Absolutely beautiful build. Can't wait to try this out! The last couple years of you making videos has really helped me, CGB. I greatly appreciate everything you do. I'm in the Marine Corps, and I have some really long days.. some really bad days. Even if I have to miss your streams because of it, no matter what, I always have a video to come home and decompress to. Not to mention I would have never started playing MTG if it wasn't for you. Thank you so much for everything. You're truly the one in best of one.
Thank you for what you do out there, I've seen enough in civilian work areas to know that I can't imagine military. Thank you truly. And cheers to CGB for always being a great entertainer and card player
First comment after all this time watching your channel. I missed the count too. I wanted to make a script through the UA-cam Api to get the exact amount of videos watched but it's deprecated the option to get the history hahaha. In the moment in my house my wife and kids listen the music of the intro they put a face like "oh, your magic video time again"... Grateful for all your content and all this time "together". It's like we know in some way. Congrats for all the work and effort to get to this point in your career. Long live the dojo! ;)
Jeskai was the first color combo to bring me into the Tri-colors and I will never be disappointed in that decision to explore the Jeskai Way. Boros has always been my two color combo in the same way CGB loves Azorius however Jeskai has very powerful advantages with glaring weaknesses as well. Advantage of Jeskai: Powerful tempo swings and tempo control. Jeskai can either start strong, but keep just enough tempo to keep opponents on their backfoot or slow and controlling enough like any other control deck but quickly change the pace of the game. It's also extremely versatile and explosive. Impulsive spells of Red, unorthodox and direct removal of White and the control and draw power of Blue. Weaknesses? Too must versatility with too little impact. Skilled at many but a master of none, Jeskai when drawing the right cards for the right situation is almost impossible to respond to but when it falls flat, it falls hard. Much of Jeskai win-cons involve some level of combat based dmg more than anything and despite how flexible Jeskai is, colors with black have access to non-combat based win-cons that make it more difficult for Jeskai to respond to and pull a win if they cant get creatures to survive. All in all, a well rounded Jeskai Control deck for 2022 but pre Innistrad as well. It's very likely Innistrad may bring to the table more spells that fit well in this color combo.
Love the content! Always stick to the end ! We all have bad days.. but i believe you have more good then bad. Great content. The play queue.. I pick control mirrors all day. I don t have a problem , but I takes a lot of time.. and in my humble opinion control is better in best of 3.
Thanks for the sweet content!Watched until the end and regarding the winrate: this deck reminds me of a toned down eerie ultimatum deck. Was never something I was able to rank with, but that constant fight from one life to the win sure is fun.
dude, put up 10 games so far (7-3) and this deck is insanely fun and surprisingly powerful for the format. great job. contests the board pretty well early and can outvalue just about anything. very nice balance and use of underrated cards. i sometimes wish there was countermagic in the mainboard. ravens warning for the disdainful stroke can feel great but sometimes it isnt quick enough on the draw picking up the negate. im thinking of trying the negate mainboard and wishing for the Velomachus instead of the other way around, but that could easily be wrong, you're a much better deckbuilder than me. anyway, anyone who can build this without breaking the WC bank should do it, it's a blast.
My favorite combo with Raven's Warning is to run Omenkeel in the 2-slot. It really opens up a good curve that's strong against aggro but also keeps you from getting mana screwed unless they remove it.
@@gerardcabarse6670 Yeah I've had games where omenkeel completely dominates, and games where it gets destroyed pretty much right away. The problem at the moment is prismari command makes it pretty useless against Izzet Dragons. If you're running control that runs no counterspells one of the issues you have to deal with is blood on the snow which is extremely popular right now. So having a vehicle can give you a little persistence on the board in case they wipe and bring back a planeswalker. But... creature lands do that too so I dunno.
it only does it when theres a card in play that reveals/lets you look at a top card, otherwise with stuff like raven you have to click your library to be reminded whats on top, as well as anything you scry'ed to the bottom, unless the library was shuffled
Just learned that after you select the card to put on top, if you click on your library it shows it like you would expect. At least it worked for me, try it next time.
@CGB you stole my line.....every time I play a Portable Hole......I am shouting ' You into the hole at my screen' Just love you humor Keep up the great work
Nahh man the games presented were fantastic and showed the true fun raw control power the deck has. Content was great, few bad games after are nothin' in the run. 🤙
Nice one, boss! Stayed until the end and the only thing I would have changed.. well.. I would have probably put the Dragon in the side at this point XD
Need a Dimir or Esper control deck from you, brew! I love playing control and especially in these colors. Black has been awesome, orzhov has great control, dimir ditto but I’d love a good snow dimir control or esper snow control. Could be some very awesome content. Appreciate all the videos. Huge fan from PA here ✌🏽
Idk.. looting two playables with prismari to drawn two cards and eventually take back at sorcery speed seemed too tempo negative. Amazing that u made it work.
I'm fairly new to mtg and I've been learning a lot from your channel. I've made it to diamond 3 with one of your mono red decks but I can't seem to get any further. Is there a deck you could recommend that could get me to mastery but maybe is a little easier for a new player to learn?
Should probably put one copy of land destruction in the sideboard to deal with the excessive amount of man lands in the format. I've tried lithoform blight in esper with a lot of success, but jeskai seems like the better list with the ability to run prismari command to ramp
Hey man, I tried to do a jeskai control thing with Sigardas Splendor, new Teferi and Adult Gold Dragon... Also running Brutal Cathar/Skyclave Apparition and Borrowed Time and Burn Down T House and a single copy of Light Up T Night... I got up to plat! Any ideas to beef up a Jeskai build like that? If you feel like it how bout you make one of them bideos about it? Edit: I'm just recently getting back into magic, and I like ur movies!
Why is CGB dead at 36:25? I just see a 4/4 on the opponent's board and he has 8 life. I only see five lands not counting the Hall of the Storm Giants so the opponent may not necessarily be able to power it up, right?
At the end of the last game, you put Opus damage to face and tapped down the Lair of the Hydra. Why not instead wait for him to declare the attack and then direct 3 Opus damage to the Lair, block Lair with the 4/4 token, and then 2 damage from Prismari Command to kill the Lair?
Hi Cgb, I crafted this using all of my free to play wild cards I've earned over time. Went 0 and 7. I'd seriously like a few thousand gems as compensation for YOU de ranking me!
Absolutely beautiful build. Can't wait to try this out!

bro I used to watch other youtubers for deck ideas but yours are unmatched. You're really good at deck construction its awesome to see.
18:20 lorehold command with haste + lightning helix is lethal here lmao

Today I got into the Top 100. I watch your Videos every day and learned most from you! Just wanted to leave a big Thank You ❤️
Congrats on getting all the way up there!
This is one of my favorite decks I've seen you play in a while.
This deck looks so unbelievably fun, and I love as usual how its super budget friendly. But seriously I love control decks and this looks GODLY.
I loved this deck! Always nice to see some underplayed cards in action

Ravens warning is a very underrated card imo, I’d love to see it in more videos CGB.
My favorite combo with Raven's Warning is to run Omenkeel in the 2-slot. It really opens up a good curve that's strong against aggro but also keeps you from getting mana screwed unless they remove it.
I remember CGB being really amped on Cosima/Omenkeel when KLD was getting spoiled. I hope there's room for her in the next standard.
@@gerardcabarse6670 Yeah I've had games where omenkeel completely dominates, and games where it gets destroyed pretty much right away. This deck is a freaking work of art.
Shouldn't Arena be displaying the top card of the library face-up after selection for the 3rd chapter of Raven's Warning?
It definitely can do it and totally should imo
it only does it when theres a card in play that reveals/lets you look at a top card, otherwise with stuff like raven you have to click your library to be reminded whats on top, as well as anything you scry'ed to the bottom, unless the library was shuffled

30:35 a good war to think about that is if it's good you want it foretold. If it's bad you don't want to get it back
@CGB you stole my line.....every time I play a Portable Hole......I am shouting ' You into the hole at my screen'
Just love you humor
Keep up the great work
Nahh man the games presented were fantastic and showed the true fun raw control power the deck has. Content was great, few bad games after are nothin' in the run. 🤙
Love the content, always beautiful decks, keep it up cgb !!
CGB Jeskai control deck vs Sonio Mardu superfriends is a match i'd love to see!
Nice one, boss! Stayed until the end and the only thing I would have changed.. well.. I would have probably put the Dragon in the side at this point XD
Very interesting. Prismatic Command is a card I really need to craft. So clutch. I keep getting distracted by the new creature lands.
Need a Dimir or Esper control deck from you, brew! I love playing control and especially in these colors. Oh, always been curious what another take on Historic Jeskai would be, so this is cool to see.
Doesn't have enough Mizzix mastery to be historic Jeskai tho Kappa
@@caracatoacacepe I can't fucking write, I MEANT STANDARD LMAO
Idk.. looting two playables with prismari to drawn two cards and eventually take back at sorcery speed seemed too tempo negative. Amazing that u made it work.
thanks, good to see some "new" old control again.
Happy Friday y’all. Great deck

please show the stats! i don’t mind checking the description but i love your analysis
No breaks! No weakness! No surrender!
Thank you for the daily content!
Thank you CGB, you make work so much easier with a video every day for my lunch break. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.
Should probably put one copy of land destruction in the sideboard to deal with the excessive amount of man lands in the format. I've tried lithoform blight in esper with a lot of success, but jeskai seems like the better list with the ability to run prismari command to ramp
Lorehold command is a house that has been heavily underplayed.
Yes. Changing the sideboard was stupid.
Thanks for great content, even on an off day, the gameplay is top quality
What do people think of having a land in the side for raven's warning. For the games where you have spells but just want to hit your next land drop?
always love waiting untiil the end to hear cgb call me cool haha
That first game, true cardboard samurai!
game 1 was fire, I'd probably add one or two more creatures in there for blockers. 2 turns makes a huge difference in your curve.
Hahah cgb complaining talking about the 4th dragons fire just after playing the 4th ravens warning 😂😂 gotta love that shuffler!
Every day, soon after you released a video, I have to fight against some kind of budget version of your decks. It's kind of hilarious
Ahh reconstruct history. The first video I ever saw of yours was a reconstruct history deck.
I like the look of this deck CGB and your bad day is still better than mine! I am going to play and enjoy this deck down in lowly Plat :)
I'm really having fun playing with this deck! But damn dragons and Koma are really hard to handle.
The deck might not be the strongest but for sure is fun to watch with your commentary, I would be happy to watch another couple of hours
Wait... at 11:20 why did you not use portable hole for the flyer? Does indestructible not allow you to use portable hole on it?
The dojo cant have you taking a break. Covert go more 😈
Magma Opus is cool, I miss Inspired Ultimatum so much though.
Insane last game
Nice Deck, exited to try it out. 👍😁
wouldn't shark typhoon slot very well in this style deck?
Does this standard have cards that aren’t out yet or just remove cards that will leave by the time 2022 is here?

Edit: I'm just recently getting back into magic, and I like ur movies!
If I have learned anything, is patience! How many times have you come back with life < 3 and win?
As a Control Player your Life is just another resource to use.
What about enchantment and artifact creatures?
50:49 what a rime xD
Good job in that last game.
it's tough to build jeskai rn,
Wouldn't Showdown be better than ravens warning?
Even if you didn't have a good day, still great job on the vid CGB. Great last game, very close!
The rainbow of history at 33,25 looks pretty nice
Beated Temur 2 days ago, magecraft yesterday so I guess is time for jeskai now :-P un deck, not sure 4 raven's warning are necessary maybe 3 is better
What about jeskai dragons?
nice deck!!
At 46:00 I was expecting a Froghemoth.
So at the 13:22 was that a cut? Becuase that was fast
Sweet deck.
Why is CGB dead at 36:25? I just see a 4/4 on the opponent's board and he has 8 life. I only see five lands not counting the Hall of the Storm Giants so the opponent may not necessarily be able to power it up, right?
PUT A TASHA IN THE SIDEBOARD IT WINS GAMES AGAINST CONTROL MORE OFTEN THAN YOUD THINK
36:29 You should have made them have the land/Goldspan. If they didn't, you weren't dead.
Love it.
With the format being creature heavy now I hope this means werewolves will be good when they come out or at least stand more of a chance lol
Blue mage detected, he keeps uploading videos even though he says he is having a bad day, that is true force of will.
CKC! Stayed til the end!
Love it!
Hi Cgb, I crafted this using all of my free to play wild cards I've earned over time. Went 0 and 7.
I'd seriously like a few thousand gems as compensation for YOU de ranking me!
Not sure if troll or not but he literally says at the end of the video "I didn't win very much with the deck"
I really appreciate the standard 2022 content!
I'm so sick of eldraine..
Daaaamn, the first matchup opponent's draw was obnoxious ...
Regarding bad day - I think you just need to wash out the taste with some salt-making control...
So many interesting decisions. This looks like a super fun deck, but the amount of wildcards are prohibitive 😭
yay for slightly more janky content!
Watching this while I play Arena, enjoying the forced losses after I played 5 winning games.
Nice.
I like your calm dy shit talking, it's very pleasant. Hope you make more grindy decks were you siphon the lifeforce out of your opponents.
13:40 You forgot to scy
If rip apart was instant speed it would be ok. Not sure why it feels so anemic otherwise.
Please Covert .. a video with a super Deck Grixis Bolas .. ❤️🎉👊🏻🤩
Zero dislikes in an hour? This has to be some kind of record.
Sorry to see you have not much success with the deck. Hopefully, it was just another bad day, water under the bridge. great content keep it up! :)
No?
Yorion?🥺
Jeskai just makes me miss Narset
Spellbinder fear no reconstruct history it seems
clever
Reconstruct!!!!
Jeskai!!!!
Only I read it like ISEKAI HISTORY???
35:47 "why didn't they do that and just win the game?" Cgb asks as they literally just did that and won the game.
