Yes, Hugh and Ryan have been SKZ fans for years. Ryan found out that they did a Deadpool inspired performace on a competition show called Kingdom: Legendary War (incredible btw) and now he and Chan (aka. Chris, the leader) are friends. This was not in the movie but they do have a song, "Slash" (❤) in it briefly and at the end of the movie. Marvel did not even know Ryan and Hugh were doing the m/v so I think it was more of a favor/brilliant PR move. I mean, the massive fandom of kpop meets the massive fandom of Marvel...?
the reason their English is good is because both felix and bangchan, the guy singing the part on the roof you said you liked are from Australia. Also I would highly recommend megaverse by straykids as it is rap focused but also has some nice vocals in it and each individual member's style shows through a lot more and if you are looking for something funny to watch i would highly recommend skz code ep 57 and 58(straykids variety show)
The fun thing with Stray Kids is that they seem to talk to everyone. Not only did they make friends with Ryan & Hugh, they also got invited as a group to the Met Gala. (The first full group to do so. There have been other K-pop stars who have attended, but never a full group.) While at the Met, Chris Hemsworth kinda decided he wanted to pick all the members up. (Which he did. They talked about it afterwards. So Did Chris.) And he had known of them before meeting them. Most of Stray Kids members are polite & friendly. The most outgoing members are Bang Chan & Felix, and they do most of the talking. (It's actually fun. In one of their SKZ Talker GO episodes, they met DJ Snake & Adam Levine. Hyunjin wanted their autographs & asked Felix to go talk to them to do so. It was cute & he was fanboying so hard after he got his headphones signed.) It's quite fun to hear other people talk about SKZ. I'm glad you watched the video. Stray Kids are known for great transitions in their MVs. It's always fun to watch them. I hope you enjoy listening to more of their stuff.

This was kind of a crossover promotion. Stray Kids were originally going to be in the movie, but thanks to the writers' strike, their schedules couldn't be synced. They did contribute to the OST with Slash, though Chk Chk Boom wasn't in the OST. Bang Chan and Ryan Reynolds are both friends, as other commenters have pointed out, and he and Felix have had the chance to do promotional interviews with the actors in South Korea - available on YT of course, but the rest of the members have not really interacted with them and are quite shy with the actors... I saw a US interview with RR and HJ during their promotions for the movie, and RR always manages to mention Stray Kids and their music - he's such a fanboy. In fact, at one point he passed the comment that whilst he and Hugh are of course hugely famous, Stray Kids are on another level. What a compliment.

They're going to have an album comeback on December 13 with a SKZ HipTape with the title track Walking on Water and also includes solo songs from each member. I really agree with the top commenter they have music for everyone and any genre even R&B. They do have a staple for hype music though which is always great to hear. I admire how they create their own music and are 90-95% involved in all of their work which is rare in Kpop. Love your reactions to BP, Babymonster and Stray Kids! Please continue more Stray Kids!

You mention their English so I wanted to explain that and how Hugh and Ryan got into the video 😂 So skz has 4 members who are fluent in English as 2 (Felix and bang Chan) are from Australia, 1 member (Han) grew up in Malaysia for a while where they speak English most commonly, and 1 member (seungmin) who lived in the us for a short period of time but picked up English pretty quickly. They’ve been helping other members also learn English so everyone has at least the basics. I would say Hyunjin is also pretty fluent at this point. They actually released a video recently where their maknae (I.N) had to order food for them in English as a challenge and he did really well with some help from the others. Now for how Hugh and Ryan got into the video 😂 a while back the kids preformed on a tv show called legendary kingdom and one of their performances was Deadpool themed. That performance went viral and reach Ryan. Ever since Ryan has been a big fan of straykids and befriended Bang Chan. Hugh I’m pretty sure was introduced to them either through Ryan or the same way but they are both big fans. Ryan messaged Bang Chan (like literally just texted him) to see if they had a song they would want in the Deadpool and Wolverine movie (slash) and Bang Chan invited them to be apart of their music video. Ryan didn’t even ask marvel if they could 😂 Bang Chan found out about that while he and Felix were interviewing them for the movie 😂 Skz recently had a Japanese comeback so I highly recommend their new song “GIANT” I also recommend watching a guide video of some kind to help you get to know the members.
