The constitution is fine the way it is. the politicians of the branches of government must obey the rule of law. changing the Constitutions is illegal and all laws made outside the powers delegated is unconstitutional acts, and has no authority.

I am also very frustrated with this guy. He does not understand the relationship between symptom and root cause. Everything he talked about was a symptom. The root cause is that Americans expect Congress to take actions that they should not. They don't understand where legislation should be originating. The only laws Congress should be making are those necessary to ensure our rights are protected, keeping things consistent among the many states, and ensuring the overall thriving of the Union. Anything besides that, should be at the state level. If he wants to cure his symptoms, he should be petitioning state governments.
Congress is like the Fire Department. We pay them to a job that we hope they never have to do. The less they do, the better things are going. And yes it is difficult for things to progress at that level, which is by design. When they do things, they have an impact felt far and wide, and those things should not be so easy to do.
AND FOR GOD'S SAKE.... GIVING THE PRESIDENT MORE POWER IS NOT THE ANSWER. The answer is to stop asking Congress to do things they have no business doing. Stop allowing the Supreme Court decisions to be seen as sweeping legislation, and tell the president that his job is to sign constitutional laws, vito unconstitutional proposals, and feel with foreign leaders.
    RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION!

an ineffective government is the ideal kind, our government is ineffective and slow by design. it is just one aspect that helps restrain a government from causing a total disaster for the people. Also it's only ineffective as the things it was never meant to be involved with, and you would only call it so if you expect a government to provide as a welfare state all kinds of services and such. Well our government was never even designed to collect taxes outside of fees for the few services it offered really, let alone being the massive hindering parasite to the productive capacity of of people everywhere on earth either directly or indirectly that it is today. It has expanded its power through economic controls that has allowed the government to bypass constitutional constraints and grow to effect nearly everything by regulation, restriction, fine, permitting, or fee, while getting the ability to pick and choose winners and losers in the economy for all the money it spends given to those in government who pick the contracts to spend on out of the private sector for everything the government needs or does.

I get it, why they are negotiating by adding and/or removing things in each bill, but I also don't like that they lump it all together as I want to see how members vote on each item. I think what happens though is they stick each other's feet in the fire by saying, "ok, I'll give you this, if you give me that" is the reason they are lumped together, cause otherwise, they won't pass "this" unless they add "that". This is why I think Trump was such an amazing president cause he is very good at getting what he wants cause he is an expert negotiator as he can see what is important to the other person and uses his own power to either "threaten to take it away or help them attain it" (whatever the "it" may be). I would still like to gain a consensus of how people would vote on the items individually, and then only if necessary lump things as needed if this is the only way to make a deal.
P.S. I think this is also why we wouldn't be having these problems with Russia, as Trump would contact Putin and try to come up with a way we both are happy, but Trump always will come out ahead cause he knows how to "deal" that these are your 2 options either you agree to take my deal or this is what is going to happen (which is far less). It why Trump is the ultimate businessman

Our modern law makers have the attitude of rules for thee but not for me. They mostly allow themselves to be above the law with no real accountability. Since most legislators see the mutual destruction of themselves, we see all bark and no bite theater in congress. The swamp has rendered our country weak and almost to the bottom of the slippery slope. Now we can add voting issues that take away a major check and balance.

I think there should be a test administered to people who want to "restore the Constitution" by asking them to name ONE state enforces "make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts"? As far as I know there is not even one which means all fifty states violate this very clear provision.

When God is invited into a situation solution, the wisdom is far more powerful. That is why the constitution has turned out to be such an amazing workable document. I say leave it alone. We need to look at the changes that have been made and screwed up our living situation. We have lost power, equality and justice. In the beginning there were changes in man's prior ways of thinking and the constitution was the document that began that change. It is not the fault it was the solution!
