today was my first day in integration and i struggled to understand in class, but you explained it so well i was able to understand very well thank you so much for making this video. subscribed !
I love your efforts bro if you can upload more videos for beginners to advanced level that will be helpful for the people who are struggling to learn integration it's an humble request bro
Sure will upload, i think i already have a complete playlist but ill try to go much more simpler sp everybody could understand! Thanks for watching my videos 😄
Hi, thanks for the awesome video! As far as I can see, the url in the remote site setting is shorter than the one in the code. Does Salesforce allow a request if some part of the url in the remote site setting matches the one in the Apex code?
The url that i provided in remote site setting is base url. Example if you want to hit a callout at : Test.com/new/new2 Then provide test.com in remote site setting as its base url and it shall work
Remote site settings is like just informing salesforce that this is the endpoint url we are making callout to and its secure to do so. Once salesforce has this website or url registered in remote site settings it allows you to make callouts. Its very similiar to like if we have someone phone number in our mobile only then we either call them or let them call us if we dont have we consider it spams and ignore Here number = url Mobile phone = your sf org
And also can you please let me know, what are different places(Custom setting, custom metadata) we can save the end point url instead of remote site settings?
Custom metadata and settings are used to store frequently accessed data and not for authorizing the end points, The good place to authorizr url is remote site settings and best one is named credentials
Thanks to @Salesforce in 5 Mins 😊 The way you explained is Awesome😍

Hi, What is the reason for chopping the URL in the remote Site Settings ??
