#BadOmens #TheDeathOfPeaceOfMind
In my mind, Bad Omens has already proven they can do heavy. They wanted to try something new and experimental and I'm all for it. Bands making the same music every album is never all that interesting to me. Also Noah's vocals have evolved so much it's wild.
Glad you are back. I hope I'm not the only one saying this but I wish nothing but the best for Ukraine. Much love from the USA.
Trying not to call bad omens bring me the horizon for 11 minutes and 27 seconds
IDWT$, Artificial Suicide and Just Pretend were definitely the standouts for me. I thought it was really solid, especially if you listen to it in one sitting, but in terms of individual songs the middle of the album is pretty lacking with the exception of The Grey. Solid 7.5-8/10.
just pretend is probably my fav from the album, so emotional, so melodic, but the whole record has a great vibe!!
Didn't love every song on this one, but the one's I love, I fucking LOVE
Bruh, …the people who gave this album 2.5/10 in the chat, I’ll find you
This album might divide fans kinda similarly to what Architects relesead last year, but man, I can honestly say that I'm addicted to what Bad Omens did created here. Obviously album isn't hard by almost any means, but I don't know, I'm just enjoying the concept of it and those insane vocals.
The best way I see this album is being “fun” it’s got a great mix of everything, the tiniest bit disappointed that there wasn’t another song as heavy as Artificial Suicide but it is what it is, still constantly impressed by Noah.
Man, I will never understand why this album ended up being as massive as it was. Architects, bring me the horizon, thousand below, Memphis May fire, Northlane, asking Alexandria, i see stars, parkway drive, the plot in you, etc. Have all done the exact same thing and soften their sounds to make it more appealing to a broader audience, and in doing so ditched everything that made them interesting or unique in the first place. I can't listen to any of those bands newer stuff now because it all sounds the fucking same. I get so bored with predictable song structure and repetition. Pretty much every song on the death of peace of mind has your basic verse - chorus - verse - chorus - bridge - chorus song structure. I just don't get it.
Fun Fact Noha's roomate is actually Jesse Cash from ERRA and Jesse wrote the guitar parts in WDYWFM? and ARTIFICIAL SUICIDE
Just Pretend is my personal favorite but the whole album was a banger imo.
This album is for you if you want to get over some bad things in life or get over an ex. The music is amazing
I know some people hate them but I'm vibing so hard to the interludes
As my first Bad Omens album, I think it’s very versatile and dynamic, which is commendable. I wouldn’t say the styles explored are all that original but they all come together for a unique overall experience. For sure a grower, but when it shows itself, I really like it!
If you havent seen Bad Omens live: DO IT!!! I saw them on that Underoath tour on this past tuesday in Portland, and I’d say they’re even better live than on the records. Noah Sebastian especially, he is absolutely amazing live
Firstly, I hope you're well, I couldn't make the stream but I'm glad to see so much was raised for the cause!
My top 5 songs:
i have such a strong emotional connection with every track bc of how much it spoke to me at the time it came out. 10/10 album imo, easily top 3 of all time
I am mad in love with this album. They gave me BMTH vibes when i first heard of them in 2016/2017
