The Isreali is my Go-to for the gym. They don't slip even without a headband (or slip only a little), are light enough to layer if you want, are absorbent and easy to wash. I rinse them out in the bathroom sink when I get home. The new colorful lurex ones means and easy mix with colorful gym wear. I love to make the chevron pattern that comes when you alternate the direction the metallic threads go (like Andrea has). I wish Wrapunzel also made these scarves in the rectangular size with a diagonal pattern. What fun you could have mixing them.
I’m hoping to make my first purchase soon (never wrapped before) and the all cotton ones are the ones I want most so this definitely helped so so much! Thank you for taking the time 💛💙🖤
@@raquelfreeman81 I just placed an order last night. I’m sure excited. But I’m not too confident in myself. I get the headband and scrunchie to start with. If this starts to become a thing for me then I’m going to try a shaper. (Limited funds but this is for my birthday) I hope you get to order soon 💛🙏🏻
I always say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I love wearing clothes that belong to different ethnic traditions. I think it's a great shame that this whole "disrespectful" thing has come in, and prefer to believe that it is honouring rather than the reverse. We should celebrate one another's cultures and share with one another. So I'd say, go for it!
Even if my occipital bone was a bit flat will the volumizer stay on my head with the velvet? Even the rubber grippy head bands slide off. My hair is extremely short though and I want to grow it out for the bun factor and for honoring G-d.
Hi, Marcia! Most of our volumizers have a hole inside of them to allow you to remove some or all of the stuffing. If you want to wear just a cap, consider buying our "Wendy" and removing all of the stuffing so that just the velvet headband and the fabric remains. www.wrapunzel.com/store/the-wendy-beret-volumizer/
Wrapunzel Ladies I was SO happy when I discovered this! I have an enormous amount of hair and my shaper bump was TOTALLY out of control! Like, for real, I looked a little ridiculous! So, I was all bummed over it because those suckers are not cheap! I thought I wasn't going to be able to use them. THEN I SAW the hole! Unpacked it and now it doesn't look like I'm smuggling an extra person into the movie theater. Lol.
Can a non-jewish person wear a volumizer and do multiple Scarf colors? Or is this only for Jewish women? I'm married and I miss wearing tichel even though it's not my main style for my head.
I wash them in a lingerie bag I bought at JoAnn's Fabrics (no association, disclaimer) on machine hand wash with Woolite. For those colors that might run, I put a Shout color catcher which keeps the colors from attaching to any other ones. (I'm a quilter & fiber artist, so I do what I do with new fabrics.) The only problem I have had is the sky blue I wore all the time in Israel, got a bit faded by the sun. I bought a new one recently, & I'll use the other for working out.
@@r0ckinr0byn2085 Do you mean you get hot in a scarf? I don't fully cover all of my hair, but having 1 or 2 set aside for working out (maybe made from a wicking/fast drying fabric) seems to work. It is usually a more simple style than may just be tied at the back of the neck and the tails/ties tied up or tucked in (depending on how long they are).
I'd like to order a signature shaper and several colorful scarves. I see you r scarves but not shapers. Please advise. Thank you so much for sharing these creative styles.
Not with the Israeli scarves--still too short. But they ARE wonderful tichelach, no question! (And I modify some of your ideas--like tying an oblong scarf really short on one side (3 of them, actually), tucking the short ends in completely, braiding the long ends and wearing it over the top.)
@@robinschwartz1275 I don’t. You put a sad face. So I thought you felt badly and I didn’t want you feeling badly. I was trying to make you feel better.
I have 2 shapers, one white and one brown (?), but I can't find a hole in either. I did order the Wendy, but where would I find the hole in the shapers?
They are so pretty and fancy! Love them.

Nice! Thank you awesome tutorial. Very nice yellow.
I bought the Treasured Israeli Tichel and have worn it 2 different ways. You reinforced my tying. Ty!

Me too. I love the looks that can be created in the videos I watched. It will be my first time wrapping. I'm hoping to by their volunizers on the 1st.

Where can I buy earrings like yours?
Is it disrespectful to wear a tichel if one is an unmarried outsider?? It's so beautiful!

I wish I could hire you to do mine for me. I love them, but I get twisted up sometimes doing them. They're beautiful on you!

I have long, thick hair and wish you would make the shaper, just as a cap, without any bun at all. Is such a thing in the making?

What helps for me is a stocking cap. I have locks, so I make a bun, put on my stocking cap, then I wrap my hair. These are great ideas.
@@luwandaartrelle4250 I cut my hair last year and donated it and am now keeping it chin length (or at least I was until started sheltering in place.)

Love your tutorials, although you seem to have a MUCH smaller head than I do. I can't use most of your ideas... :-(
Try the idea at the end with twisting it at the top! Hopefully it will work!
