As a 'beginning' audiophile I ordered one yesterday. Also a pair of Meze Classic 99 headphones. Not the best headphones I guess, but already a big step up from my HyperX Gaming headset I was still using... I finally had the chance to experience the difference between open and closed headphones. Open is definitely better but not suitable for me right now because of.. well.. let's say I don't want to bother people around me when I crank up the volume.
Picked mine up today. Didn't have much time to try it out but I wanted to test it anyway. First impression: when listening to Qobuz I do hear an improvement. Also, with my Meze 99 Classics it does make the sound 'richer' and more detailed. Just haven't figured out everything yet, so for now, this is all i can say.... all I CAN SAY.... get it..!? 🙂
@@AskDaveTaylor bloom audio put the dc elite and kensei as the two best dongle dacs. They sell many brands. Ibasso Dc07 has the best specs on paper (Snr, distortion %, crosstalk, dynamic range, etc) and is considered the omega dongle (highest rated) from AndyAudioVault (donglemadness). He has on official dongle ranking list and has review and tested hundreds of dongle dacs. The hidizs s9 pro plus is the successor to the s9 pro which several reviewers gave raving reviews. I have a mojo 2 and my S9 pro plus Damn near matches it in sound quality for iems. But I decided to either get the Kensei or the DC elite.
Currently have the standard Ifi Go Bar - just wondered is it worth the extra outlay. I use Senheisser IE800 IEM’s with Snug custom moulded ear pieces which it and it sounds amazing. Used to have the Audioquest Red & Cobalt which the Ifi is simply in another league.

Would this great little gadget power Dan Clark audio E3 or Audeze MM500? Thanks for a great vid!
Not familiar with Dan Clark, but this'll work with any headphones so should work with those units.
Very nice. I was very interseted
Have you heard the ibasso dc elite, dc07, or the hidiz s9 pro plus? If so then can you give a quick comparison between the kensei and those?
I have not heard of either, actually. What's put them on your radar?

If you're happy with the gear you have, stick with it. 🙂
Hello work with playstation 5?
I don't actually know. I suggest you reach out to Ifi Audio support and ask them. Please report back here when you get an answer!
Nice toaster ❤
I am a fan of my toaster too, especially its ability to work with big slices! Thx for noticing. 🙂
