I love that cover of The Dream Master that you have, I have the one you put on the screen. I recently picked up an SF Masterworks copy of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, looking forward to it. I also own Three Stigmata but haven't read it yet. Great list, great video.
For a long time 'A Wizard of Earthsea' was my fave, then 'Tehanu' stole the crown for a few years, but rereading 'Tombs' recently had me questioning my loyalty. It really is a series you can revisit and appreciate over and over again.
I think your recommendations are great! It looks like we have similar tastes, and what makes your list so good for me is that I haven't read most of the books that are on the list, but all from authors that I love. Thanks for this! You've just added to a great start to my 2025 reading TBR.
Dick AND Zelazny combined on a novel?!?! I HAVE to find that book! Great stuff Liminal! And bold move taking Electric Sheep over Blade Runner ~ I approve!
Great list with some unexpected delights. Hard boiled Wonderland is my favorite Murakami and Three Stigmata is one of my favorite PKDs (alongside Ubik).
Need to read Shirley Jackson and Haruki Murakami. Thanks for introducing me to those writers and their books. (May have read a Jackson story if she wrote "The Lottery".)
Hi Chris. It just so happens that I’m reading 3 Stigmata now (just started it) so I’m glad to see it so high up on your list! I absolutely agree that Do Android is better than Blade Runner; my other favorite PKD’s are A Maze of Death and of course Ubik! Dream Master is on my tbr radar and I’ll be adding Hard-Boiled… to the list. 🙌 fabulous top 10
... and my to-read list is stretched out a bit more... Good video, thank you. :) Actually, I did stop after Annihilation. Really loved that book, but never went further. No regrets.
I need to re-read stigmata some day! As a massive pkd lover even i had a hard time understanding what the hell was going on in that one. And this is coming from someone who adored valis.
Preferred Annihilation the movie to the book but to be fair I DNF the book because of the writing. Maybe I’ll try again with an audiobook even though I’m not a fan of that format.
As someone who saw the film before i read the book I also prefer the film for how laser focused it feels compared to the source material. Has to be one of my all-time fav films so was a little thrown off by how different the book was. I also suspect I'm not a fan of vandermeer's prose.
I need to keep my eyes open for some Mary Stewart from now on. Love me some Arthurian legend.

Great list Chris! Very sincere and emotive as well. You've really been putting a lot of work in.
This is definitely a list worth going through!

Great top ten Chris! Amazing first year! You're the coolest. Thanks for all of your hard work!

About to start "we have always lived in the castle" per your recommendation
Can't wait to hear about your 2025 reads!
New Sub. Excellent vid. I am inspired to go back to PKD. I found him difficult.
Great list, and great reading year Chris!

Amazing Top 10 video makes me want to read more PKD as he's fallen off on my TBR

Truly great video. I only read Do Androids Dream out of the 10. I think Blade Runner is absolutely perfect AND I think the book is better 🙂

Did you ever watch Blade Runner 2049? I wondered what you thought about it.
