True, my heart broke for those two girls, when they said they wanted to be in the spotlight for once too. I get some group members are the 'visuals' of the group, but some groups take it too far and ignore their other members too much.
Every group has a member like that. In every group there is a member who is treated better or promoted more, but it's normal. If DIA members had healthy relationship between each other, they wouldn't say that. If they would be true friends, they would cheer for each other, just like TWICE are happy for each other and cheering for Mina right now, because she came back to stage, since she had social anxiety for a long time and was afraid of performing, but now she got better and decided to come back. And members are really happy about it. Same with BLACKPINK - Jisoo could be jealous of lines and screen time Jennie have, but she isn't. SNSD members also aren't jealous of Taeyeon's solos, lines and more. Those groups had healthy friendship between members and DIA members are jealous of Chaeyeon screen time, like wtf... I guess she is a visual, visual has most screen time, it's their work to be pretty and catch the camera xd

I agree with you though. DIA is a great group. Chaeyeon is beautiful and famous, but its not her fault in the beginning. Other member need more recognitions because they have so much talent. deja vu was one of the songs the koreans slept on the most. it didn't do well. they saw that and changed it up, now they've been crawling forward. i love badass girlgroup concepts and thought it really worked for them, but the charts seemed to disaprove. they have to do what sells or else they will r e a l l y flop and that would be so tragic for these talented girls. they still rock all concepts tho because that's what talented people do.
Dude the first two girls broke my heart, i'm not a DIA fan because their music is just not my cup of tea, but it's so true what they said, when i see something related to DIA, is always about Chaeyeon, even on hit the stage they sent Chaeyeon just to get a higher score instead of showing the other girl's true skills, that's so unfair, but is not Chaeyeon's fault, it's their company's fault for only promoting one member, like what's the point of having a group if you're only promoting one of the members?
S Korea is all about the aesthetics. Somi is a great example,some the lower ranking members debuted but she has yet to put out anything solo and the only stuff I've heard her featured in, her voice is touched up.....They will use the most popular/aesthetically pleasing member for their clickbaits/thumbnails/promotions. Chayeon has been on so many shows as a guest and majority of them she only says maybe 5-10 things the whole episode and on the episode of battletrip, she literally said nothing except just nod her head. So it's obvious she's not chosen to be on those shows due to her personality. I just hope chayeon doesn't feel at fault for her fellow members feeling this way because like you said, its not her choice. Would be nice if companies have each member a time in the spotlight/thumbnails but thats never gonna happen lol.
Sonamoo is such a group of talent and visuals. Such a shame Korea is sleeping on them. It's like 9 Muses. They have a brilliant discography, really pretty girls, loads of talents but it is like they are completely invisible....
I feel sad when Euijin was asked about the comparison between Sonamoo and Gfriend as both groups debuted around the same time, knowing that Gfriend is already popular and successful (I'm happy for them btw) but Sonamoo is still underrated although I believe they are as talented as Gfriend. Do you know there's a fanaccount who said that this was not just the whole performance of Euijin. Aside from Bubble Pop, she performed acapella and have individual dance. She was supposed to do her prepared dance "Crazy In Love" but the music director played "Run The World" by mistake. But she coped up with this confused situation and just danced to it freestyle. Rain and Taemin got impressed by her professionalism. She is cool. But KBS cut those parts which is such a shame. 😢

She was supposed to dance to a song by Beyonce and they played the wrong one and so she freestyled to it and she did acappella, but they edited it out because I'm assuming time consumption and also they didn't want people to know about their mistake. Some of the audience members posted about it on twitter I think and it was translated by someone.
DIA was such an amazing group, even if they were envious of chaeyeon it’s truly admirable how they (seemingly, we don’t personally know these groups) remained close friends at least that’s what we see and they have no reason to act friendly tbh after they disbanded even before their long hiatus before eventually disbanding, i think it was a truly unique group, definitely not the most successful but a lovely group nonetheless i wish them the best in their own solo endeavors
in term of dancing skills - Eunjin can compete with all other best dancers in kpop girl group she only need more experience and practices - her body & movements prove she was born to dance

Seriously, it's a slap in the face of DIA for them to open up and be emotional about how Chaeyeon (who along with Jooeun are my DIA biases) gets all the attention, and then just leave them out of the title! All the members of DIA and Sonamoo deserve better.

I'm so sad because I've been a fan of SONAMOO and DIA since their debut and they're so underrated. They're too talented for people to sleep on them. I was so glad Chaeyeon got popular because she did pull up her group's name. But also feel sorry coz when people talk about DIA it's always about Chaeyeon and not the actual group. I'm glad Yebin and Somyi are doing well on the show. I wish both groups get more recognition. They deserve it honestly.

She was supposed to dance to a song by Beyonce and they played the wrong one and so she freestyled to it and she did acappella, but they edited it out because I'm assuming time consumption and also they didn't want people to know about their mistake. Some of the audience members posted about it on twitter I think and it was translated by someone.

DIA was such an amazing group, even if they were envious of chaeyeon it’s truly admirable how they (seemingly, we don’t personally know these groups) remained close friends at least that’s what we see and they have no reason to act friendly tbh after they disbanded even before their long hiatus before eventually disbanding, i think it was a truly unique group, definitely not the most successful but a lovely group nonetheless i wish them the best in their own solo endeavors
