      You can call coyotes from a big yellow school bus as long as a lights in their face. Camouflage is completely unnecessary when hunting with lights as you’re not trying to fool their sight, you’re trying to take it away completely. Same thing a police officer does when he approaches a vehicle at night by putting a light in your face so you can’t see him is what we do to a coyote. You just have to trigger him with a call first. Plus NEVER EVER turn off your light when calling as that’s your number one advantage, plus you can’t see them with the light off unless you’re running thermal or night vision. And never get right next to an obstruction like a tree or something they can’t get behind. Gotta keep line of sight and keep the light in their face.

  • @jctedsap
    @jctedsap 2 роки тому

    I agree about the wind. Some years ago I had my best short session killing ground squirrels. They typically like warm calm conditions but this day was 15-25 mph wind. I was shooting directly into the wind with a single shot 17HMR. I nailed 47 with a box of 50 shells. With the wind they didn’t notice I was there and I could get within 50-75 feet on my golf cart. I wish every day was like that. Most times feel lucky getting a dozen or so per box of shells.

    By killing coyotes, hunters give an unnecessary foothold to species lower in the food chain, and nature responds by creating more coyotes to control those populations. Therefore, the go-to reason for coyote-killing is, in effect, a great reason not to kill them.

      I hear your perspective, I think the difference between where you’re from and have experienced and what we’ve experienced here first hand from what coyotes can do is where the difference is. There are many situations that warrant keeping the populations in certain areas in check. The only way you can understand that personally is to have lived here and experienced what kind of havoc they can cause, especially if you get a bad one that has free reign to do what he wants. You don’t see that there, but if you were a cattle rancher that depended on the cows you raise for your livelihood, it would make much more sense why we do what we do. It’s hard to convey that to someone who hasn’t seen it. I mean no disrespect at all, it’s just a reality anyone who’s ever experienced coyote problems first hand get. It’s not uncommon for some landowners to offer to pay us to get rid of them cause they want them gone so bad if that gives you an idea. There’s no real solution to the problem other than eliminating it all together in the immediate area.

    That jackass Big Al became a nasty foul mouth SOB Karen at me just over a comment of a Ruger rifle so I thought if a employee of FoxPro can act like that don't expect FoxPro service to be kind to a buyer of a Foxpro caller with problems.
