90年にリリースされた、ペブルスの2ndアルバム「Always」が、LAリードとベイビーフェイスのプロデュースで、当時流行していたニュージャックスウィングの洗練されたサウンドだったので、ペブルスが好きになった。
その次に1stアルバムでこの曲のオリジナルを90年代初めから聴いてたが、おたこがカバーしていたとは、今まで30年以上全く知らんかったわ。
クリーミィマミからバリバリ80'Sアイドル路線だったおたこも、バブル時代にはイメチェンを図るためにニュージャックスウィング路線にチャレンジしたんだな。
