this was one of the rare episodes where the band went through a blazer change cause the show started with them in Orange blazers then they switched to blue in this show
I am searching for one tune from what I believe was featured on the Show, from March 3, 1974, the episode is "We Believe in Music" featuring husband and wife, Mary Lou Metzger, and Richard Maloof, in their duet, "Them There Eyes". Any help if you have it would be most appreciated! Thanks!
Would you happen to have the episode where Lawrence Welk pulled a woman from the audience to dance with him, and she was very hesitant to move? As she loosened up and danced faster, her wig flew off. I think it was a planned stunt, but was very funny.
I’m almost 100% sure andra Willis did not have a part in singing Bir mir bist du scheon, the voice only come from sandi and sally and also andra Willis did not get a solo during the song. Almost positive they just put her their so their can be 3 fabulous ladies
Maybe. I tend to think she is there at times singing the low harmony but this just mix her at a low level. Kind of like a few years later when Sandi sang lead, Gail was noticeable but Mary Lou was hard to pick out.
The one thing I don’t like about the 69-70 era of the show is that Lawrence always like doing the show pre-recorded. No live number is kind of boring after a while. I’m sure back in the day, nobody noticed, but I don’t know why the band would like miming the whole show
I can watch Arthur Duncan for hours.
Just loved sissy,s squeeky voice!!!
1960s then the1940s werent to far behind! Very genuine!
The late great Larry Hooper . A true southern gentleman.
Because Ed left a rock n roll legacy no one could have a music war against him like they could with Lawrence welk!!
You can tell by the members that it's the late 1960s!!

I'm just going to live in the 20th century.
Patriotic then america appreciated!!!
Wish there were more "new" "full/complete" episodes.
Some shows being posted don't go the full distance from one OETA logo to another.
Yeah I do to I miss it on pbs TV on Saturday night also but I wish they come back.
Would you have any more shows from the 1960s? The ones from the 60s are my favorites.
,Color came to TV in 1966...most folks don't have patience for black and white....they miss out.
A lot of the men smoked off stage and they are all gone now!!

I thought the same thing.
It’s definitely three-part harmony, She just didn’t get a solo in the number.

I am with you on that. It probably was not as obvious they were mining back in the day with the low definition television broadcast.
I think janet lenon once said in an interview that music was prerecorded because lawrence wanted the best sound quality to come thru.
Welk danced with Cissy ..... then he fired her ....
