With only 24 hours in Istanbul Turkey, can World Yoyo Champion Gentry Stein leave a mark in the name of yoyo? This is the 24 hour yoyo challenge, Istanbul Turkey edition.
Objectives
1. Do the DNA yoyo trick in front of the cities 4 most famous locations.
2. Meet up with a local Turkish yoyo player.
3. Try the 3 most famous Turkish foods.
4. Teach 10 strangers a beginner yoyo trick (Around The World) - Розваги

Well, the trick is to literally practice more than you could ever imagine. I have been doing this for 13 years every single day. Every chance I get free time all my breaks at work. You name it anytime I get a chance by yo-yo stays with me on my backpack everywhere I go I have had to put in 10,000 hours just practicing in the last 13 almost 14 years.
At one point I couldn’t do trapeze yet. Just keep working at it and playing hard and you’ll get it!

I just ordered a Shutter Wide Angle from you about 30 min. ago, then came to check out your latest videos. I live in WI (where I'm lucky to be taking in-person yoyo lessons with Han Byrne-Cox), but spent 2007-2012 in beautiful Istanbul. It's so much fun to see you out and about at some of the memorable sites, spreading the yoyo joy. I hope you have the chance to go back and spend more time there. I visited major sites and museums nearly every weekend for 5 years and I still had not seen everything I wanted to see. Keep up the great work as a yoyo ambassador!

hey gentry, this probably isn't the place to ask but, i have an atom smasher yoyo and it isn't spinning nearly as well as it did 8 or 9 days ago, so if youor anyone here has advice on how to increasy the spintime that would be helpful, especially since i cannot find a video telling me how to increase the spin time

There's a pretty good video from the US Public Broadcasting show Nova, I think it is, on Hagia Sophia. Which is so fascinating, due to it's complex role in multiple religions, not to mention it's a very historically interesting piece of architecture due to it's somewhat unique construction.

They were very nice. But $450 was steep.
If it's handmade, it's way more than $30. If it's machine made, not sure how much it's worth. It looked like a very nice rug, but I am no rug expert.
its only cuz it is handmade. it is a big tradition of turkey, if it was machine made you'd be right but handmade rugs obviously take days of hard work to make, so its very expensive. also, the economy is not good there.

its handmade. handmade carpets cost soo much, for a reason. one carpet takes no kidding days, and sometimes weeks to make, so its very expensive. also the economy there is struggling.
