Aiku wasn't forced to play defender he was forced to play as support for strikers, him becoming a defender is on his own will to crush the failed strikers they made

Isagi and Rin have completely switched places at this point and Rin is starting to understand that (almost completely devoured in BL terms). Obviously, he’s too good of a player to let that slide so get ready for the fireworks. Also, Sae and Shidou are neck and neck for the MOM for U20 with Sae having the slight edge for his first half. For Blue Lock Rin has the lead over Isagi since they have both been involved heavily with every successful attack but if Isagi scores he gets it. They both have played really good defense for offensive players as well. It all comes down to who gets the final goal though. If it’s Shidou he gets the Hat trick MOM, and if Isagi or Rin gets it they will be the MOM.

Firstly we all saw Gagamaru's exceptional saves, no need to say anything abt him and Secondly for isagi, he was literally the core of every single attack (Not only goals) as stated by Sae also everyone who watches real life football knows the importance of a player like isagi in a match and he scored the winning goal when everyone hopes of winning was shattered when Sae blocked Rin in flow which was a cherry on top

That Gagamaru goal was fucking crazy. My heart dropped when I saw him dive but I had forgotten gagamarus crazy flexibility that he showed in Season 1.
