Award Winning Kent County Water Authority Administration & Maintenance Facility

Bentley Companies served as Construction Manager for this 46,000 sf Administration and Maintenance Facility for Kent County Water Authority. The project involves the development of the previously wooded 8-acre site located in West Greenwich, RI. The site includes a covered material storage shed and a 30,000 sf Pre-Engineered Metal Building housing a maintenance garage each designed for a future solar array on the rooftops. The Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) is attached to a 16,000 sf Administrative Building.
The site lays adjacent to freshwater wetlands and requires consistent maintenance to the Soil and Erosion Control Plan and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. This new facility also features a fueling depot and electric vehicle charging stations with controlled entry to the site.
This project was recognized with a 2024 ABC RI Excellence in Construction Award.
