The crowd with all the mushs in Elderine is maybe the thing that I miss the most today ... there are all in Uruga but no one talks and it's full of Lv.105+ so they don"t want to talk to you because you're a poor Lv.60 without a decent stuff +10.. sadness xD

It’s 2022 and I woke up with this playing in my head this morning, had to come back and listen again. Still missing Fiesta online and how magical it all was.
During those few hours I got to try out Fiesta for the first time, in the summer of '08, I actually ran into a pretty big problem. I'm new to the MMO genre and am honestly pretty overwhelmed by everything. I'm running around exploring, when I die in an area I shoudln't be in. I think it was Forest of Mist, while I was still like level 10 or lower. For some odd reason, I'm respawned in Elderine. At this point, I don't know where I am, theres a bunch of mushroom houses and people running around, and every warp gate I take leads me to areas where I get 1 hit killed. Confused and unsure what to do, I very clumsily try typing, asking for help. Some level 20 or 30 guy shows up and asks me whats wrong. I tell him I don't know how to get back to roumen and everywhere I go I die. Of which he gives me an item, free of charge. a 'Return Scroll' to Roumen. They aren't worth much, and are a relatively common drop, but it was a very kind thing to do. And, well, I still remember it 11 years later lol.
I remember walking to Elderine the first time, looking around, being amazed at the city and how gorgeous everything was. Listening to the music, and enjoying my time. Then walking to the trade district / main district and my computer giving up on me. All those people, THE LAG.

Fastforward to January 2009, and we finally have internet, as well as my own laptop. The first thing I did was make an account on that cool video website my brother showed me that summer as well, something called 'UA-cam'. The second thing I did was look up Fiesta Online, and download it. It wasn't a perfect game by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a fucking fantastic introduction to MMO's. Of which is still my most played genre to this day. Sadly, nothing quite hits the same notes Fiesta did, and lord knows if I had a time machine, I would without a doubt use it to play this again back in its prime.
Within the 1st five notes of this music washing over you, and you know "you've arrived" at the center of Fiesta. Hearing this brought back smells, flavors, textures, and mushroom huts. Back in late 2007, I had just lost my girlfriend when my 23 yr. old son said, "hey dad, check out this cool game online, called Fiesta". It was just what the "Lonely hearts doctor" ordered! I was hooked. When it came time to graduate up to Elderine, it was he who escorted me there. Wow was that an experience. I played for about 2 years on both Epith and Bijou servers, I believe they were. My toons were mainly, "Teflon", "Coral", Paper Boy" when there were still only 4 classes: Mage, archer, warrior, Cleric. Sure do miss the community feeling, and wasting Mara every time I ran through her zone.
Man.. I really miss playing on the EU server Bijou. It's a shame that I lost my account... Sometimes I still think about all my friends and the fun times we had together. I wonder if they remember me. I even still have excel files of our guild with all the boss drops and our point system. This game was my childhood, I played it for so many years when I was younger. I really miss those times and I wish I could still talk to my friends from back then :/
Every few years or so I find myself coming back to this video, reminiscing about the good times I had when I was a kid playing this game. Hearing the soundtrack or Roumen and Elderine will never fail to make me smile like a childish idiot. The last time I was on this video was 2015. Now it's 2020. When future me comes back to hear this song and reminisce about our younger self playing this game. I hope he is happy and enjoying and loving his life to the fullest. Future me, continue having the spark and happiness you had while playing Fiesta back in 2008. And as for Fiesta, thanks for the memories and thanks for making my childhood amazing. Continue living on in the rest of our hearts :).
Man the memories of Bijou are still fresh to me, I had such an awesome time with this game in the late 2000’s. I think I started when the cap was 89 and it was probably the best intro to MMOs I could’ve had. I played for years and only got to like lvl 85, until right around when the card system began then I transferred to Selesnia (arguably the best pserver that ever existed) for a time until they were forced to shut down. I miss hanging out in 4x abyss with my perm 56 man. All I can say now is I hope all those awesome people I met in those times are still doing well. It’s a shame to see the husk that remains of the game but the memories we have are the best.
I used to love Elderine I remember the first time i walked in it was so busy with mushrooms and shops everywhere i played this since 2007 i was with the Guild Terrorhawks if anyone remembers I had two Characters my Warrior was Lvl 79 and my Cleric was Lvl 60 i used to sit up to 4 am in the morning playing this.
I remember when I entered Elderin for the first tine ever and this Music played it felt so epic entering this city with the whole theme and graphics. It wa sky first mmorpg and moving to next major area was so epic and unique
brings me back to the days when my potato pc could barely load eldering at 20 fps. Good times man, back when the servers were always full pop, loads of dancing and buffs, and power leveling
Whenever I play a new game now, I always have a stream or other music playing. Back then when I played fiesta I always had their bgm on, fully focused on the game...maybe when a new MMO comes out I should play the game with no other "interruptions" become the nostalgia I get from fiesta bgm is unlike any other
I think Elderine holds the most special place in my heart. It's where I spent most of my days once I began really learning how to quest, buy and sell, etc.

I remember first walking into Eldrine. It was sooo crowded. Mushroom shops everywhere! And it was my first mmo so it left quite an impression on me.

Hold Shift + Z to hide all other characters. Worked well for solo players to get rid of lag

2020 and I still miss Fiesta everyday a huge part of me is sad, remembering killing slimes as a kid was almost magical.
