- Why I LOVE Yakuza: Like A Dragon
With the release of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth only days away, I wanted to revisit the previous entry, and my personal favorite in the series, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, and talk about why I love this game so much.

He sold me fent
You weren't supposed to tell anyone
This stuff got me like a dragon with its infinite wealth
Realest comment I’ve ever read
Wait... Like a Dragon Gaiden? The man who erased his name?
Did you sing The Song of Life? Or did you lost your judgment?
Wtf. Insane editing and Kasuger litterally me 🤔
No, I’m literally Ichiballs
Amazing video man great job you really put all my love for the game into words that i can't describe it myself, i 100% the game and loved the gameplay even over the previous games and ichiban is the best thing that happened to refresh the series, it really changed something in me by the ending that not a lot of games do
Thank you for your kind words! I agree with you, Ichiban I think is the perfect character to replace Kiryu, I’m super excited for Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth to see how his story would continue to unfold.
I really like how they made Ichiban go through the same things as Kiryu did in yakuza 0 and 1 while everything was different at the same time, as well as his arc regarding the final villain and how he managed to save Masato in the end, even though he died as a result of his actions and mistakes. Ichiban did it, he saved the people he love in ways that he could and even failed some time, but still managed to be the hero he was.
The ending to this game I think really sets the tone for Ichiban in the future. I'm so excited to see how he'll be in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth!
@@chipdips Yeah, Like he did lost things he beloved and decided to protect what he still had in his own way. And now he can again bond with someone he thought he didn't have, being the man he discovered he could be.
Great vid! Subbed and looking forward to more Like a Dragon content 🙏
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the support!
Infinite wealth is gonna be so peak
I agree
Great video, dude! It took me a minute to get into Like A Dragon, but once I was hooked, I WAS HOOKED. Game is amazing, the gameplay and story are just mwah. I’m very excited for Infinite Wealth, it looks like it’ll be a great time.
Agreed! I have never really played any other RPG game, so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the turn based combat in this game. I love this game to bits. Really excited for LAD:IW
I cant say its my favourite, but like a dragon is one of my favourite games in the series maybe its in the 4th place for me
looking forward with infinite wealth
Kiryu will always be my favourite but I adore Ichi. Both of them are incredibly kind, goofy guys but Ichiban is much more open and optimistic, where Kiryu is reserved and awkward. RGG are so good at writing memorable characters that really feel human. Great video, dude.
I adore both of them very much. I agree with your points here too! Thank you for watching!
3:28 happens to me all the time
this series is like a dragon but you need infinite wealth to buy them all
The one thing Ichiban and Kiryu have in common is they're both idiots ;)
I think one of the reasons Kiryu was so hard to replace is because he never seems to learn that helping out random weirdos on the street isn't going to end well. Akiyama, the first planned replacement, was a bit too smart for this and they attempted to substitute his money lending side stories for the weirdo content... and Judgment used detective cases in much the same way... but neither scratched the itch as well. Ichiban was the first one who you could see never learning the lesson.
Warmaker hitting like fucking truck !!! Damn good vid
A goated track for sure! Thank you for watching!
Like a dragon was my second game after 0 and first yakuza platinum! I love the game and Ichiban!! The only minuses i have: is not so balanced jrpg (my opinion which sucks) but who cares it's still enjoyable. For second minus is after completing all achievements i wanted more!! But yeah my favourite
I agree, there are parts of the RPG game that feels a bit unbalanced, but I haven't played enough RPG games to really know about balancing turn based combat. From what I can tell in the demo of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth though, I think they've improved the combat enough to see a noticeable difference. Thank you for watching the video!
This is the Infinite Week!
Yes it is! I'm so excited!
this guy touched me in a walmart
Bro
Did you play all the prior games before this one?
Yakuza 8 is gonna be lit and awesome long game can’t wait for it
Me too! I've already pre-ordered the game to give my first impressions on this channel when it comes out!
Same I pre ordered it as well but I can’t even play it too long due to having work early in the morning
@@grimreaper9638 Good luck for work and I hope you still can get enough time to play the game!
I just beat this game and while it's really good, I personally found the turn based combat (whilst good) much less engaging and fun than the brawler combat of the other games. (for example i just finished LAD and am playing through gaiden and it is a GIANT breath of fresh air). the story is fantastic and ichiban is phenomenal (not better than kiryu yet just due to that history, maybe after 4-5 ichiban games he'll surpass him in my mind.)
The turn based combat of this game is definitely something that I had to get used to as well. While I still had a lot of fun with it, I do agree that it is a little less engaging. I think with a couple changes, the turn based combat can be a lot more engaging to play. From what I've played in the Infinite Wealth demo, I think they added a decent amount to the combat to make it more engaging, especially when it comes to positioning. Kiryu is still able to turn the game into the brawler too, so that's pretty neat HAHAH.
I personally have Ichiban as my favorite character because of how inspired I feel from watching him go about, but I do agree that Kiryu has more history. I hope RGG puts a show on for what seems to be Kiryu's final game in the franchise, and I am excited to see how they will continue the legacy of Ichiban.
Ichiban kasuga is my goat🔥
Real
