I just loved this one! You have such a happy and uplifting personality! I love when you ponder how to say things in English, it’s very endearing! And I love how easy you laugh about things too! Keep being a light in this crazy world! ☺️
I dont really know why (maybe because I saw Pippi Långstrump when I was little)(and in Switzerland the traditions are not so different after all) but I've always been so fascinated by swedish culture and traditions and christmas traditions in particular. Nothing gets me more in a festive mood than watching swedish christmas videos and this one is a real treat! Will definitivelly try the lussekatter next weekend! :3 Thank you! xx
Such beautiful decorations! I would never think you were “making do” with what you have. It all looks so special and festive. Yes, in the states we tend to go overboard with little Santa/elf/angel/reindeer statues. I’m embarrassed to say we have a dancing Santa doll from the 90’s. It was very popular. 😂
Really appreciate all your time and effort with videos like this! So excited to try the DIYS you shared, thank you!! Hope to see more traditional Swedish Christmas recipe videos, they are my favourite!
I have been a silent viewer so far but now feel have to comment. I really like your videos, the colours, mood, pictures, content and your personality. It makes me feel calm.
Hello , I was born in germany , live in france , and listen to a Swedish women who speaks English , it is funy .I love your videos very much.Thank you .The music is beautiful and also the DIY.Perfectly imperfect ist the best .
how exciting! we just got a little Christmas tree (in a pot this year) and already spent the whole weekend baking gingerbread cookies. Best time of the year!
This is so beautiful. It’s lovely to learn about all the Swedish traditions. I think I’ll make my own wreath this year too, and one for my new neighbors - we share a main hall door.
I just loved this video. It was sweet, simple, cozy, inspirational and uplifting...and 'perfectly imperfect ' (as you said). When I was (much) younger I'd spend hours getting everything just perfect for the holidays - and it usually stressed me out while doing so - taking a lot of the joy with it. Luckily, now I'm at a point in my life where I see the beauty and find joy in the imperfections of life, moreso than the perfection. I feel that things (and people) are much more authentic when they're not trying so hard to be perfect. Thank you for another lovely video. Happy Advent!😊 1 second ago
I would wander that outdoor market forever ❤️ Oh how I love floral, greens, fruits. Natural decor is where my heart is. I hung birdseed “ornaments” outside on a pergola today. Stay well 😉
It's crazy to think that just one year ago I was in Stockholm doing my Erasmus🥺 Thank you for this super cosy and relaxing video, it felt like I was back in Sweden for a bit 🎄❤️
Your videos are super relaxing because of your calm tone and the chosen music and lighting :) Also this jumper suits you amazingly! Instead of buying those rings for wreaths we used old clothing hangers you get from the dry cleaners and bent them into somewhat round circles. Maybe someone also has those laying around and feels crafty :)
I just adore your videos! They are truly works of art. I cannot have plants in my house because we have a cat and 16 parrots (and three on the way!). However, I still love to live vicariously through folks on UA-cam.
I just bought those cookies at Trader Joes today. I love them with my Ginger/Turmeric tea. I absolutely loved this vlog. Putting me in the Christmas spirit. Thank you Malin and Rob.
Such a lovely video that was so calming, relaxing and happy! Your filming is beautiful! I really appreciate all the homemade DIY decorations and that you just work with nature and what you have. Everything looks so Christmasy, cozy, and bright. I enjoyed this so much and will make the orange and clove ornaments and the orange slices today, as I have everything on hand at home already. Wishing you a joyous and healthy holiday season. xo! oh, and the music selection was perfect...such Christmas vibes I have now! :D !!!
I could watch you all day long! Such beautiful videos. Our tiny family's christmas traditions are putting up the decorations on the 1st of Dec, shopping for one new ornament that represents the year gone past, taking a traditional Santa picture to marvel at how much the kids have grown and also to choose to open one present on christmas eve. 🥰 A very merry festive season to you from hot and steamy Australia!
Beautiful footage as always! Your hard work to make videos eye pleasing is visible, thank you! Not done any diy for now, only set up some string lights, but you inspired me to make some decorations too! I'm from Latvia and we Christmas ginger cookies call very similar : piparkukas. :D Have a calm 2nd Advent!
I love the way you say Santa! Also love the video :) I wanted to make an orange slice garland this year and you reminded me! Happy Holidays Malin and Rob!
Wonderful video as always. I am glad I am not the only one who tends to "make more of a mess than decorate" when I first start to DIY or decorate for the holidays. I always think "yeah, this will take me and hour..." 3 hours later and a mess. The end result is great though!
I've had trouble getting excited for many things this year, including Christmas, but your video has inspired me in so many ways. Thank you for bringing some cheer and fun ideas! 😊
Amazing! I have some friends coming over, and I am going to try the beetroot salad. I use the fairy lights on our plants and on some of my kid's shelves.
Love hanging out with you! I wish I had done some holiday decorating yesterday but I hurt my back so i wasn't feeling up to digging stuff out of the shed! I always love seeing Swedish traditions because my great-grandparents were from Sweden and Finland (and my aunt is from Finland). I don't recall much from my childhood except the Coffee Bread my great grandma (Mumu) used to make and there was always "hard-tack" (crisp rye crackers) on the table at every meal, and of course, a lot of my family members on the farm had saunas!
Hello Malin! This was just lovely!...yes, its time to become comfortable with the imperfections and see the beauty anyway...Im so ready for December and decided to do a fun decoration/ tradition/ treat daily till the big day to celebrate... you've given me a few ideas! Im looking for a "pepperkoker" snap biscuit (?) Gf/ df recipe? Can you help?🌲🌟🤔
Just binge-watching some of your Christmas videos to get into the spirit! 😁 I don’t know whether it would be something you’d be interested in making a video on, but it would be really cool to see a vegan guide to winter clothing (or even clothing in general). 😊
I just loved this 🤩 “go with what you have, it’s ok, even if not perfect” ✌️I decorate this way every year 🤜🤛(what else with 3 boy-helpers in the house 😁)... I so much enjoyed this video, thanks 🙏 🎄✨⛄️
Love your vids, just relaxing and inspiring 😊 I have these paper stars with no bulb lights anymore and I put battery operated fairy lights inside, just small strings- just a tip 🙃❤
30's here in Missouri. Love the smell of Oranges. One of my favorite fruit. Never could have too many Oranges. 😊❤️ Cozy video Love this. Love this time of year. And all I've had was a PB GF, sandwich. 😆 Your sandwich sounds yummy. Can't wat to see the full Decor. It gets dark here early too like 5 pm. I love those Stars. Your Decorations are Beautiful. We seem to have Elf on The Shelf type of thing that goes on. lol. Maybe put the fairy lights in the living area, or around your stars.
I'm 58 seconds into the video -- and I fully intend on watching the rest of it -- but I had to pause it to say omg, you look stunning! Your makeup really suits you!
Loved this video! I watched it making my own wreath. Funny side note: I knew the sandwich would contain beetroot in some shape or form before you mentioned it. The red finger tips are just too tell-tale!
thank you for the lovely video!! Regarding the fairy lights: maybe consider putting some lights in and around your vase with the dried gras (sorry, I forgot the correct name you've mentioned) which you made festive with your leftover branches to make them even more festive and sparkling in the dark ;-)
Lovely video! I'm looking forward to set up my perfectly imperfect decorations tomorrow :) May I ask you where is the nice striped t-shirt from? (Sorry if you already mentioned it in another video...)
I feel it would have been better to let the roots of the plants more free with spaces between each plant and the other. Just a suggestion for next year ago 😊
you make such beautiful videos :D it kinda makes me wanna start youtube as well, but its intimidating bcuz i have no experience in video making. How did you start ? lots of love Nathalie
I loved the video .. I always hope your videos have exceptional work from you and rob .. The videos are relaxing and inspiring. Thank you. Postscript You can enable automatic subtitles.
Lovely video Malin! I'm also sensitive to gluten and vegan, and I found this recipe (in Swedish) for lussekatter which are gluten free and vegan: thewaveswemake.se/thenordickitchen/2016/12/03/lussekatter-gf-vegan/ might be worth trying that out so you can enjoy them without digestive issues.. Happy advent!
Well some do and some do not, they recently started recommending masks so more people use them now! Before many people said that they didn’t work but some people made some studies and they showed that they did work, so right now they are recommending masks if you need to go out!
I do enjoy the city I live in and there are many beautiful places in Sweden for sure 😊 Masks are not mandatory in Sweden. Personally I would definitely wear one if I was going on public transport or if I was going to be in a confined space with other people in some way. As I work from home I have limited contact with people, I also don't visit any shops or other public indoor places except for the grocery store once or twice per week. At all times I make sure to keep my distance to people, both indoors and outdoors. Sorry about the long explanation but I have picked up that there is a lot of feelings and even politics surrounding the topic of masks and I just want you to know that I take this pandemic very seriously. I have purchased some masks as the spread has become wider in the area I live and when it arrives I intend to wear it when I visit the supermarket. I do believe masks are important, especially when in spaces where keeping distance is difficult. Wishing you a lovely day Lynn! 🤗
Your teeth are so cute and so your smile. Hope you never go for the new veneers trend. Now everyone has such perfect teeth that remind me of a piano keyboard lolol

I tested positive for Covid-19 today. I needed something like this video to calm me down. Thank you for posting ♥️
I hope you get well and stay safe
I just said a prayer for restored health and healing for you.
Thank y'all very much
Take care my friend. You are going to be ok. Sending you love from semi quarantined CA.
Wishing you love, light and excellent health, from locked-down Toronto, Canada.
You are such a sweet soul. I love knowing you are in the world. Happy holidays to you and Rob.
Really appreciate all your time and effort with videos like this! So excited to try the DIYS you shared, thank you!! Hope to see more traditional Swedish Christmas recipe videos, they are my favourite!
Thank you so much for another beautiful video. Sunday is my favorite day as you post a new video :)
That is my pleasure 😊 so glad you look forward to them! Wishing you a wonderful day 🤗

My little loophole with buying cut flowers is that I sometimes manage to propagate from them. Lovely video. :)

Jag saknar svenska bakelser nu att jag bor i Nederländerna igen, men dina lussekatter ser så goda ut! Ska prova baka dem själv. Tack Malin! X

Feeling the Yule time ❤️❤️❤️, in this year 2020 it’s good to be reminded of the changing seasons and life’s celebrations that ground us. 🎄🌲🎄🌲

Love the Christmas content!! Hope there will be more of that!
The orange with cloves idea is so interesting! I am very curious though - Does it get eaten eventually?
I love the way you say Santa! Also love the video :) I wanted to make an orange slice garland this year and you reminded me! Happy Holidays Malin and Rob!
I'm the same way about time management! Constantly trying to squeeze everything into one day lol
Glad I'm not alone 🙈 maybe we'll learn one day, lol! 🤗
It would be so nice to see a back & forth collab where you feature each other. ❤️❤️

I needed this inspiration! Thank you and warm wishes for this first week of the holiday season🌠🎄
What a lovely video!!! I’m quite craft challenged but I think you’ve inspired me to attempt making my own evergreen wreath!!😉
Magical!!!🌲

Loving your content 🥰

Hello, how long do the truffles last? I would like to gift them but I don't know if they go bad after some time
Loved this video!
How lovely that you want to gift them! Is day they're best eaten within a week. Keep them refrigerated until you gift them 😊
Could you make a pepparkaka recipe ?
Those are called Amaryllis plants.
You’re looking so pretty 😍

I was wondering why your fingers are so red! It was the beets 😛
Do people not need to wear masks for covid-19 in Sweden?
