I love the raw honesty of your videos, first person, see it almost as you do, no over dramatisism, it actually inspired me to change the format of my videos as you may have noticed with my latest explore videos, although I do talk about what I'm seeing, I love to just kick back and watch the pure explore nature of yours.
Big 'thumbs up' from me, mate and I'm surprised there isn't a huge long-term accumulation of natural and man-made debris as there usually is at the bottom of shafts that are open to the surface.
There was a dead pig down there once is a small drive opposite where we went into the mine. Can't access it now due to the dirt & leaves that have fallen over the past couple years.
I so wish I could do srt as much as you do, but hardly anybody here knows how to rig :( Wow, rectangle shaft, don't see those around here. Some sections very smooth, almost cave like. Mines in Cornwall more squeezy than North Pennine mines. Imagine working in there all your live, must have been horrendous, especially with the superstisions of the people at that time. Can I ask what camera do you use, looking to upgrade mine once I've saved up in the next year? Are they Poundland gloves I spy? Just got very similar looking ones from there for exploring lol
Because they were cut by hand tools, hammers, drillbit and picks. The very minimum needed to get to the ore, they never had the luxury of powered tools back then.

Crowded, interesting and lovely, lot of crawling just as it should be down in a old mine. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
That was an impressive trip. Thanks for the upload sir.
You're welcome, I have done this trip a few times, took someone new to ropes down there for a bit of practise.

I know many shafts/mines in the mid Cornwall area. I have located a lot.
Why are the old mines ao small and tight?
Because they were cut by hand tools, hammers, drillbit and picks. The very minimum needed to get to the ore, they never had the luxury of powered tools back then.
Plus not many fat arse buggers around back then.
I would always be worried about getting the right way out!!
