because he was a spoiled brat and legit had no real problems so the smallest of things became a huge deal 😂Jo had a dead mom, a dad away, a sister who was pregnant, Pacey had a family that treated him like dirt and blamed him for everything, Jen was shipped off from her parents, Jack was hiding a big secret, dealing with who he really was and accepting that, Andie had a sick mom and her own mental health issues. Dawson had a huge house, money, two parents..no real issues, so every little thing because a huge mess because he wasn't used to it and didn't know how to deal with it. So he made up this huge dial, and then painted himself as the hero for getting through it, while he was just moaning about it the whole time.
dawson had lot of real problems people just want to act like he did not, and for this pacey betray dawson pacey teling dawson to give joey space go after kate why in secret he went after joey. huge betral
Personally, I think Dawson is a great character. Interesting development: he goes from an imaginative, dreamy, somewhat capricious and naive child to a wise, original and creative adult. His progression throughout the series is exciting to watch, as is Jen's. On the other hand, he is not the typical hero, the prince charming of adolescent girls, and that is why I think he is rejected by some viewers. But symbolically speaking, characters like him and Jen are perfect for the series because they are very representative of this passage from childhood to adulthood.
Could definitely be. I like your point of view of Dawson. To me Dawson had way too many flaws that were hard to get passed. He was toxic and possessive, his claim on Joey was very hard to watch, the endless ultimatums, his slut shaming of Jen in season 1 is almost sickening. I get your POV, I really did like him in s4 and s5, especially with Jen (I felt as if that was his best time), and how he deals with Mitch's death was beautifully played but overall, he wasn't a character I did enjoy to be honest.
@@jennscrapbook I understand your point of view. It's true that the Dawson before "True Love" is special sometimes, and not always in a good way 😅 But precisely, I like the way he learns from his mistakes. For example, when he behaves like an asshole with Jen in season 1 when he learns that she is not a virgin, he very quickly recognizes his mistake, and quickly realizes how great her background makes her. Besides, he and Jen talk about it again in season 3, and we see how much he has grown. But I agree with you: it's also in season 4 and 5 that I prefer Dawson. This is where "Baby Spielberg" grows into a wise and strong adult.
@@clauderain312 yes! That I do agree with. I feel like in a weird twisted way this whole triangle thing made him grow up or sort of wake him up. His approach on season 4 was amazing. How he dealt with Jo and Pacey being together, his summer of grief then turned into new interests and new friendships, and then when they came back, he had accepted it. I remembed when he gifted Jo the photo of her and Pacey. Season 5 was also another step as though he had to accept the death of his father, help his mom and sister, try and hold it together with everyone while also trying to live his dream as a film maker. And Jen was amazing. I have always felt as if she was the one, not Joy. Jen really did love Dawson from the start. Season 6, I feel like we saw less and less of Dawson but he definitely did change.
I like Dawson he is just a young man who wanted to live his dreamed love experience. His first time had to be perfect with the right girl, the he fell in love with joey, but when he tried to be legally correct with Joey's father she broke up with him. Then was betrayed by the love of his live and his close friend. He saved Pacey's live in the boat and paid all 4 years of Joey's tuition at the university.... but still Dawson is the bad guy... But that's the way most women understand men.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST VIDEOS OF THESE THREE EVER!!! I am obsessed. This is SO stunning. The way it flows, the way you have the black&white and then into colour. The bit you had where you had the parallels between the Joey&Pacey&Dawson confrontation in S3 and S6 - same with the Pacey&Dawson bit from S4 and S6. Absolute perfection. Also I've always felt this song fit so I LOVE that you did it. This is honestly incredible!!!! You're bringing back my Dawson's Creek obsession!
think we can all agree that Dawson is probably one of the worst characters ever created DAWSON WAS ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERS EVER CREATED, people just hold dawson to a higher standard than everyone else,
i am so happy i stumbled upon this. This show has helped me through my teen years and i am always happy to get back to it. Especially seeing it vidded in such a unique way. Amazing video, perfect song choice and stunning editing. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your DC videos!!
Wow, enjoyed this. Hadn't heard that song by a make, pointing the finger at the female. Takes on a whole different meaning to me. Wow, sometimes a girl with a boyfriend becomes very close to her best friend, a male, and deep feelings of love develope, lasting long after the relationship w the boyfriend is over. The deep love for the best friend can last over 40years, and can develope into an even deeper love....this song just makes me think....I am very much in love with my best friend...
Why does Dawson ALWAYS play the victim

This video is fantastic 👏 and it continues to validate for me exactly why it had to be Joey and Pacey ❤.
