Hello from Cyprus 🇨🇾 and I love Marina and the song ❤ We have the same tradition so untested very well ❤ I wish her all the best ❤ lots of kisses for you 🥰
Yes I'm Greek, the music video is a bit humorizing many Greek things, between usual people, and the craziness of some of us... Marina tried to show that Greece is not only all of these but much more, that you can find f you come to visit us. On stage will be a dancing song in traditional instruments, I hope with excellent choreography, and the great voice of Marina will take the stadium of Malmo. Thank you for the reaction! 😘
This is the reality of Greece. If you went to the village's years ago you can hear these echo sound of the music. As a Greek senior. Good luck Marina Satti. ❤❤❤
Thank you for your reaction! You have more or less stated what I've also felt the first time I listened to the song! On the first listening I was literally FROZEN at the sounds. First few notes reminded me of Bollywood songs, later on I got some Rosalia/latin/trap vibes, a big mix of various ethnic sound patterns that felt incoherent at first. All that from that point. After the second listening, I would get on the funny side of the different sounds in it and how that dangerously catchy "TA, TA, TA, TA" connects them! I haven't also realized whether there was a distinct chorus into it, but I now feel the ta-ta can work like one! Also, as a Greek eurovision fan I appreciate now how the majority of the lyrics is in Greek, something that we haven't heard from a Greek entry for a while. As for the music video itself, I got mixed-to-negative views about it. There is funny meme material into it ngl (eg. that Eurovision tour sign) , but I felt it was a stereotypical and kitsch presentation. At a second thought I am now wondering whether this was done deliberately to show that Greece is not just that (?) and there is also a rich urban lifestyle as it gets depicted from the people on the streets of Athens. In the first few hours after its release I've noticed the division that you described, especially from the Greek side. Some people liked it and spotted its ingenuity but others spit venom over it, calling it non-Greek, trash, and a shame. I can't wait to see the stage perfornance, since Marina Satti has shown great charisma alongside her vocals and there are some well experienced people in her team that can give great support (Fokas Evangelinos, who has successfully collaborated with other Eurovision artists before, being one of them).
Thank you for that comment! It is a great review and addition to my thoughts :) i actually listened to it 3 or 4 more times and i like it much more! And about music video: i think it is to show that Greece is much more then pita, gyros, postards and group tours :) because it is - for me - amazing people, and as is at the end - beginning of many cultures and philosophies:)
Hehe I'm Greek and I perfectly agree with all your points about the song. I definitely disagree about the music video though cause I find it truly horrendous! Not because it shows ugly parts of Greece but because it's an extremely ugly creation as a piece of art. It's of terrible taste. It's super-cheap, clumsy, shallow, messy, extremely corny, gimmicky, just so disgusting! :) Regarding to the song I'm definitely TeamConfused. I love Marina, she is a good singer, beautiful and charismatic, I also appreciate the ethnic parts of this song and how vibrant and danceable it is. The modern elements of it like dry reggaeton beat, spoken semi-singing and the total mess of a structure bring character of a musical-scene that I'm deeply repelled by. I have to note though that this song is indeed very genuine and current. It's properly representative of the music Marina makes in Greece. It might be the first time in this century when we send a song that doesn't sound created solely for Eurovision. So, the song itself is definitely not my thing. But still I have hope and faith that Marina as a so talented performer will manage to give us a strong cool presentation of this bad song and it will end up being a not so bad entry. And I also can not predict if it's gonna finish top3 or bottom3. Regardless of that result I still find it a very interesting addition to the line-ups of both Eurovision 2024 entries and Greek entries of the latest years. Unique and unforgettable for the best and worst reasons.
@@sgiotis4954 well, if they did that on purpose, allow me to see it as a very wrong and silly purpose. The real world gives enough ugliness. I prefer art giving beauty to ballance that.
We have potential winner❤🇬🇷

I think Greece have a big potential to win Eurovision song contest this year
Team fucking love it here and also Έλληνας! The Greek projection in the video has to do with how foreigners see us

Yes, I am sure.

that was exactly the point of the video: to look trashy.
