The tooltip for Sacred Shield says it can only be applied to one target at a time. I'm guessing the 6 second shield will stay on one target if you cast sacred shield on another target, but I don't think the entire 30 second buff will stay on the first target.
hmm your right but weirdly i can do it on multiple people on my paladin atm, might be a bug but thanks for pointing that out, i'll pin your comment so people are aware :)
@@Hexstiera There are two sacred shield buffs. They're called the same thing (Sacred Shield) but have separate spell ids, do different things, and have separate icons. Buff A you can only have on one person at at a time. It lasts 30 seconds and has a chance to apply Buff B when the recipient takes damage. Buff B applies three different effects. An absorb over time. Second effect is while active on the recipient gives a 100% chance to crit with Flash of Light, Holy Light and Holy Shock to that recipient. The third effect of Buff B will apply a flash of light healing-over-time to the recipient whenever the paladin heals the recipient with flash of light regardless if it crits or not. Buff B can be on multiple people at a time but it will require casting multiple sacred shield on someone, waiting for them to take damage and then casting sacred shield one another person after they take damage. If you can time your heals to land while buff B is active you can gurantee a crit. In bursty or unpredicatable sets of damage taken this can be very difficult to do. Just remember that someone can not benefit from Buff B more often than 6 seconds. If it's applied, count in your head to 5. Then if damage is consistent, it'll probably reapply in about a second if not a little more.
Great video, I love seeing other fellow holy paladins (we are a rare kind) I just have a few things to say that are really important for anyone trying to best themselves (take it from a 99 - 100 parse) You should really use either macros or an addon like clique to make it so that you can mouse over heal your target. It was really painful to watch you clique on everyone you waste a lot of time, focus and efficiency, Sacred shield can only be applied on 1 target at a time, the only advantage of what you are doing is that the first 6s shield buff can be on more than 1 person at a time but it's really not worth it nor efficient enough since it takes your global cooldown. The Seal of Light doesn't work like that, it will only heal the person AA the target with your Seal on it. Beacon of Light will only heal it's Beacon target if you CAST a healing effect. Sheath of light is based on your Attack power so you should always prioritize Strength as a filler stat, use consumable that give strength or ap bonuses, ask for might from the Retribution paladin's buff and most importantly ALWAYS ALWAYS have your Seal of the crusader on yourself for the insane 161 attack power that it give. Fully buff I have well over 500 healing power (sheath of light giving around 200 healing power) Thanks for your time and we will finally have some plate items phase 3!
At around 1:23, you mentioned that using judgement of light causes melee raid members to also heal the beacon of light target. Is this still working? I just tested it, and it seems like it does not work.
it can but i still lack spell crit and since its what keeps my mana pool going i think personally the int is better with the current crit chance i can get with spells but your right both can be good it rly depends on ur build and your current crit chance with spells
As a veteran healer from vanilla all the way through now and a 5 year holy paladin main, check out Aptechka raid frames. Easily the best raid frame addon and can show both of these. I also have a WA for both but am at work right now so I can’t link it.

Getting into pally healing now, but doesn't sheathe of light make the divine strength talent rlly good too for ap->healing power?

does the race matter or just pick what looks cool?
THX
hopefully they'll add some healing sets for plate/mail/leather so all healers can get some nice gear and not just priests^^
Had to put this at 1.25 speed. Maybe drink a redbull before you record, or something. 😆 Great vid!

any good addon or weakaura to see beacon and sacred shield on the raid frame?
i dont rly use any weak auras tbh mainly just use elv UIs raidframes and manually throw em about :)

What professions do you go? I went tailoring + enchanting.
i have mining and blacksmithing, since i wanted the caster plate helm and i like running around looking for mining nodes;)
Plate healing? It’s almost like they completely forgot paladins could heal.
