If you going to plant Milo you got to plant it in late April are the first week in May. Here in La. we will cut around 100 bushel per acre. You can’t let a lot of rain fall on it cause you will get a lot damage. We only plant it where we have a lot of deer. It’s not a crop that all make you a lot of money but it helps you with rotation!! Good luck buddy!! Be safe!!😁🙋🏼♂️👍
One of the things I enjoy about your Dad is that he's always teaching and that's a major part of farming. Hey Granny!! Merry Christmas, be nice for Daniel you give you a cameo???
A pick and pair of vice grips are the most valuable tools for working on a sprayer. I wear a leather plier pouch on my belt. You can carry a small pair of vice grips and a 45 degree pick on your belt. It is very handy, especially in a pinch.
Daniel watching this brings back so many great memories of working with my father. You handing the tools and bolts was something I did many a times. I wish my father was still here so cherish these times like this you have together. Tell Granny Hi.
I “worked” with my dad, more of a hinderance than a help in the early years, mum was grateful for the break though. As you say, eventually you cherish the time, the information, the wisdom the patience but that comes much later.. now have a tearful eye.
That’s rough Milo down at Blackwell’s! So sorry you didn’t get the rain! That such a long haul for you guys! I hope you got some Hancock’s BBQ out of the deal!!
I grow sorghum every year. Feed my chickens and make syrup. Of course I'm a small farmer. It sucks to see that. Next year hopefully alot better for y'all.
Good morning Daniel and granny...and everyone else, for that matter. I don't remember if you said anything about the chicken soup you applied to one of your fields. How was the harvest?
We used to grow milo in North Alabama, and we could never keep the black birds out of it to last that long in the field. How are y'all keeping birds out of it? I enjoy your videos!
Daniel, when you get a chance can you explain the differences between a cotton stripper and a cotton picker? I’ve seen some videos of the stripper in West Texas and I think they are 12 rows? I checked and Deere makes both currently. It looks like the picker is way more complicated but it also looks like the stripper does a good job, why the different machines?
Cotton here is higher quality than out in Texas so the uses for both states cotton is used differently. Here most of ours are used to clothes. Theirs seem to be used for things that has cotton in it but not quality dependent. Also a picker just picks the cotton out of the boll, a stripper takes about everything so their cotton has a lot more trash in it compared to a picker.

watching Dad repair that ceramic seal reminded me of how my dad and I would work on stuff when I was a boy. Dad would ask for a wrench and I would hand it to him. sometimes it would be the wrong one and he would bark at me to pay attention. If he got frustrated I might receive a cuff up side the head. fun times just not for me..
This last summer was bad for all of us in agriculture. Keep plugging away my friend this next year promises that be better. Give the family a hug and happy holidays.
Hope you are retaining all your Dad is teaching you!!! He is a very smart man!
Tough luck on the lack of rain. Good morning from Oklahoma Granny.
It is good to see a father & son working so well together.

Your dad ( it's ceramic, it's like breaking your mommas dishes) he's hilarious 😂
I have found that a dentist's pick works very well for things like O rings.

Good morning Granny!
Always heard milo's super power was drought tolerance. Debunked.......

How many families does this farm support?

How does everybody know granny? I've watched countless trf videos and have never seen anything of her.
She comments a lot in the comment section and we interact with her a lot
the pump impeller looked half wore out, probably should have replaced it while it was apart
Did y'all keep the case
Good morning Granny
If Milo was that bad then corn might have been a disaster too. Farming is that way. You have the right attitude Dan! Get what you can and move on.
Hey Daniel, if you need lubrication on those ceramic seals use dish soap only
Cut it and bail it for grinding for feedlots or dairy
Hey, grab a spray can of the John Deere Window Cleaner. It works really well and not too pricey. Our detailers at all our stores uses it.

Yep mine thinks you’re the dumbest idiot in the world and he’s the only one that’s ever had a good idea🤷🏻♂️🤣
Good Morning Daniel and Granny.
Thx for the video.
Morning Granny
👵👋
Mornin.
Curious why you don’t leave the fenders on all the time
Expensive and those are made to help from damaging the crop and since everything is cut now you don’t want to tear them up

Daniel, always enjoy these little moments of time together it doesn't get any better than that. keep up the good work
Good morning Granny hope you have a blessed day,
