I was just imagining the horror situation of letting a friend handle something like this, then carry it like a basket with the arch in the hand... I do wonder to make it stable, one could pierce the stones with armature wire? Really cool looking piece!
Turned out great. if you _do_ make another, I was wondering if either/both an internal frame wire, or hotglue instead of PVA, might make for a sturdier build? Portals and gateways are a huge part of the lore of one world I created, so I've got a bunch, but none of this design, so it has me thinking 👍🏾

Thank you, yup, would 100% use a wire if I did this one again
Looks great! I’m inspired to build some portals myself now haha
Threading a pace of coat hanger or wire in the archway may give some strength. and added stability.
Hmm.
How about running some wire (or a large paper clip, straightened) through the middle of each portal arch stone, poking both ends in to base?
Nice! Happy NY btw!
A better way to do the arch would be to feed the foam stones onto a wire to keep it solid there
Maybe some welding. :)
