Dodgers fan here! Big fan of your page. I like when you said “should have, could have, and would’ve have don’t pay the rent”! Ain’t that about the truth. All I can say is this Yankees team reminds me of dodgers these last few years. When it seems every move Robert’s made and his analytics killed us. Lots of games we could have won but for one reason or another, we lost! Nothing but heart aches but all is forgotten and forgiven when you win! Now Robert’s is a sure hall of famer and it seemed like every post season he lost, he learned from and delivered LA that championship we were all waiting for. Hopefully for yall, Boone can learn from his mistakes and Yankees team can grow. Would be nice to run it back with yanks in these upcoming years.. yall want them payback and we wanna do it to yall again! 😂😂
That Cole-Rizzo miscue is still one of the strangest defensive gaffe I've seen in a long time because both of them were in the wrong. Joez was right that Rizzo should've charged that ball because Mookie is fast and that Cole was not going to beat him to the bag so again it goes back to the theme of lack of urgency with these 2024 Yankees.
You are speaking facts here. Us Dodger fans have had to deal with a lot of this, "well, at least we made it to the World Series", or "another meaningless division championship". With respect to Jeter (who would have made that play at third base, he just always did), it stings worse when you have the best team and you don't show it. If you're not as good as the other team but you did your best, you can at least have some pride in yourself. Anyway, at least you don't cover the Jets. I would LOVE to hear your commentary on them!🤣🤣
Soto has a great skill set to be a 1st baseman. He has great instincts, works hard, is fearless, and commits quickly to decisions. He's a good and improving right fielder, but not great. It's the only thing he's not great at.
@Frankieefootballmundial Dominguez is a natural center fielder. He's been pretty good there in the minors. Let him play mostly center, maybe trying out other outfield spots a little to see if he can learn them. I would move Judge to left or right. Judge is a natural right fielder with skills that allow him to play an above average center field too. That skill set translates well to left. The Yankees should have had him trying out left for most of the year getting ready for Dominguez.
Quit forcing people where they dont fit. If they get Soto back, get rid of Stanton, leave Soto in DH. Put Jazz in center where he has been good before, put Judge back in right. Start rebuilding your corner infields. Pete Alonso and Ty France are free agents with 99% fielding efficiency the last 4-5 years. At third you have Bregman and Yoan Moncada free agents
Sorry to say but a team whos captain drops a routine fly ball on the biggest world series of his life and also goes into hitting slumps and cant handle pressure is always going to have a tough time winning. He needs to be the example!

Great video JM, love your channel. I’m sure you haven’t done this but if the Yankees want to improve they should really watch the Dodgers vs Padres NLDS series. That had the vibes of a real WS. Watch that and you’ll see the difference between the Yankees and the Padres.
@@JoezMcflySports JM now that the World Series is over I can finally say this. Thank you Aaron Boone for not adding Grisham to the lineup. This guy goes crazy every time he plays the Dodgers. I feared Grisham more than Judge. Have many nightmares with him at bat during his SD years.
I am a Mets fan, and I was rooting for the Yanks, I always root NY first no matter what, and it was really painful for me as a NY sports fan seeing an LA team celebrate a WS especially on Yankee Stadium, that is just a major insult and hopefully either the Mets or Yanks will get revenge on the Dodgers or SF or SD sometime soon. Great channel! subbed.
Dodgers fan here the Mets gave us the hardest series it was fun to watch but don't forget we won with major injuries if we are healthy nobody's beating us, we are probably the villains now we are like the 2017 warriors
I’m a Dodgers fan and a lot of Yankee fans are upset at the scouting report and what Joe Kelly said. It wasn’t something that only the Dodgers knew. If any other team got to the WS they’d have the exact same scouting report on New York. That should be motivation to make big changes and for the sake of baseball and their fans, I hope they do.
No one said modern yankees adapt from anything. As long as both Aaron's are on the team, expect parties over participation trophies and collecting yearly contract payments instead of caring to win.
@@welkingunther4298 every Yankee fan wants their skipper out already, and Judge isn’t helping his own case. All I said is that motto is a bad motto when Yankee fans want change
As a Cardinals fan I can feel the pain from the prospective of knowing what a winning mentality feels like and now both the Yankees and the cardinals don't have that mentality anymore and it's sad. Both the Cardinals and the Yankees have always been a step ahead of every other team. Now the Cardinals are a step behind.. I was rooting for the Yankees to win.. Roger Maris has always been my all time favorite player and he played for both teams obviously. Hope yall have better luck next year. ✌️
I totally agree with your response to Rose's take. Yankees fans aren't the ones creating the narrative of championships over everything and the world series win or bust mindset, the Yankees organization is. And as long as they are going to keep branding themselves that way, I'm going to keep holding them accountable to the standards they set for themselves. Did I enjoy the judge season and the soto alcs hr, absolutely. When I think about the 2024 season are those the memories I'm going to reflect on, probably not. I also agree that this is maybe a different conversation if the yankees don't go down like they did, but given how embarrassing the ending was and the last 7 or 8 years we've been through with this team there's very little hope I have for next season regardless of how things go with soto and others this offseason.
I'd be interested to see the series stats without game 4 in the calculations. Yes, the Dodgers pitchers in that game were part of the staff the team brought into the postseason so they don't get any special dispensation for giving up 11 runs, but Dave Roberts' strategy in that game was essentially to concede it by putting in his least talented pitchers so the better ones could be saved for later games. Again, that doesn't mean the Yankees' offense in game 4 wasn't every bit legitimate, but if we're looking for an accurate comparison of the teams relative performances for the whole of the series, that game is something of an outlier. And on a related note: I wonder how good the 2024 Dodgers might have been if they hadn't lost half their starting rotation to injuries for the better part of the year, just as I wonder how good the 2024 Yankees might have been if they hadn't been so prone to sloppy play and dumb ass errors?
The Yankees really need to re-evaluate what they are for next season. Honestly, as a dodger fan, when I saw we were going up against the Yankees, I was not scared of the outcome, I knew we would beat them. That’s a problem. The Yankees should be feared, we should dread having to play the Yankees, but that’s just not what the Yankees are anymore. They either need to invest and really dig deep to overhaul the org, or just settle for what they are and admit they’re not a top organization anymore. Something needs to change.
Dodgers are Word Champions, but just so you know must of us would Dodgers fan would have gone for the Yankees in a World Series. Of course if the Dodgers would not go. Keep your heads up Yankees fans hopefully you get one next year.
EDIT : I watched this video 3x to hear my own thoughts and not talk to myself. Amazing video! 1000% agree with you. The Yankee way has been forgotten and yes, the fans are sold on winning. So many season that does not result in a ring is a failure when you're paying top dollar for almost everything and sold on the idea of winning. Yankees don’t sell rebuilding or rebranding they sell World Series Contenders. Shoulda woulda coulda but Yankees should have been up 3-2 on the series with game 6 in LA. If you watched every game and noticed the miscues or bad managing decisions, it’s hard to ignore.
Great rant. Humorous and intelligent. That series stats graphic tells one story while the Dodgers' scouting report tells another. So reminds me of "Trouble With The Curve". In that movie, computer-generated data says draft the slugger, but scout Clint Eastwood adamantly warns that those numbers don't tell the whole story.
I know you saw it live so it's different viewing angles than on TV but rizzo did exactly what he needed to. He is playing back with 2 out, the ball has a side spin moving away from the bag, so he needs to make sure he fields it since it is not an easy ground ball to field. Cole didn't run to first, he should be doing that everytime the ball is hit to first base without thinking just a reaction, that's just basic pitching fielding plays. He personally stated that he charged the ball and thought it was very slowly hit bit it obviously wasn't (he was clearly vary hopped up adrenaline wise to even think that). He said he made the error there and should have been at first, but just didn't make the play.
I have no idea how Rizzo felt no urgency on that play. Like he didn't even try to beat Betts to 1st. It's as if he already saw Betts run through the bag or something.
I think you hit it right on the nail. Rizzo should have charged that ball. In the first inning Mooike had grounded out to first and Rizzo took it himself. I'm a die hard Dodger fan and trust me we did not want see a game 6. Congrats on your podcast keep up the good work. Much RESPECT!
Your on point joez, We lost Lost to a better team . Yankees plan should be be in on soto but Here is the thing Agent boras wants to take this far . YANKS PLEASE DO NOT STAY WITH NO HOLES TO FILL AND HAVE NO TEAMS , there are free agents out there .
Love this man, you're spot on, yankee baseball is just different. Chris Rose doesn't get it and that's okay. We HAVE to get it back to what it used to be. Looking forward to more of your takes.
Why you always hosting Joez?! Love the content man, even as a Dodger fan. What I will point out about the graphic at 4:05 is that the Yankees' stats are heavily inflated by the Game 4 punt game where the Dodgers sent out the bad bullpen. Obviously you still have to hit the ball and whatnot but the stats for games 1-3 and 5 will be much more indicative of how the Yankee offense performed, and they're probably about even without game 4.
Game 4 is still important because it gave the offense the momentum to just swing instead of starting at 24 pitches down center. It's not about being impressed that the Yankees destroyed AAA pitchers while everyone else was resting, it's just that its important because it obviously helped improved yankee offense confidence which showed in the first 5 innings of the next game, even against their better pitchers until the shtshow.
As a Dodger fan it's great to see that the problem and root cause of Yankee post season performance goes way deep and not just from a player perspective, but the entire organization and approach to long term success, not to mention Soto might be gone. In other words it's not like you can just buy a great player and expect to win, your fundamentals suck you rely on the big bats and when their MIA you're doomed even with a huge lead. Know that no matter how big the lead, your defense will fail you and the opponents can come back so don't cheer too hard.
I feel you on the disappointment. And Rosey does overstep sometimes by telling people how they should feel about something. I usually skip those segments on baseball today. I do think it's a fallacy to demand a result because X amount of dollars got thrown at something, though. It may put the best pieces in place, but at the end of the day, the players win or lose the game, whatever they're getting paid.
The homies over here in LA analyzed that Mookie hit, so this is to be taken with a grain of salt in a 20 lbs bag but we think its cause Rizzo got pissed at Cole pointing at that damn 1st base bag all night, instead of running towards it himself. He didnt run towards bag out of spite cause Cole was pointing at the bag again. Imagine you a petty spoiled baseball player & your teamate keeps telling you what to do, especially obvious stuff, at the WS, in front of the world. You ll do it to prove a point..little did he know, or maybe he did, that it would cost them the whole game! Think about our homeboy theory and watch it again! Great videos homie..
I think I'd like to see the stats of the series without game 4 included. The Dodgers were trying to win that game for about 3 innings before they went to long relievers and saved their best arms. The Yankees piled on hits and runs on some bad arms. Still, I see the argument that the Yankees could have won game 1 with better managing and game 5 with better play in the field. On the other hand, this assumes the Dodgers are just static and couldn't do better than they did, any breaks that might make, for example, game 1 less of a comeback (Edman's error in game 1 should have been a double play and prevented the Yankees from going ahead, which might have offset another inning by Cole if Boone kept him in).
All teams make errors…NOT all teams can do what’s needed to capitalize on them. So any nonsense about the Yankees giving it away vs the Dodgers taking the win is bullshit.
Of course the Yankees gave it away. 1 error in game 1 and 1 error in game 5 was the only reason it did not go back to LA with NY up 3-2. Dodgers were the better team and capitalized on their errors like you said.
You blind? 3 errors in 1 inning back to back is insane for a WS team. This aint the white sox. Even if the dodgers didn't capitalize off of any of them, I wouldn't care for Game 6 since it would be instant loss.
In Rizzo's defense that ball was cork screwing to his right he really couldn't charge the ball, the fault lies w/ Cole for NOT covering the base when that's your #1 job in that situation!
nobody's fault. It was a slow roller. Rizzo is just about the slowest runner in MLB. Cole is probably just as slow. Mookie is just about the fastest runner in MLB. He was going to beat out the hit. And it was ruled a base hit. There is no issue at that point. If they saw they needed a speedier 1st baseman, they should have been thinking more about spring training. Great Job by Mookie.
I find the yankees so interesting because I’m a mets fan and i feel like the mets are in the complete opposite boat right now. We’ve had horrible ownership so we were raised with losing and the one playoff run once a decade. We react to this season as a stepping stone to the top and fans are so happy even with a loss because the new ownership is running the team as a fan would. Its about the winning. While the yankees are in the complete opposite like you said raised on winning so now with seasons not even with a playoff appearance is water never treaded before. Would’ve loved a Subway series and can SOMEONE please bring anything back to new york. We need a parade desperately
The problem the Yankee have is that they believe in their players too much. If a closer blows multiple saves, the Yankees will keep them in and tell everyone they believe in there players. However, the Dodgers will replaces you for someone who will get the job done.
So im a huge Dodger fan i watch every game . I started watching you in this series and i respect your content and will continue to follow. Only thing i disagree with you is the Dodgers basically conceded that game and put our worse pitchers to burn innings and thats where your numbers came from. It actually wasnt even close . Unfortunately he won’t be a free agent anytime soon. He signed a 10 year extension with the Mets in 2021. I always said the Yankees should’ve signed him years ago. Mets won’t trade him at all and I doubt the Yankees move on from Volpe.
That’s on Volpe, a third baseman isn’t a 1st baseman who is used to scooping like that. No guarantee Chapman or Arenado make that pick. And for argument sake second baseman have to pick more bad throws than 3rd.
I remember the Jeter years when the Yankees couldn't lose. After the 2004 ALCS collapse curse, Yankees can't win if they tried. That game five collapse was one of the ugliest, most pathetic collapses I've ever witnessed

I feel your pain. And yes, I first started checking out the Yankees based channels to drink the Yankees’ tears, but I’m staying for the great conversation. That quote by Steinbrenner is awesome and brutal at the same time. Anyway, I’m subscribed and looking forward to more good content. “What am I supposed to do with these two hats?!” 😆. Sorry. Hope you guys hold onto Soto…
Lol thank you bud thats appreciated
Cole not running to first base was a killer
Yankees fan here inspite off new subscriber here ❤ all good New Yorkers bounce back 🙌🏻👊
Dodgers fan here! 😂😂
As a Dodger fan, seeing Gerrit Cole just full stop his move over to first base hurt my soul.
Dodgers got lucky man 😂
That Cole-Rizzo miscue is still one of the strangest defensive gaffe I've seen in a long time because both of them were in the wrong. Joez was right that Rizzo should've charged that ball because Mookie is fast and that Cole was not going to beat him to the bag so again it goes back to the theme of lack of urgency with these 2024 Yankees.
This was the best breakdown I’ve see thus far! Your talking points were spot on! Would love to see you and Chris Rose debate your POVs.
I would LOVE to hear your commentary on them!🤣🤣
Lmaoooo jets oh god no thanks giants are prob worst
Heyy! Finally I found the funniest Yankee fan to ever watch when the Yankees lose live! 😂
Rizzo should not be charging the ball on that play. Spin rate was insane. Stopping it is the priority. Cole's issue.
Screaming and crying and swearing in front of that little kid at the game was pretty out of line bro.
It's just hard to see a legendary team like the Yankers lose like they did
I will never forget this debacle.
I’ll come back and listen to this later. Still too pissed off.
Soto has a great skill set to be a 1st baseman. He has great instincts, works hard, is fearless, and commits quickly to decisions. He's a good and improving right fielder, but not great. It's the only thing he's not great at.
And maybe put Dominguez in right field
@Frankieefootballmundial Dominguez is a natural center fielder. He's been pretty good there in the minors. Let him play mostly center, maybe trying out other outfield spots a little to see if he can learn them.
I would move Judge to left or right. Judge is a natural right fielder with skills that allow him to play an above average center field too. That skill set translates well to left. The Yankees should have had him trying out left for most of the year getting ready for Dominguez.
Agree
His base running skill is not well.
In Fangraphs’ evaluation, his running value are negative.
Great vid. When you say 'just make the Yankees play baseball', thats rough.
Sorry to say but a team whos captain drops a routine fly ball on the biggest world series of his life and also goes into hitting slumps and cant handle pressure is always going to have a tough time winning. He needs to be the example!
Thank you Joez appreciate you brother and just starting following you! Keep up great work and content! Go Yanks we will be back!👍🏾👌🏾🙏🏾
I was in shock about what Chris rose said about yankee success, you’ve got the right take there Joez. I’m not a yankee fan AT ALL but I sure as hell know what it means to yankee fans when they don’t win. Good takes
Great video JM, love your channel. I’m sure you haven’t done this but if the Yankees want to improve they should really watch the Dodgers vs Padres NLDS series. That had the vibes of a real WS. Watch that and you’ll see the difference between the Yankees and the Padres.
Good point
@@JoezMcflySports JM now that the World Series is over I can finally say this. Thank you Aaron Boone for not adding Grisham to the lineup. This guy goes crazy every time he plays the Dodgers. I feared Grisham more than Judge. Have many nightmares with him at bat during his SD years.
Great analysis. Unfortunately, the Yanks could not overcome the brutal defense in the 5th.
I am a Mets fan, and I was rooting for the Yanks, I always root NY first no matter what, and it was really painful for me as a NY sports fan seeing an LA team celebrate a WS especially on Yankee Stadium, that is just a major insult and hopefully either the Mets or Yanks
will get revenge on the Dodgers or SF or SD sometime soon. Great channel! subbed.
Dodgers fan here the Mets gave us the hardest series it was fun to watch but don't forget we won with major injuries if we are healthy nobody's beating us, we are probably the villains now we are like the 2017 warriors
We can skew the stats to our liking all we want. The only thing that matters is 4-1.
“Show me a good loser, and I’ll show you a loser” is crazy from a team that doesn’t adapt from loses
No one said modern yankees adapt from anything. As long as both Aaron's are on the team, expect parties over participation trophies and collecting yearly contract payments instead of caring to win.
@@welkingunther4298Exactly 💯
This probably the best video that justifies why Yankee fans feel the way they feel about this team. As a Mets fan, we saw this coming a mile away.
Thanks for tipping your hat the better team will always prevail anyways shoutout the west coast don Ice Cube!!
This is my favorite post season ever. All the Padres, Mets, and especially Yankees tears has been fantastic. Thank you!
Aaron Boone is the reason this team will not win a WS
Love this man, you're spot on, yankee baseball is just different. Chris Rose doesn't get it and that's okay. We HAVE to get it back to what it used to be. Looking forward to more of your takes.
Great video very well said about everything 💯
Appreciate that ty
Why you always hosting Joez?!
Love the content man, even as a Dodger fan.
What I will point out about the graphic at 4:05 is that the Yankees' stats are heavily inflated by the Game 4 punt game where the Dodgers sent out the bad bullpen. Obviously you still have to hit the ball and whatnot but the stats for games 1-3 and 5 will be much more indicative of how the Yankee offense performed, and they're probably about even without game 4.
Ty man i appreciate the support congrats on your ring
Game 4 is still important because it gave the offense the momentum to just swing instead of starting at 24 pitches down center. It's not about being impressed that the Yankees destroyed AAA pitchers while everyone else was resting, it's just that its important because it obviously helped improved yankee offense confidence which showed in the first 5 innings of the next game, even against their better pitchers until the shtshow.
Much respect. Good luck next year!
I’m a pirates fan all due respect man. Yankees fans STILL have it pretty damn good TRUSSTT ME!!!!!
I hit subscribe cause im a mets fan snd u told the truth about your Yankees. I respect that.
PRESSURE BUST STEELE WIDE OPEN... Stay up JM great analysis 👍🏼
Game 5, 5th Inning, 5 Runs. 😎🤙
freddie freeman #5
Yankees need to ask the Dodger Scouts what they need to do to be a better team!
Rizzo nevers charges to first he always waits for the pitchers. And cole should know this
I feel you on the disappointment.
Cole is as much as fault as Rizzo. You don't assume. You run to first until the first basement calls you off. Cole turned into a little leaguer
I don’t get the fat Joe part he’s such a like able guy too the blame should be on that crap that plays baseball in the south Bronx
Nah once I saw Fat Joe look into camera as he was starting the song, I knew this Series was over 😂😂😂😂
My apologies. I talked a lot of smack on ur other posts dog. Props to u for being a stand up guy, even when ur team took an L. Mad respect 🫡
Yankees embarrassed themselves and the fans. Wheres Hal?
Love the channel God bless brother
Much appreciated
Game 4 existed it always did..
Happy for 60k but you know it’s all dodger fans watching you explode from within 😂me included.
Dead it bro! We all witnessed it let's move on. 😂
Feeling the pain in England 🇬🇧 so disappointed in the World Series. All the best 😊
@@Platerpus7the error doesn’t make the result….the error offers an opportunity….accomplishing the result is the win and that’s what the Dodgers did
That whole inning was a complete meltdown. It wasn't just one or two errors
You blind? 3 errors in 1 inning back to back is insane for a WS team. This aint the white sox. Even if the dodgers didn't capitalize off of any of them, I wouldn't care for Game 6 since it would be instant loss.
U cant admit that the dodgers scouting report was correct? Cmon
Im a big fan i love ur content keep going u going to make it out
We can wait another 15 years for the Yankees to make the World Series appearance.
But i appreciate your videos
I wish Francisco Lindor,Was a Yankee.Wonder if he becomes a free agent.
Unfortunately he won’t be a free agent anytime soon. He signed a 10 year extension with the Mets in 2021. I always said the Yankees should’ve signed him years ago. Mets won’t trade him at all and I doubt the Yankees move on from Volpe.
"Fat Joe... he with us" - Dodgers
I like Joe-Z McFly! New sub!
That’s on Volpe, a third baseman isn’t a 1st baseman who is used to scooping like that. No guarantee Chapman or Arenado make that pick. And for argument sake second baseman have to pick more bad throws than 3rd.
Excellent video Joez
I remember the Jeter years when the Yankees couldn't lose. After the 2004 ALCS collapse curse, Yankees can't win if they tried. That game five collapse was one of the ugliest, most pathetic collapses I've ever witnessed
Deserved too. Don't think I want to see either of these Aaron's with a WS ring/credit. Their attitude is fit for summer camp, not for competition. But I don't think they care because they got hefty paychecks either way. Modern sports babyyy
They will chalk it up to “oh we were One of the last two teams standing”
Cant say championship or bust my whole life and then perform like that when you finally get a chance to play for one after 15 years
Joe kelly wont stop talking
I didnt even know he was on the dodgers
