@@xcrewx2 Not really, look at Ruler, the man has been on an upward streak ever since he debuted, counting the influence of versions on ADCs. Just look at him in S8-S9, he was practically one man carrying GenG. Perhaps his biggest issue is that he's a perfect template of the Korean ADC now, and I don't see him making plays like that flash forward onto Faker in S7, but it may be more a thing about the meta than anything else.

@@Gibbysaurio In terms of mechanical prowess no one overshadows JKL. The amount of games where he solo carries is insane. He's also had to play with a long list of mediocre or outright horrible supports on teams that don't play towards bot and is still able to pull off all kinds of crazy shit that he should have no right pulling off (compare this to Ruler, Viper and Uzi who have had junglers pathing/camping bot for entire games for the majority of their career). This is something that no Western analysts ever talk about for some reason. Also this is one of the first years where he's actually had a decent support, which is why everyone is saying JKL looks 'more consistent'.

LS doesn't really hate on lpl MUCH. Whenever he's asked about it he just says he can't have an opinion because he doesn't watch it. He does dislike their playstyle for being really volatile though.

I think the whole thing is LS jizzing while saying nothing just for content/persona reasons, and to get the 'OOh LPL' response he's getting. You could copy the audio/cam, over any random oment and it'll apply because he's not even talking about what's happening, just blind jizz.
people keep saying jkl or theshy are coinflip players. BUT THATS what makes them. being a consistently good player will not make you the worlds champions. you need to be extraordinarily good. YOU NEED TO PUMP OUT THE DAMAGE AND win the team fight. IF you have the mechanical skill to go into the front line, dodge everything, you will do way way more damage than sitting in the backline.

The way he pilots zeri is almost pixel perfect spacing and looks extremely smooth and is rarely done to this perfection and hard to see and understand when you are not super experienced watching league

JKL being a more consistent ADC version of TheShy is a better way to look at it probably. Both mechanical gods who, at the peak of their powers, are arguably the most mechanically talented players in their position ever and love dancing on the edge

No hate intended, but the way he doesnt point out what from the fight he finds so impressive just goes to show that there is nothing all that impressive, he just runs with a lulu on his side, auto attacks and gets speed bost from his passive, the most impressive thing is how he lands the W on lucian but him diving forward is just a question of confidence because he has a lulu and 2 front laners, I dont know if this is some kind of meme or joke because in this same series he then went on to missplay a couple fights sadly but I genunely see nothing special here and the comment about synapse adcs would want to do this is kind of out of place specially when half the adc plays on synapse are more impressive than this taking into account they dont have a premade support who is a proffesional player and who is in comms with them. Again no hate intended but this is more of a Zeri + Lulu moment rather than a JKL moment, there is nothing mechanically challenging about this play. And I find it crazy that LS was talking about him not playing from ahead, he is literally full build with a lulu on his side, he IS playing from ahead at this point in the game maybe not in the fights before but in this one he is.

Yeah I was a bit more impressed when uzi was 1v9’ing every perfectly spaced auto in the game than zeri doing zeri things.
yeah, thought it was just me. Ruler on zeri looks the same as JKL on zeri so idk. The only thing he was dodging(?) was morg q and that's not spectacular for pro players ..

I play ADC, the movement here really was insane. The auto-spacing vs Renekton is s*** that I do in practice tool to warm-up, then after that he actually just glides on the rest of JDG. He literally pulled a RatIRL on a top level Esports team lol.

I mean you literally have to move your mouse much more than what you would be doing on a normal adc. It's 8-1 but most of the time its in the finals because of region cannibalism in quarters and semis. Not saying they aren't stronger, just saying the stats are kinda not of great use without looking at the teams themselves

LS knows that the LPL is a strong region, he doesn't need to see a single picked out play of a single player in a single game of a BO5 to know that.
The reason why he doesn't watch LPL is not because he thinks LPL is bad, but because he is not interested... and just because of a single play that he watched he won't suddenly start watching the whole LPL region, that makes absolutely no sense...

I mean, it seen in this fight alone JKL made 22k damage. That's more damage some adcs do it in the entire game. Just to compare, i remember G2 vs Suning in worlds group when Perkz made 10k damage in one fight with Ezreal and was a big deal.

What am i seeing is really good kiting but other then that... Idk
Because it's perfect kiting and he's hitting all his skillshots / abilities along with perfect spacing
He specifically said "for an ADC", which is an important distinction to make as most ADC champions have a very different kind of mechanical display possibilities than for example mages, assassins or bruisers...
And what he meant by that was the perfect use of each and every ability available to him, to both deal the most and take the least amount of possible damage in this whole sequence. Imagine how difficult it must be to be aware of the exact position of every single champion in the enemy team and to then space perfectly against all of them at the same time, to not get hit by a single ability (apart from the small misplay where he stepped a little bit too close to renekton so he got stunned which was inconsequential in the end anyway)...
I just watched the sequence in slow-motion and there are many small things to consider that you will probably miss watching it at normal speed. Like for example how he dashes into the gap between the Nexus turret and the nexus, dodges both the Morgana Q and the Nami bubble and outtrades Lucian all at the same time. Or how he always goes forward to weave in a single basic attack on an enemy champion to deal maximum damage. Or how he always perfectly switches targets between champions and minions to both dps and waveclear during the fight. Or how he managas to hit Lucian with his W which causes him to go to GA, so he cannot follow-up on the Renekton engage. Or how he does this whole teamfight without having his ult ready. So he does not have the main thing that makes Zeri busted in Lategame teamfights, which is her ultimate and he still deals absolutely bonkers amounts of damage and does everything as perfectly as he possibly can...
There are so many little things in this sequence... And considering all of this happened while being 10k Gold and an Ocean soul behind is completely crazy.
I recommend watching the sequence in Slow motion to pick up every little detail, otherwise its almost impossible for a normie like you and me...

I do not understand what's so outstanding about this play. I'd assume LS is amazed by spacing since he means mechanical gameplay. But then JKL proceeds to step into Rene W range for no reason, the play in total wasn't bad but for some reason I have a feeling that I've seen something like this(or better) multiple times

Man I even watched it through at .25x speed and the most impressive bit was when he was kiting around the nexus and leaps back in over it. Everything else is so bog standard, hitting the closest thing (that thing getting polymorphed every 4 seconds)

Nah the best mechanical adc display that I have seen in a single play or sequence was when Sneaky flashed/jumped into the team at baron pit on tristana and killed the enemy AD

He wasn't fast. He wasn't nimble. He had less damage available to him. And he still dodged everything and dealt 22k damage with a 10k Gold deficit for his team and against an ocean soul, without dying. You really wanna tell me, that's "normal"?
I mean ultimately you can argue about it being "the best play from an ADC ever" as probably none of us have seen every single play there ever was, but it comes really fucking close if you're honest...
Go watch it in slow-motion and look at every single little detail JKL does in this whole Teamfight sequence, maybe that will change your mind. How he weaves basic attacks, waveclears, uses his W and E to absolute perfection, dodges multiple skillshots, while being under threat of getting blown up at any second if he oversteps his boundaries, how he manages to dodge both a Nami bubble and a Morgana Q at the same time while outtrading a turbofed lucian in close-range combat, how he manages to hit his W onto a Lucian and get him to his GA before Renekton engages, so Lucian cannot follow-up and kill him.
Its literally played to absolute perfection. And as I already said, all of this was without Zeri's ultimate and without neither flash nor cleanse ready.
Bro... He dodged like 2 morgana qs, ran away from a slow Renekton with a Lulu MS and AA buffing him the whole time along with his MS build up.

Bang is the most underrated ADC in history. This man made Ezreal feel different. And people have the audacity to say he was mediocre lol.
I just watched the Viper scene, but the thing there is that its not really that mechanically amazing for an ADC play when measured on a professional level... he has tons of chakrams because of his great ult beforehand and instantly deletes the first player with a Galeforce to get in melee-range so he is in a melee-range 1v2 with a million Chakrams...
from this point on he kind of needlessly flashes behind Tian (there was nothing he flashed away from, as Tian and Crisp were just AAing him at this point, they had already used all their CDs earlier), which he could've maybe done earlier to actually dodge something with his flash, and then he just melee range AAs Tian and Crisp who are both out of abilities to use.
The impressive thing with JKLs play is his immaculate spacing, dodging and DPSing all at the same time throughout the whole fight... Viper didn't really do any of that. He just went into melee range and basic attacked 2 sitting ducks (Its exagerated obviously, but I think you get the point).
rng vs fnatic 2018. uzi had 300 cs at 25 mins in a losing matchup. Rekkles didn't even make any mistakes but uzi was insane
This is such an overreaction. Like only engage on him was from renekton who even got him in W so he not spaced that out of range + he Q backwards in one frame...
I think there are way better mechanical plays in history.
And he is ahead. He is full build when enemy jungle mid and supp missing item. With anyone else he is even at best but not behind to anybody.

The point is the detail... the pinpoint perfection in mechanical display of JKL during this teamfight. His spacing, basic-attack weaving, wave-clearing, dodging, trading and perfect knowledge of the limits he could take during this fight, without his ultimate and without flash or cleanse, while not getting hit by a single skillshot and dealing 22k damage (i repeat, without his ultimate against an ocean soul and 10k gold deficit of his team).
That is the point here... I hope you get it somewhat now.

kidding aside isn't this more confidence and clutch factor than anything else? sure sometimes he looks utterly bad and inting, but his mindset going into plays like this is i think primarily what he's valued for - it's his play that won IG Worlds after all

He didnt even captain jack the renekton stun and missed multiple zeri q's on free targets and even once Q'ed backwards. This play is fine its decent but to me its 7/10. So much frames were missed and movement was not exact, he even E dodged the morg Q when it wasn't even going to hit him. decent play but high key its mid tier. Any GM plus AD will call this play mid.
I mean those were some decent mechanics, but that wasn't close to insane. He just autoed and was barely under fire with Lulu peeling for him perfectly. E dodged 1 skill shot then just p normal pro play mechanics. JKL is insanely good though, this isn't even in his top10 best plays

Cant rly compare soloq games to pro games when the mindset of pro players in soloq is completely different. One adc might be focusing perfectly and the other is tilted out of their mind after a loss streak / tired / whatever. Where as on stage both will be giving it 100%

He is dodging skillshots, trading damage, waveclearing, spacing almost perfectly and baiting his enemies all at the same time... If he had made 1 single little misstep or wrong decision, he would be dead and the game would be lost for his team.
He was constantly threatened by the enemy's morgana, nami, lucian and Renekton and still managed to put out 22k damage over the whole fight and survived... its astonishing.
And just as a sidenote, he did all of that without his ultimate and without his flash or cleanse as all of those were on CD at the time. the only thing he had was QW and E and his mouse-clicks...

I'm here just to laugh about some of the comments.
I don't see why this play in particular is so sick. I've seen pretty much all of the top ADCs utilize Zeri to this extent. He only has Renekton as a threat on him, who gets Lulu W'ed three times in the fight, so he's not really a threat, especially at 40 minutes and when you have GA.
He dodged two Morgana Q's, which missed before being dodged anyway and the rest is just casual Zeri kiting. Someone would argue that getting in stun Renekton range was a mistake as well.
