The thing is theres parts like toto which arent "the best" roles and I'm betting the person might have been disappointed in their role but there's people who can milk roles even when they don't love them and as my director always says..THEY MILKED IT. Toto carried the show and always showed emotion even without having like no lines
In the 1903 stage musical, Toto was replaced by a cow, Imogene, played by Fred Woodward (who originated many animal roles in later Oz productions). One bit of stage business that is known is that Imogene kept trying to eat the Scarecrow (Fred Stone), who would bat her off nervously. Of course, to say that Woodward milked the part of the cow would be a very Baum-like pun, so I of course will not say it.

I watched this last year at school and it inspired me to do the musical this year (which is Mary Poppins) and I'm so excited!
Watching this 1 year later! I was in the ensemble! This was an amazing experience, and I hope to see the next musicals at Rotolo!
