Amazing music is timeless. 80s music was so good that even generations later, we and others are still listening to it. I just turned 57 and I enjoy this music just as much, if not more, because I appreciate how good we had it then and how great that music was, and still is. Brings back amazing and nostalgic memories.

This tune instantly takes me back to a freezing cold flat in South London in ‘84…..to be young, in love and in a magical place like the UK….it was UNFORGETTABLE….could’ve been a feature film!!!!

I saw the TT live in Ottawa Canada back in 1985 when I was 15 years old. They were simply amazing. I met them back stage and I was surprised at how gracious they all were. I was especially struck by Alannah Currie's good looks!

To those complaining about miming/lip synching etc....this show was Top of the Pops and very rarely allowed artists to sing/play live as they thought it would damage record sales as it would sound so different to the recorded version. Please watch this with that in mind. It wasn't just TT either...99% of artists in the 80's (except New Order...see Blue Monday...where they would only come on if they played live..record sales actually went down the next week!)

That's because their insistence on playing live resulted in a performance that was truly appalling
In my opinion TOTP went downhill when they were forced to sing live.
The actually didn't have the time for all the bands to do a sound check, easier to sing to prerecorded

Offutt Air Force Base (SAC headquarters), outside of Omaha, Nebraska, 1984. I would crank up this song on the tape player in my pick-up truck while driving down an empty stretch of highway with endless corn fields on both sides and an overcast sky above. To me it felt surreal. like I was in the clouds.

This song came on while I was in the grocery store during the strictest of COVID lockdowns and it was an absolute life saver! I was with difficulty trying to navigate the one-way aisle arrows (I forgot the eggs...fuck! Should I walk backwards? Do I have to leave and come back in again?) and was feeling lost in a dystopian present when I heard Doctor! Doctor! over the store's speakers and it immediately transported me back to 1984 and a sense of normalcy. The power of music! Thanks, Thompson Twins!!!

83 to 85 were the golden years of the 80's, nothing before or after compares to the quality of the music from then. Although some people would prefer the late 80's, with all the House, Indie and dance music that took up the charts during that time.

Being an 70's - 80's kid, I obviously have favourites from those era's, I also had pet hates and this was one of them, but after years of hearing crap on the radio, this sounds so refreshing.

Live도 들어 봤는데, Tom Bailey의 가창력, 음악에 천부적 재능, 멤버들의 연주실력. 어느 하나 빠지지가 않네요. 그 당시 좀 더 많이 알았으면 좋았을 걸, 그리고 지금은 멤버들이 해체가 되어서 Tom Bailey 혼자 활동한다는 게, 많이 아쉽습니다. 80년대 10대 시절이 많이 그립고, 그 시절로 돌아가고 싶네요. 진정 80년대가 팝의 전성기가 아니었나 생각됩니다. 한동안 80년대 시절로 돌아가 심취돼 있었네요. 좋은 곡들 남겨 주신 Thompson Twins, Tom Bailey 감사합니다.
My aunt had a flower pot as a decoration, it has reddish colour cords, hanging on it, I finished it. My aunt was asking where it had gone, i was using it as an extensions, so i could look like this guys. 😂, I finished the whole flower pot with beautiful cords hanging on it. 😂
