Just reached 100k! Couldn’t have done it without your insights
Congrats on 100k Stefan!
Wow! Congratulations.
Congratulations!
Let's Collab!
Congrats
Hey Derral, this is exactly what I am doing right now. I’ve heard people say “stop wasting your time watching other UA-camrs and create more of your own” but I have realised that I can learn so much from watching the bigger channels :) Thanks for your advice Derral!
Ryo Watanabe Tanks yes it is..
Just don't spend too much time!
Derral Eves Yes, we’ve got to prioritise what we do! Thank you
Or watch videos at double speed for double gainz!
I rarely watch only. I listen or split my screen WHILE I DO WORK. I even watch while I edit or render sometimes.
Solid info as always Derral! Good to have you back!!!
Roberto in the house!
Roberto it is always a breath of fresh air to see your comments and encouragement on other youtubers’ videos. You are such a humble educator
Roberto Blake great to see you in the comments Roberto.
Thanks to Roberto I got an online job. Thanks pal
So hyped for your next videos, Derral! Thanks for all the amazing value! I would also love a video going deeper on how to use Reddit to grow your YT channel.
Really looking forward to this series! Thanks for keeping us in the loop. 😀
Thanks Derral happy to hear you after a long time
Fantastic training Derral! It was SUPER helpful seeing you in Austin earlier this month and I am SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU!!
Great video Derral. VidIQ looks amazing!
Super useful video! Loved learning more about Vid IQ. Thanks so much for your amazing content.
Im happy that I found you, man! I love your content! Please don’t change that spirit!!
Thanks for all the great tips! Looking forward to this series. We are about 2 months into this with our channel and have so much to learn.
Thanks for your help, great video.
Thank you for sharing! I always learn something when I watch your show.
Thanks!
What new did you learn in the video Torrens Family?
How brilliant was that Shannon! 🤗💗
Well I learned that vid IQ exists and I need it! Derral is the channel that turned me to tube buddy when I first started too. What I can't wait to see is which one of my videos is converting people to subscribe.
It makes so much sense! Thank you for this series! It will be awesome!
Wouldn't it be wonderful to do as well as Derral and the channel he highlighted. Clocking tens of thousands of subscribers monthly, as well as clinching millions of views on a video, is something we all aspire to. The bit about the tags is interesting also. The information has to state exactly what the video is all about. Great stuff!
Thanks, Derral. Starting to grow with your techniques. It's amazing. :)
Hello Lindy 👋….How are you doing?
Thank you so much for this series. I am new at UA-cam and need any and all tips. Love VIDIQ. Just discovered it from you this week and helps a lot.
Hello 👋….How are you doing?
we need a video to teach how to use the description section etc
Thats coming... remember this is the series of videos
Yup, our tool can help you do that too through the video upload page... I'm sure Derral will tell you all about it further on in the series :)
How heavy is the download side on the back end? meaning is it heavy on the memory and CPU /Bandwidth etc. The reason I am asking is because of Live streaming and broadcasting. How hard is it on your resources Does it run continuously in the background
Yes - this is the stuff that makes Derral the professor of UA-cam. Getting my PhD in UA-cam. I love VidIQ and TubeBudd especially before making a video - researching a topic and optimizing tags, titles and descriptions. Love the nuggets you give in the videos too. Will be digging deeper into the browser SEO tools.
I watch and study the channels in my niche and other niches because you can learn from all channel types. Sometimes watching the ones with 100K subs is better than the million subs Nimmin and McKinnon are perfect examples. Watch who is growing fast and learn from them, but put your own twist on it. A lot of channels that were made earlier (5+years ago) are coasting. Watch the people that grow fast and study what they do.
Hey Sten! *High Five*
Hey Rob! High Five. Love your product and recommend vidIQ to everyone.
You're BACK! First time hearing of VidIQ, you're like an genius when it comes to this. I still feel like there's so much more you wanted to say.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for this content. It’s really helping us in the early stages of our channel. Katie and Ryan
I am so excited for this series (and definitely have the notification bell on!). It's encouraging to hear the advice to watch other creators. That's what I've been doing since starting off, making it a goal to watch at least ten other vlogs a day and figure out what I like, what works, and also watch channels like this one with advice for creators. Thanks again Derral for all that you do and all your videos.
Congratulations on 100 subs! Which did you think was the most useful tip/tool?
Thank you so much! For me so far (and I know I'm still super new and learning) for ideas on how to vlog, I think that watching tons of content and just soaking everything up was the biggest and most helpful thing that I'm still trying to find time to do with five kids (whenever they're sleeping, so usually at like 5 am, before they wake up) and then just going out and making videos.
For growing, I think interactions have been so important, so I try to watch ten videos and then I try to leave at least ten comments that don't have to be super long (LOL, like this one) but that are longer than just basic "great post" type comments that are just a couple words, and I try to look around in the comments for other vlogs that look interesting and check out their content to see if it looks like something I'd like to follow.
And lately I've just started to realize that it seems like commenting on live videos can definitely lead to new subscribers.
Although I've totally been meaning to check out both Tube Buddy and vidIQ because I keep hearing about both on so many sites and this is a good reminder. I was actually listening to this while running around doing other things, so I want to come back and watch that part again and see the what both offer and if it would be worth it at this point to get either one yet.
This is extremely helpful content Derral, thanks for sharing!!!
I'm hyped for this series!
I'm taking notes and ready to put this to practice :D
Which note did you put in big, bold capitals from this one, Jason?
vidIQ Researching channels to get data and see why they do what they do, so I can apply it to my own content
Thank you so much! I learnt a lot. Can’t wait for the next one!!
Hey Derral. Thanks for sharing this. I am reading your UA-cam formula book and this is so helpful for the recon section. Greatly appreciated. 👍😀
Thank you Derral, this was very helpful!
Which did you think was the most useful tip/tool?
We use TubeBuddy and I just assumed it was interchangeable with VidIQ, but VidIQ seems like it has so much more info. Thanks for the thorough video! Really helps.
Great stuff Derral! You are the man.
It is quite the learning experience! Even though I havent got many subs, I have learned A LOT! Great content Derral!
Awesome!!! Thank you for your tips. Can't wait to begin! 😉
Great content, Derral! For me, I am starting to look at UA-cam as a student and I notice things differently and appreciate the little things that creators do that I overlooked before. Thank you for the tips!
Thank you, Derral! This is stellar! I totally didn't know about the Historical tab!
We have tabs everywhere .... **Evil Laugh**
Thanks for the info! I'm going to check out the series.
It was fun to see you highlight Zac in this video. I live across the street from his family and watched him grow up. He is an amazing guy! Still neighbors with his parents. Great family!!!
Thanks Hommie!!!! Ill be watching all of these
Make sure you tap that bell notification!
You got it man! Your channel has helped me a lot, as well as Tim's, i just hit my first 100 Subs last week! Stoked!
LOVE IT! :) Keep it up man (and keep it regular :) )
Another vidIQ regular! *High five* It's the middle of the night again for you isn't it?
Love your insight. Been looking to understand how this all works :) you’re awesome!
THANK YOU for this! This is exACTly what I need.
Great first video in this series. I've checked out tube buddy but I really need to go actually study it, for sure. Can't wait for the rest of this series. Thanks for sharing

Hey Derral! Awesome stuff! I'm really excited to use this tool. I am barely rebooting my channel and hoping to grow it. Again, I appreciate it!
Thanks a lot Derral
Great information! Definitely going to add these tools to my tool box! I've been watching YT for years, cars, woodworking, funny stuff, ect., ect.. I started my channel a couple of weeks ago and all I have been watching is How To videos. I will be watching the rest of the series. Thank You!
Thanks Derral, very informative. Thanks for posting,
Guy
Thank you so much for this video. Other people make it sound so complicated.

Thank you for the information Derral. I started a UA-cam channel last month.
So I don't know much more about the UA-cam channel, I'm learning lots of information about UA-cam from your tips so thank you for your updates.
Thanks for all you do Derral. I think you have a book out right? I will definitely be purchasing and literarally studying
I've just learnt you exist today! And I'm at the start of my YT journey as well, so this is perfect 😊
So excited to watch the whole series. Started about 6 months ago and always learning and trying the grow! Love your channel. Thanks for all the tips! 💖BriBri mom
You're welcome!
Thanks for the vidiq tour ... Really helps to see it in action!
Thank you Derral! Becoming a student of UA-camrs will definitely up my game and channels. Seems obvious, but creating isn’t enough. Knowledge is power. I need to learn more so I can create with a strategy.
Most Excellent. Many thanks Derral.
Thank you for taking the time and demonstrating how certain tools work for UA-cam! I've just learned about tubebuddy a few days ago and now vidiq....👍 Awesome content!! Thank you!
Thanks for this Sir Derral :)
Hello my friend, I have been learning UA-cam from you for many years now and am still appreciative of all that you share... I know that you care about your subscibers success, and that you are happy to give away your knowledge and know that success comes right back to you. On behalf of your subscribers, thanks for all you do for us. And I followed you when you started with the piano guys and you have opened up their wonderful music to so many people...thanks for that too...love those guys. Take care of your beautiful family and please let us know when you come to Chicago...it’s been too long.

vidIQ all the vidiq stuff I use TubeBuddy but I like the stuff vidiq can do so I’ll be downloading from the link and trying it 👍🏼
Great info! Thank you for your time.
Thanks
Small channel here, thanks for these tips, sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in trying to get subscribers that you forget to focus on content.
Derral Eves, thank you so much for what you do! It's kinda crazy how little I know about all this stuff and your level of knowledge and tips to get started have such detail, thank you! It's also ironic that 'growing on youtube' is in heavy demand too hahaha
🙏🏾 Thank you
Great job, thank you good sir! Wonderful insight from a success channel!
Great insight. Thanks.
About to hit 80,000 subscribers and couldn’t have done it without your guidance. Thanks Derral!

Great video Derral! Looking forward to this series. I've been a subscriber for quite a long time and I really appreciate what you do for the community by sharing your expertise and inspiration. I am terrible with the bell notification button so thanks for the reminder! 👍of course as always 😀I have started using VidIQ and TubeBuddy so this was a great insight to better utilizing VidIQ. Would love a deeper dive into Reddit on a future video if that fits into your plan. Thanks again!!
It's really good for me to learn and get a lot of ideas from you. Thanks!
Awesome I can not wait to watch them all. Since I have been watching your videos I have grown so much. My issue is many family vlogs are all about little children. My children are preteen and teen years.
Derral! Great video! Thank you so much! So your thoughts on Boost or Pro? Karen
I’m digging your background, especially the Star Wars stuff 👍🏻.
Thanks! Thats very informative!
Thank you:))
Which did you think was the most useful tip/tool?
I learned something!! Following you now!! 😊
Hi Derral,
Your questions and suggestions are amazing. I'm back in school. It's homework time.Thank you for sharing. Have a great day. 🤔😊🥰📝
I believe in my contents and really following your advice as well. Hope things will work!!
You are a great UA-camr!!!
Great video! I have been on UA-cam posting my orchestral concerts since 2009. Over all these years (up until now) I was not really trying to get a lot of subscribers, but to let the musicians in my orchestra see and hear the concerts they have played. While I was conducting it was very difficult just to find time to edit the 2-4 camera shoots at my concerts -- very time consuming. I am now going back to edit my concerts that have not been published due to lack of time. I am also adding video series like: Trombone Lessons: How to get back in shape after 30 years off, How to Conduct an Orchestra, and lots more. Your videos are helping me tremendously. They are the first choice for me.
This February I was removed from the YPP because I only had 631 subscribers. I am now retired from conducting, so I have more time to spend on UA-cam. So, I am trying to get up to 1,000 subscribers to get back into the YPP. Thanks for your advice and I plan to follow it.
Derral..plateau..plateau...man did I need to see your video! Thank you brother! I recently started a channel to try to get middle school kids excited about Science by integrating comedy and magic. I felt like I was on my way to having a successful channel until I hit this “Plateau” that you speak about. I haven’t spent enough time as a viewer. It’s time that this TEACHER becomes the STUDENT! I’m buying into your methodologies and I want to thank you for giving me a boost to get going. Keep up the great work with your advice, instruction and UA-cam Jedi-like wisdom!
thanks
Loving it!
What did you love most Taz?
vidIQ the simplicity of his video and the clarity of what he explains. Loved the fact that he explained things i didn’t know about analytics and how youtube puts your video in the suggested, and also video ranking and tags.
