- Nursery teacher Jenny and her boyfriend Steve, escape for a romantic weekend away. Steve, planning to propose, has found an idyllic setting: a remote lake enclosed by woodlands and seemingly deserted. The couple's peace is shattered when a gang of obnoxious kids encircles their campsite. Reveling in provoking the adults, the gang steals the couple's belongings and vandalizes their car leaving them completely stranded. When Steve confronts them, tempers flare and he suffers a shocking and violent attack. Fleeing for help, Jenny is subject to a brutal and relentless game of cat-and-mouse as she desperately tries to evade her young pursuers and find her way out of the woods.

It's a well-crafted horror film. The recap doesn't capture the tension created through sound design and cinematography that make it stand out in the horror genre.
@HardrightBiBitch It's a horror movie. It's supposed to horrify you. Moralizing about the real world when it's completely fictional is silly. It's not realistic, it's contrived. I understand not everyone can appreciate that the genre isn't for everyone but this is objectively an excellent film. You don't have to like art for it to be good.

Though the ending may not seem so likeable for the average person, it seems a little realistic. There are literally sadistic parents out there who teach and condone their kids to be the same as them. And how many people go missing each year.

As I've watched this movie a long time ago, I was extremely angry at this couple because they already have the opportunity to move out of that place seeing bad signs. They still ignore the alarming incidents of those punks. Clearly they're up to no good. However this movie is realistic and I know many stories similar to this.
