Wowww!! All my life I've heard them several times; give and it shall be given unto you, cast your bread upon the surface of the water and it shall return to you, do unto others what you expect others to do unto you, etc etc. I understood them just by faith although sometimes I struggled with it. But with these analogies used here, the eye of my understanding is fully opened.

Love is the greatest sacrifice. As Jesus said, "Love your neighbour as yourself". Neighbour in this context does not mean just human beings but also extends to everything around you in this universe.
This is the greatest sacrifice that the universe acknowledges and will give back abundantly without any "pains"
