many different baits trying to figure them out instead of packing it up and looking for somewhere new.

I’m new to the channel and down from far Northern California to the Delta to fish with my little brother. Like many people have said, it was very slow at low tide. When the tide changed we had some quick action fishing where the high tide was causing a bit of current. We saw some bigger fish in shallow water but couldn’t get them to bite. We caught nothing much over 2 lbs.
