Cave gives you 9 notes to mute or unmute by clicking them. Then you hold the note and press the + or - to tune it up or down. The octave switches are just different cave algorithms.

You are largely responsible for my getting a Meng Qi Wingie2, which arrived yesterday, only a few days after I ordered it from Perfect Circuit. One must strike whilst the iron's hot. Nice video. After watching, I took a look at the text on the back which is confusing in terms of Caves mode. I then figured it out. From the right of the Wingie, the third black button from the right unmutes all voices on both keyboards. Every other white and black button turns on or off a single voice. Eventually, by pressing all of the white/black buttons (except for the third black from the right that mutes all), you will either hear no voices or all of them. It's a very cool control for this mode!

Came here looking for more insight into the caves mode. My understanding is limited, but each cave seems like a different frequency range of a pseudo-reverb. When you hit a key it will mute that frequency accordingly. It's most noticeable to me in the lower frequencies. The unmute all is straightforward, but the add/sub+ solid keys tunes the pitch of the cave in ways I don't understand yet
It's a lovely tool. Adds gorgeous ambience... But my concern is that if you were in an environment where you were gigging the mics would just get overwhelmed and distort
@@soffter is there the possibility of adjusting the sensitivity? It's so small and such a good performance tool that it'd be a shame if they were locked in a studio. It would look very cool and mysterious to anyone seeing you playing with it
