In todays age of things like NASA designing a 'Near Light Speed Engine' that breaks laws of physics (literally quoted!) how can we not prevent or at least lessen the blows of things like this!?! I was watching this heart breaking footage and even I came up with a solution... A giant WATER WALL! Whats the only thing that can stop burning? Cold running water. Hot-cold Fire-water... Things like this NEED to happen for earth..it is it's own way of self regulating and maintaining itself.. So with that said, if we can GROW A HUMAN BLOODY EAR ON THE BACK OF A MOUSE!!!! how can we not come up with something that helps in situations like this? Instead of paying engineers and politicians to come up with more ways to control us, why don't we put that money into paying ethical humans to come up with things like my WATER WALL idea!?! I'm so so sorry to all the people going through this.. And I hope you all stay safe and please people there, look after the animals going through it as well. No one ever thinks about the devastating effects things like this have on animals.
The icelanders stopped. lava flows like this by spraying seawater on them I know these are enormous but molten inside. Surely an option here or is nothing in the valusble enough justify trying this ?

Keep in mind that the water has a heat capacity connected with temp, so ignoring the energy needed to transfer to the vapor state, the 30 degree sea water in Iceland is capable of withdrawing way more energy per gallon than the 80-90 degree water around La Palma, at pretty much the equator. The water in Iceland was at most a couple of hundred yards away whereas in La Palma it would require pumping it perhaps a kilometer as well as vertically up the slope, which requires a lot of energy. Keep in mind that the water has a heat capacity connected with temp, so ignoring the energy needed to transfer to the vapor state, the 30 degree sea water in Iceland is capable of withdrawing way more energy per gallon than the 80-90 degree water around La Palma, at pretty much the equator. The water in Iceland was at most a couple of hundred yards away whereas in La Palma it would require pumping it perhaps a kilometer as well as vertically up the slope, which requires a lot of energy. I suppose they could try to establish a solid levee to channel the lava when it gets to the ocean to keep it from spreading laterally in the flat lands.
